Let us sit down and think about this for a while.

Atiku is the presidential flagbearer of AC, member of the PDP and the VP of the country whose president is the leader of the PDP. Now, how dis one be for una ear??

I have not seen any country in the world that run a VP from another Party, I have not seen country in the world where the Vp will not obbey and carry out the orders of his boss and still want to be the VP.

What Atiku should have done was to resign his position, decamp tp AC and run for presidency.

Since he has failed to do that I think Baba has every right to sack him.

PDP expels Atiku, declares his seat vacant
The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at an emergency meeting in Abuja on Friday expelled Vice President Atiku Abubakar and declared his seat vacant. The Vice President had on Wednesday in Lagos declared for another political party, the Action Congress and was elected as the party's presidential candidate. The National Working Committee of the party met on Wednesday night immediately after the Vice President's declaration in Lagos and resolved that the PDP's relationship with him be determined once and for all. It was also learnt that the meeting resolved that the Vice President, who was suspended for three months over alleged anti-party activities, should be expelled having declared officially for another party.

@ALL For your information Atiku is no more the VP of Nigeria. Infact he stoped being the VP when he was selected the presidential candidate of AC. He should not only be stoped from usingg the Jet he should be impeached for in anti party activities.

The guy is a dumbass, he is just too greedy. I wonder the kind of president he would become if he could not respect his boss.

The guy is just too foolish

Politics › Re: Press Release: Gov. Donald Duke Withdraws From The Presidential Race by stanech: 5:27pm On Dec 17, 2006
Please I think Duke did the best thing by stepping down. And my reasons are that he was not winning the heart of the PDP governors and the president and you guys know that without that he cannot win in the primaries.

All those asking him to choose another platform should know that there is no way PDP will loose to any other party even if all Nigerians voted for that party.

And also he may get any good position either a minister or a VP which he would not get if he chooses to join another party. And if he does he will continue to serve the people with his wonderful Ideas and programs

All we have to do is sit back and watch.

May God bless Nigeria

My brodas there is no need to be surprised. It is the nigerian thing. Few people sit down in a bear palour and discuss the future of the country. Too bad.

Even if I am disapointed about his withdrawer from the race I am also happy he is not on his way out of the PDP. He should put loyalty first in everything he does especially to his party, because that's the best way to know a good politician. believe me brothers and sisters I know things are going to get better Lets wait till the presidential primary is concluded.

I say Duke should either dump PDP or run as an independent. At least there is honour in there.
For me I think he (Duke) should remain in PDP even if he looses in the primaries I think it will be wise to remain in there because the opposition never wins in Africa especially a presidential election. And Even if another person win's the election Duke may be the best person suitable for a vice president or a member of the cabinet

I'm not a big fan of OBJ either, but at the very least we have seen some positive changes under his leadership. On the other hand, what can Alhaji Atiku lay claim to? What can "he" or "has he" offered Nigeria?? Sincerely, do you think Atiku can positively change the current situation in Nigeria if elected president? This man needs to return to the custom borders and clear some of the corrupt officers he left there!

Imagine VP Chenney or Deputy PM John Prescott publicly coming out in the open to say such things about their boss? This man has no shame, he needs to step aside. Nigerians do not want such people in the corridors of power!!

Perhaps, I've been unfair to this man, maybe someone can list some of his accomplishments on this site?
Good post

I wonder what makes BigB1 to have thoughts or dream of IBB will ruling this country. Get this straight:
What the other presidential aspirants are campaigning to wipe out  is what IBB encourages.

Do you know what that is?  CORRUTIOIN

It was introduced into Nigerian system by IBB it has turned our lovely country into a den for criminals and anybody who wants to become the president of this country must be ready fight against it and not to encourage it.

Let us give our support to Duke he has the ability to take Nigeria to the promise land.
