Your best bet is to rent a temporary apartment in Dublin or environment to observe ur 14 days mandatory isolation. Then after that u can proceed to Limerick. If you get a flight to Shannon, you will pay heavily for it and it may have multiple stops
On this issue, i am going to University College Cork. would the people at the point of entry allow me to quarantine myself in Dublin instead of cork?

2) How did you transport yourself to the place you quarantined yourself? Which is a cheaper means.

Once you book your flight for travel, you will go online and search of Covid-19 locator form for Ireland and the link will pop up. Fill it with your passport and flight details and they will email you a confirmation. That confirmation is very important, you need it to board the flight here and at ur transit point.

I booked my GNIB appointment by email, I will register on 2nd November
Thanks. The place you stayed for 2 weeks, where you allowed to cook in there?

How did you feed for Two weeks since you are not allowed to go out ?

You can buy a Sim card at the Airport in Dublin. Like me I only saw Vodafone sim that day and I needed to make a voice call to who was picking us up. The Vodafone sim costs €25 and will come with 20GB data and 100 minutes local call free within Ireland. When u enter town you can get cheaper networks as cheap a €10-15.

At the Airport, I wasnt asked much questions, I was traveling in company of my 3 kids, I already arranged a plethora of documents in anticipation. The immigration guy just asked me what documents to prove my wife is in Ireland legally. I brought out a copy her critical skills work permit, containing her personal information and workplace information as well as employment permit information. Then I carefully penned down her GNIB number, PPS number and address below the documents. The guy just looked at it and gave it back to me immediately. I was like are u done with it he said yes, he asked for completed locator form confirmation email.
That was it, he stamped my children's passports with a single stamp and marked the entry visas as used. He then stamped my passport with 2 stamps with the second big one stating that I should register with GNIB if I am staying more than 3 months from the date of entry and canceled the visa out as used too. Everything happened in less than 2 mins.

So for study visa, I don't know what u will be presenting but others will answer you. Just maintain your composure and confidence. The day we arrived some 5 people were refused entry into Ireland. Make sure u have the documents handy and not in your checked in luggage.
How do i get the complete location form confirmation email . 2) How did you register for you GNIB is it by paper or online? What were you given to register for it?

please can you share document submitted and time lime to help others thanks

I submitted my documents on the 26th of August and saw my approval on the 6th of September.

1)I submitted the printed form online that contains your visa application number started with 4 and ending with 2. It is eight digit number.
2)I submitted a questionnaire you can get a copy from the visa office. When i printed it online there was something not complete that those working in the visa office pointed out to me. So you can as well get it from VFS, from those photocopying inside the office.
3)My passport
4)My admission letter into the school
5)My school fees payed in full
6)Education bond of 7000 Euros
Electronic transfer for the school fees and Education bond to know the Beneficiary and the sponsor (the person who paid it)
7) Health insurance
My educational background starting from my WAEC, Degree, Transcript, NYSC. I covered the gap between the period i
finished my NYSC till date.
(the company you are using to cover up i think should have a website).
9) Everything about my sponsor
a) His Sponsorship letter,
b)Employment letter,
c)Wife's employment letter( because he has kids just to make them know the kids would be fine)
d) Details bank statements (2 including his savings account)
e) His Permanent residency permit. because he is based overseas in the United states.
d)My statement of account(working in my fathers establishment)
e)Details that i am going to take over the company when i come back signed by the MD My Dad
f) Internship letter, Internship certificate, work employment letter
g)Documents for the house my father bequeathed to me. His Will, deed of gift, deed of acceptance.
h) Rejection letters from any country

Then 2 colour photocopies of each

I wish you the best.

In-case i remember anything else, i would add.

This is really helpful, I was trying to get network 3 SIM card today at their store opposite Stephen mall, the data plan is 10gb per month and unlimited calls and text messages. I was given a 50% discount, I was asked to pay 10 euros. Unfortunately they didn't accept cash payment and my dollar card isn't working. What can you say about 3 mobile network and where do they accept cash payment for buying of SIM card.

Thanks for your write up. When i arrive at the airport, before i can come out of my two weeks quarantine to get a sim card, how can i communicate?

I am about to get a new phone today, will the sim card over there fit in with the space for sim card we have in phones from Nigeria? Or should i just wait and get a phone there with the right sim?Chiggsglover

My visa has been approved. I give glory to God almighty who has done this for me. May his name be praised from generations to generations. My story is a long one, but i wouldn't go that far. This is not the first time i have applied for a visa outside but was denied. I also thank our blessed mother Mary for her powerful intercession and the Angels of the living God for their assistance.

My family for their support, My brothers, My parents. Not forgetting friends who supported me, friends whom i made in this journey.
I thank ICaSNg so so much. I can ask questions for Africa , disturbed her but she was always willing to answer me. I specially thank Gladiators 01 , he was my Angel when i needed help the most, it was so difficult to book for an appointment, he booked with his money not minding the fact we had not met. God bless him plenty.
Special thanks to DammyDrust ,Slimdolyin, Dweeb5 , Expressbooking and Daniel. To those i didn't mention thank you. God bless everyone who has given help to people in this forum in one way or the other.

For those still waiting for their visa to be approved, grace will speak for you.

Thank you and see you all in Ireland.

Good morning house, i was sent an email by the embassy that the accommodation i booked doesn't conform to the covid19 rules and regulations. i booked a bed in 6 bed female dormitory room. What do they mean by doesn't conform to the covid19 rules? Is it that they do not want a shared apartment at all , they want someone to stay alone? Staying alone is expense and we cannot really afford that right now. Please help!

I don’t know if it has to be paid in Naira but I faced the same issue while attempting it with different Nigerian debit cards. It kept on telling me the same thing it told your bro until I used another computer, the problem is probably not the card but the computer or phone he is using. However, you need to use your personal card at VFS.

You don’t need to wait for 24 hours though there’s a way around it. Hope it helps!
It still refused taking payment.
please, what is the way around it? I really need to book an appointment.

Good afternoon house, My brother in the US who happens to be my sponsor tried booking an appointment yesterday for me using his credit card but they sent on my mail that my appointment has been declined due to payment failure. That I would not be able to resechdule a fresh appointment up to 24hours.

Is that that the appointment fee must be paid in Nigeria naira? What should I do now?

On the home page, fill in the details you are asked for; First name, last name, country of origin, cover start date.....etc. Once done, click on get a quote and thereafter go and check your email, I think!

When you open the link, pick the cover option you want, between €120-€150, should suffice!
Okay
