But for the sake of clarity, I would ask please.

What level of education are you applying for the T4 visa for?
Is it Secondary? College, First Degree or a Masters degree?

I think you may need to clarify on that so that you can receive better advise.

She has been my guardian since secondary school level but was made a legal guardian this month

I have paid my full tuition fees. Please read through the UKVI document page 71 to 73

Also my legal guardian is currently on vacation inNigeria because of the UKVI required documents. Although it is a long and tedious process

Your next research should be find out EXACTLY what the UKVI men when they mention “LEGAL GUARDIAN”.

Have you cared to find out ALL the documents that you will need to proof that someone is your LEGAL guardian?

Yes, The legal guardian means an original court document with notary public and contact details of the notary public, it is not just an affidavit o. My school requested for the legal document and I have sent to them. Other details required from the legal guardians are on page 72 of 109 UKVI, subsection 293 and 294.

Did she just conveniently become your guardian weeks or months to your application when you've obviously gone over the age limit required for guardianship or adoption? Or was this document obtained while you were within the age limit required?
The UKVI can spot a document that was generated for the sole purpose of bypassing the rules and it wouldn't be nice to get a refusal and a ban due to misrepresentation.

Thanks a lot for your response brother. I actually took few days to go through the UKVI requirements and I was able to get some solid fact. A family member can sponsor you but it must be legally backed up as your legal guardian. A British legal guardian doesn't need that huge amount of pounds to show for the embassy as proof of maintenance, the only thing that's needed is just £570 pounds for 9 months and for a period of 28 days. After reading through the whole tier 4 UKVI documents, I contacted my school in London and expressed the situation to them, I even quoted the pages for them to read on UKVI for tier 4, they agreed to reduce my living expenses from 11,385pounds to 5130 pounds in London but requested for some documents to back up my claim. Please read through page 71 to 73 of that UKVI guidelines for tier 4.

Thank you for your response sir. My Aunt want to ask act as my legal guardoan and we have obtained a court affidavit to back it up as my legal guardian. She has also written a letter to give me permission to her fund during my period of studies.

You cannot use her statement as she's neither your mother nor your legal guardian. She'll have to transfer the money to you for the 28 day count.

when I tried convincing her she said , She acted like a legal sponsor for two of my cousins like 8 years ago with the same procedure but not my own 28 days count

Good day to you all. I got admitted to University of the West of Scotland. My mum sister is my sponsor and she is a permanent resident in UK. I am about applying for visa but she asked me to submit her documents and UK bank statement to UKVI. She has secured an accomodation for me outside campus. But I dont know if it is a red flag for me to submit her documents as my legal sponsor. Must the money be in her account for 28 days?

I haven't the faintest idea of how to start...this thread is seriously long indulge me please, reading all tru will drive us bonkers....he hasn't done a single thing...cos the scholarship came as a miracle...his mind wasn't even there anymore cos the official notification period was supposed to be June 16. Only for him to be notified today
