DammyDurst: Hi Steph, have you heard about management information systems? You can look this up online. You wouldn't be needing deep knowledge of programming, databases, etc. Basically, you're being trained to manage people with the aforementioned skills (depending on the course module). Usually, schools might want a prior knowledge of any computing skill you might possess and some wouldn't care about that. So you need to watch out for that disclaimer while applying by going through the requirement details. However, you could learn to brush up your Excel prior to getting admitted. I finished from Engineering and I'm considering either this or business analytics. In the long run dear, you actually need to have a good flare for technology and be willing to give your all as these courses (Information systems and business analytics) are rigorous. I hope that helped. Yes it helped. Thank you so much. I would research more on it . |

Chiggsglover: You're welcome, Data Analytics relies solely on computer software to work on data. Business Analytics will be the best for, in this course, it demands your knowledge in management. I feel that you won't rely heavily on computer way a Data Analyst will do. All that is left is some research on what it entails, My course even need me to have idea in python, which is more demanding IT wise, I'm Sharpening my skills in Excel for now. Okay, thanks once again. i wish you the very best. i am glad Business Analytics has less of IT in it . |

Medical insurance is covered by organizations. Its not too expensive, at most 150 euros, tho it's a requirement to apply for visa.
Social science courses aren't that lucrative and may not guarantee you a job. I studied Economics, due to my background in Econometrics and analysis, I went for Data Analytics. You need to add an IT course to your CV to be guaranteed a job, if you don't like the country, you can apply to the US, UK and live n work there. Canada won't work cos they value only their certificate. Thank you so much Chiggsglover for your prompt response. I studied economics as you but i am not good in IT. I am considering going for the course Business Analytics but i do not know how much of IT is in it. Do you mean if one does not get a suitable job after the expiration of work visa in Ireland one can apply for a job in US or UK ? |

BlueManKing: Thanks guys for the content shared on this thread. Really helpful.
Please I'll like to find out two things;
1. When traveling with a student visa, does one require a return ticket to get past the immigration desk in Ireland?
2. Is anyone here going to University of Limerick this September? If so, let's link up. I am going to the University of limerick this September. What is your cause of study? |

Stephanie22: Good morning everyone, this is my first time writing here. I want to ask a couple of questions. I am presently thinking of schooling in Ireland and I found the University of Limerick to study FINANCIAL SERVICES for my masters degree.
I am a social science student and I want to know if the course I choose is among the courses on the critical skilled list that will get permanent residency after graduation and the 2years work experience. Or is it just IT courses
I also want to know 1) Courses in social sciences I can study that is in the critical skills list.
2)The opportunities to get a partime job in Limerick
3) Opportunities to get a job in my discipline in Limerick after graduation.
4) if IELTS or any English proficiency exam is compulsory for Ireland's visa interview. Thank you very much house as I await responses. God bless you all. I need someone to put me through please. No one has said anything since morning. |

StacieG: Depending on the school, you need 2 or 3 references,2 of them must be an academia with their school email address and not personal email ads. It’s very very important . Thank you so much for your quick response. God bless. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Stephanie22: 12:55am On Jan 12, 2019 |
In the course of applying to a school, it was indicated my referee's email address should have the schools name on it e.g kemibright@esuth com.
My lectures gave me their personal email address? Could it lesson my chances in getting an admission into the school I am applying for? As the school mentioned it again when I called them.
Those who are schooling already please, I also need your suggestions. God bless |

My dear please take heart. If you are a Catholic you will understand what i am about to say. what came to my mind was what Jesus said at the station of the cross it says " everybody you know will die one day and grieve will come to you, you yourself will die one day a day you don't know are you prepared for it". |

DouglasHoc: Good day house. In my opinion, I can't say whether the interview went well or not. This interview seems to me to be the most difficult interview to ace. You will spend between 3-10 with the panel. The implication is that they will see a snap shot of your person without you knowing it. It is therefore important for you to relax and be yourself. Like I always say, if your best is good enough, you will get there and if not we move on. Most people will come out thinking they have aced the interview whereas the panelist have screened you out. All in all everybody will not be successful, and I want to congratulate the people who will eventually be successful hopefully I will be among them. Put your best into whatever you are doing now cos you never know Where was your interview? |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by Stephanie22: 2:03pm On Dec 04, 2017 |
Wizgrandpa: I applied for public affairs, though some people attested that they didn't get questions relating to their fields. But then nobody complained about getting any tough questions and even the panel guys are quite nice and professional(speaking for myself). Last last may the odds be in our favor how many people are in the panel and how long did your interview last. |
