I never said Gcam made no (positive)difference, it did on certain scenarios but most of the time makes pictures darker, turning me to an ugly black boy


my verdict is Gcam takes better pictures in a bright environment while Samsung stock cam takes better in darker environments... Note that I've not taken out to test out both camera apps properly, so these might change...

the s10 selfie cam for me isn't very good, I was not well impressed.

I don't have any recent high end smartphone with me only those of 2 years ago, so wouldn't fly here

Lol. Is an early GCam mod. Give it time. I need to test the GCam mod on this 7 Pro properly. Early signs point to a WIN tho

No doubt on certain scenarios the Gcam take better photos than the stock camera on the s10 but most of the time I don't think so as I have the Gcam snapdragon port installed on my s10 yet I sometimes still get very dark pictures using the Gcam....

About what you said concerning the selfie cam on the s10, that's true. I really hate the selfie cam.

Lol. 2-3 months old GCam. With time. I tried GCam on S10e. I saw the difference it makes especially to the selfie cam.

How is your selfie cam quality? Stock. I feel it's bad. Please tell me what you think. Try to compare to another mid-high end phone.

I took a selfie with the OnePlus 3. Looked better than S10.

BUILD QUALITY
The design of the S10+ isn't exactly new, it's been around since the Galaxy S6. It has been refined over time and now it's great, overall build quality is good. 'Glass-slab' design i like to call it.
Definitely feels very premium but then it's a glass build, so i always rely on good cases from the likes of 'Spigen' to keep it protected. I've dropped my phone once, the tough armor case from Spigen protected it well.
The display is gorgeous, one of the brightest displays on the market if not the brightest at 1200 nits. Outdoor visibility is excellent. The taking point of that display however is the hole-punch. The cutout housing the front camera and depth sensor. It doesn't disturb me, even as it blocks out some parts of a video, but how much can you really miss out on? However, it may disturb some others as it's kinda 'odd' having a hole in your display. Well, two in the case of the S10+. The display is curved of course but that's not an advantage in terms of functionality. Infact when you aren't used to it, your palm area will register many accidental touches. I rather a flat display for efficiency, but that curved display sure is great to look at. Aesthetics.
The device is waterproof, IP68 rated which means, yes! You can go for a swim with it, or wash it when it's dirty (Please don't) .


PERFORMANCE
The new Samsung skin on top of Android 'One UI' is great. Works very well, no lags, everything is smooth. I always felt like the Galaxy S9, Note 9 and the likes... Were good phone, great hardware bottlenecked by a mediocre software 'Touchwiz'. Now, One UI coupled with 8GB of RAM and the Exynos 9820, everything is a breeze. The Snapdragon version is a little bit faster, i have seen videos. However, that doesn't mean the Exynos one is a slouch in anyway. Everything is quick. Samsung did finally fixed their UI. THANK GOD!


SOFTWARE
Breaking One UI down, i love it's features. There are a handful of useful features which I think are worth a mention.

1. Night Mode: I mean, the way to look at any thing is in black or well, dark mode or well 'Night Mode'. Lol. This is the feature that makes the whole UI darker and this being an AMOLED display, blacks just look fantastic. And yh, you save some battery in the process. Darker colours save battery on AMOLED screens especially black. So, you want to use a dark wallpaper. They

6gb ram today is cool, 8gb ram is perfect, 12gb ram oh common. It's not like you are going to be stuck on same device for three years. If things are good, six months is just enough

If things aren't good, you need a device that can take you as long as possible.

Haptic feedback is better. But I don't use it for keyboard. I just feel like that's so much battery you can save. And i think iPhone is stlll the best. Maybe not the strongest/biggest but feel. Should be.

I knowww. I had two solid years with the 1+5, so I know even if there are bugs, they'd get fixed pretty quickly.

The people i sold my 3, 5, 5T, 6, 6T to are all people i know and chat with lol. Kinda strange, but yh.

TILL THIS DAY. Still using those devices. OnePlus builds durable devices. That's for sure

Yet to try it. I don't play mobile games on my phone. I do that on my iPad Pro. It has a bigger battery and screen, and i don't have to worry about charging it all the time.

I will try it out i guess. Another thing to test. Whew!

Not yet. It should arrive before Monday. I have been reading not quite comforting news about ghost touches, etc on the forum. I trust all of these will be fixed in future updates.

The 3.5mm bullets and the type C converter were out of stock when I ordered. Although I only intend to use the type C bullets as handsfree, as the audio quality on my Sony WH1000XM2 has never let me down.

Alot of times before i get a new phone, I'll see comments about something that's wrong but never see it when i get it. However, the first thing i did was install the latest software update. So maybe that's fixed already. Maybe. However, I've seen nothing as such.

Lol. Most devices these days are all screen. That's the goal, as much screen as possible. It's just an overall bigger device. And that alone can/should be basis for extra heft.

Nice! I got a mirror grey Pro with 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage and a workout bundle from the US. I had to more so because I lost my 1+5 in traffic. It arrives this week(end). Can't wait.

I do have both the Bullets Type C and Bullets 3.5mm versions. The bullets are one of the best, if not the best earphones I've tried. At least in terms of overall loudness/clarity. Sound can be a tad more robust i think. But compared to the AKGs that come with the S10+, Bullets for me.

Nice! Better than the last two videos... 6hrs+ SOT with about 32% battery remaining, not bad... Plus or minus it should be over 9hrs SOT at the end. How fast is the front camera pop-up when using the face unlock feature?

It landed at EXACTLY 9hrs 30 mins screen time and 32hrs total time. But I won't take too much out of that. First cycle is almost never accurate. I did drain it completely flat and I'm charging up now from 0 to test charge speed also. When that's done, I'll see what the 2nd cycle looks like.

I'm not using face unlock at this time, it means the device has to bring up the camera every single time the screen comes on even if it's by mistake. I don't think i like that. However, i will try it out and see.

And yes, I did figure out how to support auto focus with manual focus on my camera. It's only my second week or so with this new camera and well, first time making videos like these... It can only get better. No? Will drop another video soon on the Bullets Wireless 2.

Will cover these in full review. I almost never notice phone weights. But it's a bigger device compared to the S10. That's for sure. Should be heavier too. Check GSMArena for weight specs.

Yeah i believe you will improve with time but don't you think using a flip case will add more protection to the screen in the absence of a tampered glass till whenever it's available?

I have never broken nor even cracked a phone display till this day (knock on wood). And I've used alot of them.
My S10+ only has a film screen protector applied. I'll try and ride my luck at long as I can. (P.S: I hate flip cases). Except on my iPad abeg! That one, i cannot even hear any story.
