PoliticsRe: Which Of These Is Nigerians Greatest Dissapointment? by StEdwin(m): 11:48am On Dec 15, 2011
GEJ is not a disappointment!!! If by any chance he's is doing a better job! U don't expect the ills of over 40yrs to be corrected in just 2-3years! I doubt even if buhari was there if things would have changed much!!! Forget sentiments!!! He is going somewhere and I trust that he knows what he's doing!!1
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Will Crash If Fuel Subsidy Stays – GEJ by StEdwin(m): 6:58pm On Nov 20, 2011
Ess:
GEJ, to fellow Nigerians:

"Im the commander of this country but there are some cabals that are really enjoying from this subsidy issue and unfortunately as you all know Im too weak to stop them. So in order to find a lasting solution to them, I suggets we remove it and all the citizens face the wrath while the cabal will now be helpless to enjoy their loot. You see Im strong and not weak at the end of the day. Also since you are all daft and believe in whatever I tell you just because I represent a majority of the oppressed, you will now believe that Nigeria will crash just the way virus crashes a system if this subsidy is not removed"

Beaf, why are you not covering up here, the heat is too much. I beg come to my rescue as usual,

Beaf: Sir, e be like say your own too much now, how u wan make I cover this your foolishness? Anyways, I know I have a few dumb asses in this forum that will suck me no matter what, make i try.

Watch out for Beaf coming to you soooon.

Dj Tee produces nyce videos. Akin Alabi is good too. Jude Okoye has a good track record but in terms of creativity, concept, scene shots and uniqueness, I'll give it to Clarence Peters. The guy has got the stuff. He's gr8t. Check out 2face's only me, Goldie ft. Eldee-U know it, just to mention a few.

PoliticsRe: Acting President Goodluck Jonathan And His Too Many Grammatical Errors by StEdwin(m): 5:07pm On Apr 18, 2010
All of you who're making excuses for Jonathan should stop such rubbish. Is english language not our lingua franca? Was Jonathan's schooling in his local dialect or english? It's people like you who are corrupting the Nigerian educational system, making students feel that english is unimportant because it's not their local dialect: which is why a review of english results are enough to bring a man to tears. If a person has been taught in english all his life, and can't still speak it till now, then it's failure and we all should be ashamed of it.
About the polish president: english isn't his official language so he's escused.

@Poster,
The only thing I feel I can do as a patriotic citizen is to put the country in my prayers and ask God to provide us with leaders who are sensible enough, who will not forget that the electorate put them in power!
I  sincerely do pray for the best of God's blessings and his mercies to be on our country! HAPPY EASTER NLers!!!
PoliticsRe: Senate Approves President's Cabinet Nominees by StEdwin(m): 3:01pm On Apr 01, 2010
Now Jonathan has no excuse what so ever to fail. The senate has done its best. From now till elections next year, I hope we'll be seeing giant strides in the economy and not a lull in activities. His name has already been written in the books of history and whatever he does within this one year will determine if Nigerians were right to have requested for him to be made Acting President. His Presidential advisory councill has alot of work to do if he intends to hold their suggestions and opinions in high regard. All the same, I want the best for him and I gladly hope he's the right man to take Nigeria towards actualization of the VISION 2020 dream. I rest my case.
CelebritiesGenevieve Nnaji Hosts As 10 Celebs Battle For The 7 Million Naira Guscelebrity by StEdwin(op): 11:01am On Mar 29, 2010
The reality show, Gulder Ultimate Search has enjoyed a successful run for the last few years. In an ingenious twist, the new season of the show features a new focus – Celebrities!

•Funke Akindele
•Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha
•Emeka Ike
•Muma Gee
•Daddy Showkey
•Bob Manuel Udokwu
•Obesere
•Princess
•Dare Art Alade
•Weird MC
The 10 celebrities have been sent to the ‘jungle’ (In reality, the show is actually based at the La Champagne Tropicana Resort) to battle it out for the prize. Last week, we were introduced to the show and last night, we enjoyed the first ‘real’ episode.

This is no cake walk! The celebrities were put through some tasks and finally had to fend for themselves by assembling their own tents and making their food on a makeshift firewood stove. Based on this episode, the season is definitely going to be an interesting ride. The male contestants seem to be getting along and Bob Manuel seems to have taken a natural leadership position. Things are not as rosy with the women as there was constant bickering between the female contestants and musician, Muma Gee.

We’ll have to keep watching to see what happens next. Let us know what you think and who is your favourite celebrity so far.

Tippy Top:
That is my point. A leader is as good as the followers.

Nigerians are not ready for change, but I am not sure you understand that little point.

Let us not derail this thread. Create a new thread and we can discuss this further.

Was it the followers (Lagosians) who made Gov Fashola achieve so much in so little time. Why do you come across as drunk? Are you an alcoholic?

Hence my point, imagine what it would be like when you don't have to work the streets and living among your people>>>>>Blisss!!!!

I didn't know it would touch a raw nerve, epkele.
Dude, u aint making sense one bit!!! U are just incoherent!

I'm not from Anambra neither a banker but I think lets be objective about this for once and not be sentimental.
Soludo did his best, Sanusi is in charge now. Lets' see how things will take shape and not point accusing fingers.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Soludo Caused The Massive Bank Layoffs by StEdwin(m): 3:30pm On Dec 23, 2009
Well, One thing about this discussion is that Those blaming soludo for the banking woes are those who were once bank workers and have lost their jobs or are related in one way or the other to sacked bank workers on the other hand those in support of soludo are Anambrians who believe that their salvation lies in Soludo hands.

Let's analyse this properly, when the going was good for those in the banking sector, no one said a thing or made a comment about Soludo's ineffectiveness. Being a bank worker was like an equivalent of working in an oil company but now it seems things have fallen apart.

I urge Nairalanders to pray for the country at this moment cos the politians u guys are exalting or critising have deaf ears. Only God can heal them and forgive them of their faults.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
PoliticsRe: Ecowas Leaders To Replace Yar’adua As Chairman by StEdwin(m): 2:37pm On Dec 22, 2009
yaf1423:
My point has been completely understood out of the context in which it is expressed. The good work mr president is doing does not preclude among other things the ills still plaguing this country. In his own right he has been dexteriously up to the task but only dat the sickness has really hampered quite a lot of things deserving achievement. Never in this country has someone used the kind of technique in solving niger delta arms struggle. We know dat certain lapses still exist and such can't be unplugged overnight. The idea that he has not done anyting should be jettisoned even obj did what he could only dat complacency was his problem.

FOR YARADUA HE IS TRYING HIS BEST and i see no reason why he should resign now since he is recuperating.
Where do you live cos it seems you don't even know what is happening in Nigeria or around you?

EducationYar'adua: Burden Of University Funding, Too Much On Fg by StEdwin(op): 10:41am On Nov 26, 2009
Speaking at the 8th Convocation Ceremony of Nnamdi Azikiwe Universities (UNIZIK), Awka on Saturday, Yar’Adua expressed fears that the Federal Government alone would not be able meet all the funding requirements of the nation’s educational sector.

The president, who was represented by Minister of Education, Dr Sam Egwu, noted that no nation could achieve greatness without quality leadership at the political, economic and its intellectual levels.
Although, he observed that the burden of providing quality leadership imposed enormous challenges and responsibilities on universities, he stressed that the progress of the country would depend largely on the outputs of the universities.
He urged managements of tertiary institutions to embark on public-private partnership and commended the management of UNIZIK, Awka, for taking the initiatives in providing major infrastructural development in the institution.
