I wonder what a country that does not respect or honour their heroes feel under the belly. I remember how much sacrifice thus guy and the gut he showed over the years to bring the nbbf and Nigeria basket ball to the limelight it enjoys today. How he captained and played thru injury to win for Nigeria her first ring in Afrobasket in a continent dominated and cornered by the Angola and the Senegal. He captained us to the first ever back to back final in Afrobasket only to lose to the host in Final, the Tunisia, due to lack of representations as we string together a new set of team to the event. This singular feat announced to the continent the arrival of a new king, a power house in BB and this singular act was sparely executed with the leadership maestro of IK Diogu and his ever relevant vice (his name not on my mind now). Not relenting, this crop of guys who are always available qualified us to both Olympic without scratches only for the incompetent people in nbbf to allow Mike Brown of GSW to drop them for the unloyal NBA stars that disgrace us at the Olympics and turn down invitations to rep us at the last afrobasket. Now that we are down, we have no choice than to run back to ik Diogu. What a shame.

My bad ! I want to be a governor in 2023 election. This is great idea sir. That is the problem, kettle-head. My pry obstacle now is the funding. And this made me sad. Never worry for a moment sir, why not create an homongous project as big as the pharaoh pyramids and put the take off time in the month of April. If the project failed to fly, nobody will judge or arrest you because April first is a fool paradise and the world will applaud you for this crime against your own people. The money for the project can be fvvcked out to run 2023. What is your take sir ? You are very foolish. Efcc must dial your number. Bad advisor, my foot.

April is a month that is synonymous with deceit. Particularly April first. So how on earth will a reasonable nation make a commitment and propose it for take off in April not forgetting the failed promises that surround this project in the first instance.

There are poor people everywhere and you are conflating many issues. Yes, there is corruption and there is bad leadership but that's not the point of discussion. The point is education has a cost and it must be paid somehow.

In the past, a student who knows he is poor excels academically in order to get a scholarship. That's how it happens in the US or Canada, for example. You can't be poor and still be an average student, hoping the government subsidize your education. Sooner or later, fees would have to be massively increased in Nigerian universities. The discussion must be centered on what can be done to make people be able to afford it. And it's the same thing as I have said earlier on, a combination of scholarships and student loans.
If u don't agree with me. I will agree with you. Now, can the govt at all level make students loans available now before implementing obnoxious policies. If they do that first nobody will cry blue murder.

That's not the university's problem. In the US, Ole Miss and Harvard won't charge the same amount. They also won't admit the same kind of students. The socialist mentality that education should be made free or low cost cannot work in a country with hundreds of millions of people. You want to be treated by a doctor who barely saw a stethoscope during training? Because that's what would happen if the university keeps charging pittance and admitting a lot of students.
U are talking like someone who has already cash out from the system and your family future has already been secured in this same country. What a pity. Assuming u climb a ladder to reach the top of the chain don't other deserve such experience with their family in their lifetime. After all u brought up Harvard. Where is Harvard located ? Is it moon. (jokes). Harvard is in United States. What is the economy and social life in the state. Do we run same system or wage structure or leadership foresight. Gentleman, when God shine his grace on you and alive in this country never despise the poor who have continued to bear the brunt of continuous cycle of bad leadership.

What. A man that earns 30k as a monthly salary does and should never hope to raise kids that will attend university again. Talk of killing hope. At this stage, a Russian type of revolution is coming home closer that may be brutal. The new czars are in town.

Newcastle doesn't have much to build on so the first or second manager will definitely bear the brunt even when they start buying big stars. Though getting sacked would depend on the tolerance level of the new owners, it's still not a good idea to be the very first manager of the revolution. The likelihood of failure is very high, however that's the exact situation that some managers prefer. The pressure will still build up on subsequent managers but they will have a better structure to work on.
u re right. Just like Man City and pSG at the early phase of their rebuilding process. The first set of coaches suffer carrying unnecessary burden of lack of good results to the money bags.
