*I was at ICT office today in main Campus, The ICT Director made me understood that, All Post UTME candidates who did change of institution are unable to register for the Post UTME Examination because JAMB have not sent their DATA to school for Approval*

*He further said that, they are only attending to candidates who fill AAU as First Choice of Institution for now*
*If you fill AAU as second choice you will be unable to register for your post UTME examination*
.
*When I asked him when those who did change of institution will be able to register for the Post UTME Examination, he said he does not know yet until JAMB send their Data to school*
.
*He also made it clear that, the problem is not from the school (AAU) but from JAMB who are yet to send the Data of those that did change of institution*

*In the light of the above message, all affected candidates should bear with JAMB and remain patient until JAMB send their data to school, I believe you will continue your application afterwards*

*It will interest you to know that, as at yesterday, Monday 21st August 2017... Most of the students on campus and off campus were all traveling home due to ASUU strike*

*The popular Big Joe Park was crowded with* *students traveling, students were dragging and pushing just to enter Bus due to scarcity of bus at Big Joe park*

*Osaremen park in front of School gate was also crowded with students traveling to Delta, Warri etc Auchi bus stop in front of NNPC close to school gate was not left out*

*The ever busy poultry road at Ujemen is scanty due to less number of students still in Ekpoma*

*It will interest you to know that, ASUU on Aug. 14, embarked on an indefinite strike to press home its demands for the implementation of an agreement signed between it and the Federal Government on condition of service.*

*ASUU is also asking for increased funding of university, autonomy of the institution and academic freedom.*

*A meeting between the union and the Nigerian government last Thursday ended in a deadlock.*
*But an optimistic Adamu Adamu, the Education Minister, said the strike could be called off within one week.*

*I want to beg all students to mind where they get their information from and the kind of information they spread online, some people come online just to post 2009 or 2013 ASUU news just to make fun out of the situation at hand. I notice almost everybody is now news broadcaster, posting fake news to confuse their fellow students who are anxious to know the latest news as regard the strike. *​The end to the ongoing strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) seems not to be in sight as the meeting between the Nigerian government and the union has hit the rocks.*

*During the meeting, which held on Thursday, the Federal Government promised to fulfill some of the conditions being demanded by the Academic Staff Union of Universities in an attempt to end the strike by the union.*

*Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige, who convened the meeting with the union leaders, said the government would meet certain conditions.*
*It was gathered that the ASUU leaders who attended the parley did not agree to call off the strike.*

*The ASUU President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi who led the executive members of the union to the meeting said he needed to brief other members of the union.*

*Permit me to start with my sincere appreciation to every single student of Ambrose Alli University, from main campus to College Of Medicine and Emaudo campus. I have been shaped and reshaped by love, correction and advise of AAUITES, I've learnt from various groups that constitutes the members of this academic community*

*SUG director of information is the voice of the students to management to school management and school management to the students*

*The office of the director of information is an office provided to direct every information that has been released from the School Management to the students and to also stand as an intermediary between the students and managements*

*The SUG Director of information is responsible for the publicity of all Union Activities*

*What I will do as SUG Director Of Information if elected*

*I notice that the school management are very far from the students in terms of information because of that I will try my best to bring the school management closer to the students*

*Like all you know, the dissemination of information is not restricted to main campus alone, college of medicine and Emaudo campus are part and parcel of AAU community. I will try my best to ensure I renovate the notice board and also placed new ones at Emaudo and College Of Medicine where news bulletin will be pasted*

*And also, there will be an early dissemination of information and I will curb false information to it's barest minimum*

*By his grace, if elected as SUG Director Of Information, I will do my best to make sure notice board are placed across school hostels where news bulletin will be pasted because it is not every student that have the time to visit the school notice board as a matter of fact, not every student knows where the school notice board is located in school*

*For the first time SUG will have weekly News Bulletin where weekly SUG news and Union activities will be published and for the first time SUG will have a noticeboard at the SUG secretariat*
