A professional architect will never do structural drawings himself except he is also a well trained structural engineer or has a structural engineer attach/with his firm to do it.

are u sure about that bro? in this hard nigeria now who still does only one job? i do structural drawings very well, MEP too. i was lucky to have an electrical engineer as a father my electrical drawings are top notch. so wherever the job comes from i eat it like jollof. alot of structures at eti osa ikorodu isolo were designed my me. my drawings go through physical planning without a single comment, my calculation sheet in structures will make u pee in ur pants. i dont even handle contracts unless it will be worth my effort, i reject alot of them. i can sit with my laptop designing, for 6months like a yahooboy . i have sold my template for 100k for fellow architects and engineers. sit there and be speaking grammar.

Really it seems I have always been quoted high prices for this service. The first time I made drawings was in 2012 and it was 500k. I made another one in 2014/15 for 700k. I did not build any of those as I changed my mind, sold one of the land and still keeping the other. This one of 1.4 million was done last year and I am about completing the building now. My friends get quoted similar figures for their drawings too so I am baffled at the prices guys are quoting.

First of all... I am not happy an architect Drew this kind of plan for a client in this 21st century.

1. The Rooms are like a prison... God forbid.. if there is fire outbreak from the kitchen and have spread to the dining and living room.. the whole family in the rooms will perish because the only access way is the long corridor to the living room..

2. What we normally preach here about darkness at corridor will be experiensed in this plan because there is no natural light access to the corridor.
3. why locate all the bedrroms to that back including Master bedroom. For security reasons... a room is should at least face the gate... though not a must...

lastly... stanlee. pkease refund the clients money.. This is not an architectural design...

I wanted to give him all the drawings but he wanted to play me even on top the fact that i wanted to help him so that's why I changed my mind. sir the drawings has been released to him. I have sent him all architectural drawings, if he refuses to pay my balance then he should have another person do the structural and mechanical. I have the drawings yes but I worked it out so he must pay before he gets it just like how he did for the architectural.

The only good thing that Microsoft did was translating MS DOS to a much more user friendly Windows OS which pave way for Java, Symbian and Android. Every other things they developed has been trash. My advice 4 is to learn a skill, even if its any low paying skill at least sometin dat will earn you something to substain urself and be self employed. Nigerian employers are just out to rip off employees, making u work like a slave and eat like an ant. Ppl will only hail u in ur environment that u are employed but u can't pay your bills, what kind of life is that.

My basic expenses per month is roughly 100k, my other expenses fueling my car and others run over 60k talk about rent and other bills but I'm not bothered, i can get that from one job alone, when i get up to 3 jobs a month means i will ball hard and put cash into other personal projects coz i work for myself and no one else. Bro self employment is the only way out of proverty.

I enjoyed my service year as well. Camp was wonderful, in fact i remember wishing we could remain in camp for longer.

I also achieved a lot during my service year, so i don't look back on that 1 year as a loss.

I think it should not be taken out completely, what I suggest is adjustments, that should be done. Like let it be optional, whoever that want to go should indicate from school and call up lettesl given, and and exception letters given to who doesn't want to go, then Because of the insecurities and other country challenges been faced in the country, everyone should serve in their place of choice, instead of going through the stress of redeployment after camp. The most that would happen will be no more intergration amongst coppers and organisations or offices will not collect to much corpers.


Then, the government should make it mandatory that, offices calling for the services of corpers, do not make the certificate mandatory, if a graduate has it, good if they don't have it it's fine, move on with recruitment.


Everything lies with the government.
But on a second thought, public opinion should be allowed on the matter, votes counted, if the most is to scrape it, or take it off completely then, perfect let it go.
