Happy Independence Day Nigeria!!

Campaign don start. *yimu* |
Amoge lay down on her mat, the cold floor was one reason that kept her awake, she starred at the top of the room where she slept alone, changing positions in her restlessness. Gushes of cool wind came in through the window as if sent by a force, beckoning on her, giving her the courage to be where she really wanted to be; at the market square for mme n’abali, the night of lovers. ‘‘Why won’t he let me go?’’ she lamented that afternoon as her mother plaited her hair ‘‘It is for your own good Oge, your father is trying to protect you’’ replied her mother, steadying her head ‘‘From what? She asked ‘‘wasn’t that where he met you or would he have seen you if your father hadn’t let you go’’ Her mother tittered and said; ‘‘the men of today cannot be trusted, you are not just Ada, but you are our only daughter, your father will not allow you bring shame to his name’’ ‘‘But—‘’ Amoge started ‘‘Enough!’’ her mother stopped her. Amoge held her peace, no need to get her mother upset while she was working on her hair. Another gust of wind came in, this time with hands, very strong hands that picked her up from her mat and quietly led her out of her room; she took quick but quiet steps to the backyard careful not to wake her parents or her younger brothers up and looking around to make sure no one was watching she stole into the night. The drums invited her with their quick beats that made her legs move faster, as if impatient to get there before their owner, she had already begun dancing before she got to the venue; this has to be Ogbonnaya’s hand she thought, only he could command such melodious beat from the igba. Her heart stopped when she saw him, so did her body. He was exactly where he said he would be waiting for her; he was sitting by under tree a few feet from the dance. ‘‘Kachi’’ she called out softly He looked up and his face lit up immediately, what he had been waiting for had finally come. Onyekachukwu, son of Achunaifeuwanike, from the neighbouring village of Umuagu, was a wrestler and warrior, known not only for his strength and agility but mostly for his winning streak; no man alive had ever thrown his back to the ground and he remained the undisputed champion of the five villages, he was the man every man wanted to be and every young girl wanted to call husband. At six feet five inches he stood, with carefully crafted muscles from years of training and physical exertion, like most warriors he kept his beard but his was neat and trimmed saving him the scruffy look of his contemporaries. However what melted the hearts of all the girls including Amoge was him smile, a reflection of his gentleness and kindness, exposing his perfectly arranged set of teeth. A quiet and calm man, it was said that the only time he ever lost his temper was when he was protecting his people from external aggression. Kachi got up quickly and ran to meet Amoge, but she caught him half way and they hugged tightly as though they hadn’t seen just that morning when she went to fetch water at the stream. He took her hand and led her to the dance pushing her gently into the midst of other maidens getting ready to dance, she was aware of the jealous eyes that followed them and danced her way to meet her twin friends, clapping hands with them they began to dance. Amoge danced more than she had ever done in her life, moving her buttocks, hips, her waist, her shoulders and every part of her body that she could twist and turn, she could hear kachi cheering her and she danced even more. The young men took over; dancing comical steps mostly to amuse their girls, Kachi’s steps resembled that of a fighter, his monkey styles made Amoge giggle and he dragged her tenderly to dance with him, pulling her close to him and they basked in their sweat and funk, and the pairing began. As they dispersed, pair by pair each one to his desired route, Kachi escorted Amoge to her home and they reminisced on the night, holding hands as they walked through the forest. ‘‘Thank you for coming out tonight’’ said ‘‘You know I would do anything for you. She replied. "If I asked you to marry me would you agree’’ he asked Amoge stopped short, her joy almost made her say yes but she restrained herself, ‘‘come and see my people first’’ she replied. In a fortnight I will come’’ he promised. With a shy kiss they parted ways and Amoge strolled to her compound nonchalantly forgetting she had sneaked out. ‘‘Amoge nno o’’ a familiar voice greeted her with the whip landing on her back exactly where kachi had scratched earlier |
tomzz:Thanks a lot, I will put new episodes weekly. but it's her sister who is pregnant. |
When David Nana Bello stepped into his apartment, he felt something was wrong. It was eerily quiet and cold, a sharp distinction from the reception he had met when he landed back in his homeland from another rescue mission. He had successfully led his small team to rescue about fifty kids from another set of human traffickers who he had been tracking for months. Bello, only able to catch one of the traffickers, threw all his anger and frustration at the tall lanky dude, splitting his upper lip with one punch before Soji his partner could pull him off. 'Bastard!' He spat at the suspect clearly passed out on the hot sand. He shrugged of from Soji's firm grip. Back home, the team was welcomed back like heroes; cameras in their faces, lights flashing in their eyes and recorders almost shoved down their throats. Bello as he was fondly called expertly withdrew himself from the rowdy bunch and made his way to his superior's office. There he was welcomed with shot of whiskey , a firm handshake and sincere commendation. "Bello, you have done it again! Need I ask how you nailed those busters? Bello shook his head slowly, a smug smile graced his face. "Well you have once again piqued the interest of our ogas at the top, they have brought a new proposal this time" The fat bellied man strutted briskly to the nearby drawer and pulled out a silver coloured file "Hmmm....they are calling it Director, Anti-Trafficking Agency" "Uh...No. The title, the agency, too bogus for me" Bello said, stifling a laughter "Is that your excuse this time, Bello?" The superior asked, sticking the file roughly into the drawer and slamming it shut with his distended stomach. "The next proposal they bring, am shoving it down your throat, you hear me Bello? "Yes sir, I have to leave now, my wife-" "Yes yes, you can leave, you have been away for far too long." Now standing in the corridor of his apartment, Bello could hardly breathe. He flung the kitchen door open, everything looked in place, the parlor bore similar fate. It was the bedroom that made his insides twist and turn. Her side of the bed was in disarray, a broken glass on the floor with red juice soaked into the rug, almost dried. She has been gone for a while he thought. What really set him off was the wardrobe, with one door flung wide open. Clothes were scattered and hung out, like someone rummaged through them. The next thing he saw sent blood rushing to his brain, the box where they usually kept emergency money lay on the floor. Open. Empty. "Oh My God! Christy!" Bello ran into the Parlour and picked his phone, dialling for Soji in a mad haste. "Bastard! Pick up the phone will you!" He shouted when the line was ringing for longer than he could take. "Soji here" "God! Soji! My wife has been kidnapped! "Where are you?" "In my Parlour" "Stay there, don't call anyone, don't do anything. I will be right there. Bello hastily answered the loud bang on the door as hastily as he could. "God! Bello, I came as fast as I could. What they hell is going on here" "They have taken her Soji! How the hell am I gonna explain this" Bello showed Soji around quickly. The front door was intact when you came...this is strange Bello. Soji squeezed his brows with his fingers, turning around to think, trying to figure out what to do next. "My past has come back to haunt me", Bello said, slumping into the couch. "Hush man, don't talk like that, we don't know for certain yet. Have you called her parents?" "Huh? And tell them what? I can't find your daughter?" If your theory about the haunting past is right, then we have just one option" "The stakes will be too high Soji!" Higher than the value of your wife's life? Soji snapped at Bello, he was getting impatient. The sound of the door knob shut their mouths up in an instant, when they heard the door open both men behind the couch instinctively. As they crouched behind the sitting furniture silently waiting for the presumed intruder, the two men reached slowly for their guns and with affirmed nods, they jumped out of their hiding shouting "Freeze!!" Two hands flew up in the air, dropping it contents to the floor. Bello was the first to recover from the shock. Angela! What are you doing here? Bello shouted "Where is my wife?" Soji slapped his hand immediately "Christy is in the hospital, David" "What!" Bello felt weak in his knees Her sister went into labour....... To be continued. |

Chai! Just go and be a permanent NYSC Corp member |
This is the kind of person that used to make me feel ashamed while I was a Catholic. Senseless man, wonder why they won't take a cue from the Pope. |
Everything Tonto Dike has done concerning this marriage brouhaha has made me realize that she has little sense and she just really loves the attention, pity and publicity. She is using her son to make people pity her and hate his father, but it ain't gonna work sister! Who uses their child for this sort of madness ? Every sane parent would want their child to grow in a positive environment and also privately. Instead of her to shield the boy from the drama she is immersing him in it, let's pray it does not blow up in her face. |
*sings* this is super story |
Just allow the man to see his child Aunty. Stop all this drama and photo op ![]() |
They should fire the stylist and creative director. Very poor ![]() |

Things we do for love... |
I don't know why people use their influence for negativity. Must you take sides with one side simply because because you don't like one person from the other side. Ahan!! Everyone knows you don't like Buhari yes, but you don't have to talk like you drop your sense anytime something connected to him comes up. Yes, what the northern youths declared was wrong and should be condemned no doubt, but don't commend Kano for the nonsense he trying to do. I keep saying it, once things get too hot to handle he will just go to a better country all in the name of 'going on exile'. Let's just be watching nollywood wood film,at least it has more spice than the ones we are seeing now |
I think I first learned of Biafra in History, I was fascinated because to me it was an ideal, a dream that held somewhat interesting future if they had succeeded. By Biafra we saw that things could be invented no matter how crude, just for the survival and preservation of human rights. The story of Biafra is a lesson to all those who are educated and use their education to reason. Have you examined what will happen if igbos move en masse back to the east? The population surge, the competition for scarce resources which would in turn lead conflict. Then you will forget that your nwanne is actually your brother when you both want that same scarce resource. Have you thought of what it means to be a landlocked entity in the middle of hostile neighbors? Go and ask Uganda. You will be suffocated in your own land. Don't think Always I bomb, Cross Rivers and Co will follow you anywhere. You can pass the land boundary, no sea for you to import and export and don't even think of airways, Nigerian Air Force will shoot you down! Those misguided youth following Kanu should do their research. See the dangers of wars, see who suffered. Ojukwu did not suffer o, neither did his kids. It was the common man dying of hunger in the streets, kids looking like bags of bones and mothers with empty breast. When things get tough Kanu will leave you and go to the UK in the name of exile. Na den your eye go clear finish. That being said. I have never really lost hope in Biafra, but for it to become an actuality it will take years and years of careful planning, equipping, strategies, go and ask MICHAEL SCOFIELD! Not all this tribal, regional and ethnicity nonsense am seeing and hearing. It pisses me off! Suprise us one day! Instead of going naked on the streets borrow the round table from the Knights of CAMELOT, am sure ARTHUR won't mind. Plan, plan and plan or sit down and shut up and join the broom stick to make it strong. A word is enough for the wise. |
IF this is true....then May God have mercy. Pastors are more antichrist than any other group. They live life the exact opposite of the principles Jesus taught. |
MakeWeTalk:Don't be silly boy. If actually meant to read for understanding and knowledge you won't type the nonsense you just wrote. Those who do not fight or threaten you should not be harmed. Allah has made limits which we are it supposed to break, but sadly there are some misguided, they will have their recompense. If you don't like Islam, Pls focus on your own religion and KEEP OFF!! |
MakeWeTalk:You are very ignorant and full of hate. You neglected to mention the preceding verse Allah SWT says: إِلَّا الَّذِينَ عٰهَدتُّمْ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنْقُصُوكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَمْ يُظٰهِرُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدًا فَأَتِمُّوٓا إِلَيْهِمْ عَهْدَهُمْ إِلٰى مُدَّتِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ "Excepted are those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists and then they have not been deficient toward you in anything or supported anyone against you; so complete for them their treaty until their term [has ended]. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him]." (QS. At-Tawba 9: Verse 4) Or the following one Allah SWT says: وَإِنْ أَحَدٌ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ اسْتَجَارَكَ فَأَجِرْهُ حَتّٰى يَسْمَعَ كَلٰمَ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ أَبْلِغْهُ مَأْمَنَهُ ۥ ۚ ذٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْلَمُونَ "And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the words of Allah. Then deliver him to his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know." (QS. At-Tawba 9: Verse 6) Or the next one Allah SWT says: كَيْفَ يَكُونُ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ عَهْدٌ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَعِنْدَ رَسُولِهِۦٓ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ عٰهَدتُّمْ عِنْدَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ ۖ فَمَا اسْتَقٰمُوا لَكُمْ فَاسْتَقِيمُوا لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ "How can there be for the polytheists a treaty in the sight of Allah and with His Messenger, except for those with whom you made a treaty at al-Masjid al-Haram? So as long as they are upright toward you, be upright toward them. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him]." (QS. At-Tawba 9: Verse 7) |
