ManOfCompetence:better than tailoring if u ask me. With this all u need is your laptop. U can watch YouTube videos to learn faster too. Best part lf this is u can find alot of clients online and earn decently. My guys who are graphic designers are all big boy infact i did a architectural design for one not up to 3months ago and he's already on the first floor of the building. You can add other skills like web designs, etc to it and u will be swimming in millions. Anything that will make you work under someone try to advoid it especially now the country has crashed. dominique:and most ppl who are really qualified for that job are not able to apply because they don't meet the requirements. Learning on the job is a big luxury. I remember my company bringing in some engineering graduates for interviews, with all their impressive results they all flopped. Well maybe what they knew will be needed in julius berger or CCECC but to us, they wouldn't learn even if we wanted to tutor them for 6months. 9 Likes |

I ve gone through the whole thread and alot of you here are misguided. Stop distracting and desturbing your brain with those stamp pro or is it stap dro, focus on AutoCAD, get a really good engineer to teach u how to convert AutoCAD to the money. Who's asking you to design a railway, one is even talking about wind load, how many high rise buildings will be built in this country that can barely solve electricity problem. Kudos to a engr there that spoke on knowing it all from M&E to architectural, that's where the money is. Help yourself as a civil engineer, learn the money side of this or your life will become miserable in unemployment. mikoy1:not so true. Phones are becoming very reliable like automatic car engines. Before you have alot of things to repair in a phone but now how many phones now have fault like mouthpiece,earpiece,flex, etc. the whites are not sleeping, now its very easy to detect car faults unless the car is very old. Even that fashion design is too saturated mhen, I would advise she learns something that requires a computer and she can execute form 0 to 100 on her own. In this present country the worse situation is to work for someone and at month end no salary. She should risk it now quit that nonsense job and learn, not when she's 30 or above she starts regretting. 2 Likes |

Plus5:right. No one founds a company that will fire him rather they build the company and step down for a hier like a retirement, but for some companies especially the tech company it can happen especially when u the founder can't come up with something innovative for a very long while. But a production company like dangote, never!dangote can only retire and have someone else running things and he will create a trust fund to cover all revenues etc 5 Likes |

Saint99:not like he was fired, he only stepped down a bit like a sort of retirement plan of which all companies owners do it especially if they have a trusted person nas they need to teach him how to run the company just incase of a demise. Bill gate also did it, for years now gates is no longer the ceo but Microsoft can't do without that name so for generations gate will only sit and earn. The real difference wjy white collar jobs saves more is the peaceful environment they enjoy. These jackboiz that makes more money or income have you considered the rough environments in which they make it? Coupled with the stress, the energy put into getting the work done, etc fos instance a mechanic makes more yes but the needs alot of energy i mean real energy not just someone sitting on a chair under an AC, so after working this same mechanic is all stressed out and needs some place to ease of before u know it 4bottles of beer is down, he ends off relaxing with a call girtl and in a night almost half of all those 6figures he worked is almost gone. The white collar guy earns little yes but he gets to keep that little on top the Chilled acc, plus a nice working environment (aside a boss shouting on you though). So my ppl somehow someway white collar especially the self employed is key |

Fuckthamods:that's the employers tactics, they will deceive him by telling him he has to learn the ropes by working with them, and you will be working real time and they will keep fooling him that he's still learning. Law and engineering firms are very guilty of that especially engineering firms. They will recruit u only to bring your salary very low by saying you don't know ghe real thing yet and alot of graduates do fall for it because the field has to do with experience but don't be fooled coz what u learnt in school is exactly what will be done at that office.
