We sincerely apologize for the difficulties faced.

Bolt is a registered ride-hailing company in Lagos and during the course of our operations in the state, we obtained a license to operate that caters for our service within the state.

Bolt is actively engaging the Lagos State Government in formulating policies or regulations for the ride-hailing space, which is a major step in the right direction for ensuring seamless operations in the city for ride-hailing companies and all registered and intending drivers in the state.

We are also currently engaging the Ministry of Transport and the Vehicle Inspection Services on the clarity of the Operational License, Hackney Permit and LASDRI card as a requirement to drive on the Bolt platform. With this development, all enforcement from the Vehicle Inspection Services and other enforcement agencies have discontinued. It is important for us to make sure that your daily activities driving on the Bolt platform is certified with the relevant regulatory agencies in Lagos State.

Good morning to all guys on the road out there. This is what I think we should do. For all Nigeria to hear what is happening on the road, with the VIO parking private cars for hacking permit which is unlawful for a private cars. Is time, to make it viral..... not just in this group, because nobody see your talks and comments on this platform only drivers here does. Go to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube.... Tell Nigeria what VIO is doing to (Private plate numbers) with this, I know something most done.

Pls be informed that the main reason behind the VIO PALAVA is that the Lagos state govt. and UBER had been at loggerheads since 2016.

Lagos state govt had wanted UBER to obtain operating license since 2016, but up until now, UBER has been dribbling Lagos state govt. This is why the government has decided to get the revenue from drivers directly.

If u are stopped by the VIO, even if u have the hackney permit and lasdri, they will still ask you for your operating license which obviously nobody has.

The shocking part is that even if u pay the 20k fine for not having all these, your car would still not be released. They would now charge you for another offence which is "using a private car for commercial purpose"

Their main aim is to regulate the e hailers by giving all the drivers a tag, so that they could start generating revenues from them or make them fall under NURTW by forcing them to obtain the red plate numbers.

So , guys, what I think we should be talking about is how we will massively go offline on Monday. By this, even the riders will cry out, thereby putting a pressure on the govt. When moving around becomes so hectic, they will come to their senses I know there are some drivers that have had covenant with poverty. They would feel like dying if they don't put on their APPS in a day. Pls tell those people that we need our unity now like never before.

If we had a solid union or association, this is the time it would have been useful.

From these e-hailing business, UBER and BOLT make more money than any driver. So, if there is massive logout, they will surely lose more. They should handle this.
