Having a great product or good prices does not excuse stinking service. In fact, I have seen excellent service cover-up for boring products. https://www.doingbusinessafrica.com/post/go-a-little-further-service-extraordinaire-part-1 With this in mind, I would like to share with you, a number of tips, which I have practised over the years. Tip 1. SPEED MATTERS. I once went to collect my passport photographs from a nearby photo studio. The vehicle, which I had picked at the local car park was waiting for me, so I asked the guy behind the counter to please hurry up so that I wouldn’t have to ‘pay through my nose’ for my fare home. The more I seemed impatient and in a hurry, the more the attendant ‘took his time’. Needless to say, I decided to find another photo studio for my next set of passport photographs. Many people make excuses such as, “this is Nigeria”. The truth is that this is Nigeria and Nigeria is changing. Old business habits will have to be broken. This country can no longer afford to have people dragging their feet all day long and doing two-hour jobs in ten hours. Slothfulness is destructive because it is wasteful. Time is more precious than money. Your next big break is just one contact away Your next big break is just one contact away Make your contacts count, get Stephanie Pius’ Successful Networking - One way to be efficient with your time is to have your work organized so that you will always know where everything is kept. Computerization also aids organization. Invest as much as possible in Information Technology. One major lesson that I learnt from living and working abroad is that organizing yourself is an investment that will yield great dividends. Europeans can spend 90% of their time on planning and organization and just 10% of their time on implementation. When action is taken, it is taken with the utmost precision. - Buy the right equipment and systems. Re-invest your business proceeds in your work so that you will have the right tools to work with. The right tools will help you work faster. I have seen too many businesses where the business owner spends most of the proceeds from the business on travelling abroad and acquiring real estate while their staff struggle to work efficiently at their cash-cow business. - Invest in staff training and development. It is a pity that not enough business owners understand the value of well-trained staff: (What if we train our staff and they leave? What if we don’t and they stay?) - Where you can make a phone call, do not make a trip. Thank God for WhatsApp video, MS Teams, Skype, and a number of other applications for virtual meetings. When you can send an e-mail, do not write a letter. Save the trees. - Kill procrastination or it will kill your business. Whatever can be done in 10 minutes or less, get it done immediately. Do not fill your to-do list with menial tasks. - Use spare time to do spare things. Do not waste spare time. Use it to plan, correspond, clean your environment, read, organize your work, whatever. Do not use the business time to read books. Organization of time for a specific purpose is a form of discipline. https://www.doingbusinessafrica.com/post/go-a-little-further-service-extraordinaire-part-1 |

https://www.doingbusinessafrica.com/post/did-covid-19-quarantine-sanitize-your-life Did Quarantine Sanitize Your Life? The quarantine periods of the past several weeks have been a God-sent opportunity for some executives to get some rest and reflect on their busy lives. For some, it has been a nerve-racking period of worrying about job security, pay cuts, and business shortfalls due to the lack of sales. Whatever the lockdown must have represented to you, I would like to share with you some of my experience of an extremely busy life of working in the corporate sector while juggling a full-scale home-front. During my first years as a staff in the banking industry, I worked in a department that consisted of fifty-five women. About seventy per cent of these women were married and some had children. Having children meant that they also had nannies or other domestic staff who helped with the home front. These women seemed to come to work with consistent complaints about their domestic staff. Some days, they even had to take a day or two off work to sort out issues on their domestic front. Based on the frequency of problems that they seemed to face on the domestic front, I assumed that perhaps they were not very good at managing their domestic staff and that the problems arose as a result of their poor relationships with their domestic workers. Then I got married, had children and I needed domestic staff. After six years of hiring and firing various domestic staff, I came to the conclusion that the domestic staff terrain is rather complicated. In the past six years, I have used my experience from the previous six years to change my experience of domestic staffs. I have also used my experience to practice putting my person first no matter the level of stress, pressure or hostility in the workplace. In the next few articles, I will be sharing some of my experiences, tips and advice with you in the hope that you will be able to avoid some of the pitfalls that hampered me in the early years of my learning to manage my personal life and domestic front along with a fulltime career. Practice You First During some of the most hectic days of my working in the corporate sector, I came to the realization that a lot of high-flying corporate individuals tend to think they are superman or superwoman. They ignore important health signals wishing it would eventually go away. They become so timid and intimidated by their boss that they put themselves into various kinds of danger in a bid to please the boss, meet a deadline, or keep up with the workload. In the drive to meet and exceed expectations, they often exceed their personal physical limits and as I have seen on many occasions, they meet with sudden tragedies. This becomes even more prevalent in an environment where the job market is extremely competitive, workplace culture is somewhat hostile, and the societal norm is to keep up with the Jones’. It takes a drastic incident for many workers to come to the sudden realization that being able to stay alive is more important than the next promotion, or that their employers can definitely go on without them. Employees have had road accidents while returning late in the night due to falling asleep on the wheel. Others have ignored life-threatening symptoms until it was too late, while others have seen their marriages become history as a result of running after the next promotion. These issues are even more prevalent in the Financial Services industry. There was a time when it became the norm for employees to slump in the office, have a heart attack when they got home, or even go insane while at work. The level of pressure exerted on corporate employees in Nigeria is something that should be closely looked at and employers need to be able to see the big picture and implement workplace culture that reflects some level of human empathy. Always remember that you need to stay alive in order to do the job. So do the following: Read more at https://www.doingbusinessafrica.com/post/did-covid-19-quarantine-sanitize-your-life

1999: I had just graduated from a university in the UK with my first degree, I then got a job at a departmental store on Piccadilly. Life was looking good. Years of having worked as a customer service officer in the retail industry while I was a student seemed to have paid off. However, a problem that I had started experiencing when I was in my teens resurfaced and came back to haunt me. https://stephaniepius.wixsite.com/johns/post/finding-god-for-me As a teenager, I had sometimes suffered from severe depression. I was also seriously influenced by my environment. Eventually, I started smoking cigarettes. I remember the last night I went to the Hippodrome Night Club at Leicester Square. I suddenly got up, left my friends, went to the cloakroom and got my winter coat and went home. At 11 PM. If you have ever been a night clubbing enthusiast, you will know that is weird. It suddenly was not doing it for me anymore. There are so many people trying to manufacture joy when God has already provided for true joy. For some reason that I could not fathom, I felt like I was in a hopeless downward spiral. The depression was tangible. I felt worthless, my life did not seem to have any clear direction, and I felt very lonely. I was far away from my family. I had grown up in a very close-knit family setting and not having them around was difficult. Follow me on Instagram to get inspiration and ask any questions you may have. I was working at the world's oldest and possibly most prestigious store as customer service personnel. I had just graduated from university and I was not searching for a job. I had accommodation, and the job was totally stress-free with lots of nice benefits. However, the deep emptiness and worthlessness within me were tangible. I had started smoking three years before. I had tried quitting a few times but it was so difficult and each time I tried, I would give up. I felt like I was just floating into a future with no concrete idea of what I would do with my life. https://stephaniepius.wixsite.com/johns/post/covid-19-sos Then I remembered that my mother, Mrs Rose Isip (who was still alive at the time), had taught me that if I could just get God on the scene, everything would be fine. I decided to find God by all means. I only knew one way to look for God, and that was to embark on a period of fasting and prayer. I didn't know much else, but I made up my mind to find God and connect with Him so everything would be ok. Growing up, my Bible heroes had been Esther and Daniel. I had read these books perhaps a few times and I truly admired these two Bible characters. They always appeared so invincible, so in-charge, and t seemed like they had everything going for them. They always rose above the circumstances of life and harassment from others. https://www.doingbusinessafrica.com/post/did-covid-19-quarantine-sanitize-your-life I decided to fast for 10 days. I wanted to be like Esther and Daniel. Close to God, talking with God and able to have extraordinary outcomes from God. I decided to go on a 10-day fast. I had never fasted that long before so I was very sure that God would definitely show up if I fasted for ten days. I don't really know what form or shape I expected God to show up in my life, but I did believe He would show up. However, Jesus found me first. About a week before I was supposed to start the 10-day fast, I happened to sit next to a Singaporean lady at Kensington Temple. She invited me to her home-cell fellowship which I turned up for the following Thursday. I had never seen people worship God so deeply as the Asians in that room did that evening. Later on, a Jamaican pastor from our church, whom I had never seen prior, stopped by to speak to them. During the course of the evening, he called me out and prophesied into my life. I broke down in tears. At the time, I did not even know why I was weeping, but I wept profusely. I had given my life to Christ at the age of twelve or so and I had received the Holy Spirit in my early teens. I woke up the next morning a non-smoker. My life was completely transformed. An enormous fire was deposited within me and I desired God very deeply. Evangelism and prayer became a lifestyle. I am currently believing God to go back to when I was so much on fire for Him. My thirst for the word of God was unquenchable. That thirst has never left me. However, I would like to be super bold again in reaching out to others for Jesus. I have made a move towards restoring my prayer life by forming prayer partnerships and joining prayer groups. I desire such an encounter for you today. I want you to encounter the raw power of God. I want you to experience raw grace. Grace gives you things you did not work or pay for. Jesus paid for your salvation. He paid for it with His own blood. His body was battered for you. His blood was shed for you. With God, faith is the language that you need to learn. For you to be saved, you need to believe that you are saved even though you never saw Mary have the immaculate conception or Jesus resurrect from the tomb. You get saved by believing that Jesus is indeed the Son of God and that the accounts written in the Bible are true. Of course, you can also search historical facts and records to know if Jesus actually existed. But you will find out that the best accounts come from the Bible. The Holy Bible was written by 40 writers over a period of 1500 Years. The birth, life and death of Jesus Christ was the fulfilment of a long list of prophecies as written in the Hebrew Old Testament. See the list of prophecies at the end of this text. It breaks my heart that many people are attending church and yet are carried away by materialism, various delusions, deceptions and distractions. God is so much bigger than our needs. So so much bigger. Once when I was facing serious financial issues that involved my house rent, I asked myself that if I came face to face with God, would I be talking to God about my rent? Is that what I would be talking to the Master of the Universe about? If you saw God face to face, what would you say to Him today? Just thinks about it, what would you say to the Possessor of Heaven and Earth? You know what? He is with you right there right now, face to face. Tell Him you want to know Him. Tell Him you want a fresh encounter with Him. You will be surprised how fast He will answer that prayer. Very very fast. John said in the book of 1st John 2 verse 14: "I write to you, dear children because you know the Father." Are you saved? Have you given your life to Jesus? I am not asking you whether you have committed sin since you woke up this morning. Neither am I asking you if you would like to be a better Christian or if you feel righteous? I am not asking you if you believe you are a good person. I am asking: Are you saved? Have you given your life to Jesus? I am simply asking you: Have you made a decision to make Jesus Lord in your life? Will you accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour today? You cannot save yourself. Your good works cannot save you. Your pastor can't save you. Your church attendance record can't save you. Your church service and level of commitment at church can't save you. How much money you have given to the church cannot save you. Only Jesus saves. Only having a personal relationship with Jesus saves. Jesus did not die in vain for you. His blood was not shed in vain for you. Jesus loves you. The Father loves you so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus the Christ, to come and die for you. He died a very terrible death so that you will not have to pay for your own sins. He was spat on and ridiculed so as to deliver you from shame and condemnation. He was given 39 strokes and a lot more, His body was battered so that you can walk in divine health and have access to miraculous healing from God. Jesus was ganged up against by men and they conspired against Him and He became a victim of the evil plots of men so that you can walk in dominion and victory above every gang-up of men against your life and destiny. Have you made a public confession for the LORD Jesus to come into your life, forgive you your sin, and be your LORD and Saviour? My name is Stephanie Pius and I am a radio presenter. If you have given your life to Jesus, I would like to mentor you. I just love winning souls, so kindly send me an SMS and I will reach out to you. There are so many persons who attend church and yet they don't understand the thin small line that separates life from death or Heaven from Hell. That thin small line that separates life from death is called the breath of man. And that thin small line that separates man from Heaven or Hell is called salvation. Make a decision to make Jesus your LORD and Saviour today. It only takes a few minutes, now pray with me: Dear God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Thank You for saving me! In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen. https://stephaniepius.wixsite.com/johns/post/finding-god-for-me If you prayed this prayer for the first time, I would like to know. Please send me an email at goingborderless@gmail.com to share your testimony with me today. God bless you and preserve you for His heavenly kingdom in Jesus name, amen. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkH79mi63a4 I am a mother of three boys aged 11, 10 and 7 and I have not taken my family or myself for any medical intervention since 2014. My youngest child was 15 months old when I last went with the children to the hospital. I am writing this in April 2020 following the onset of the COVID -19 crisis in my country and in many other countries around the world. I remember some several months ago, my first son had an ear problem that he kept complaining about for weeks. Prior to that, I had listened to Kenneth E. Hagin speaking about how his 15-year-old son (Kenneth W. Hagin) had had an ear infection and received healing after he received instruction from God to tell his son to confess his own healing and act on his own faith. I drew understanding from this testimony and I asked my 10-year-old at the time to pray for his healing, confess his healing, and thank God for his healing. He never complained about the ear problem again from that day on and we never had to go to the hospital. Months before this illness showed up, I had given my son a copy of David Oyedepo’s Healing Balm to read. This is one of the most powerful books on healing. You can get a PDF on healing from the same source here. In another instance, my second son had lumps in his jaws that according to what was happening in the environment we lived in, we needed to take him to a particular hospital to get him operated on. However, I decided to stand on the word of God and believe God for his healing. I placed my hand on his jaw and cursed the lumps, then I kept: confessing the word, thanking God for His word and I think I administered communion to him (I can’t remember so clearly now but normally I would have.) Weeks later, we discovered that the lumps were no longer there. However, a business partner told me about a hospital that had several children with the same condition who were waiting to be operated upon. Healing is real because the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is real. My three sons once had some strange boils and rashes on their hands, stomach and feet that looked very alarming. The LORD instructed me to give them daily communion. I also used calamine lotion and some local medicine mixed in the lotion and within days we began to see changes and eventually the boils and rashes dried up and their skin began to heal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkH79mi63a4 |

I believe in divine healing but I also believe that divine and supernatural health is the right of the believer. Being a Christian is being a citizen of God’s kingdom. Being a citizen comes with rights and privileges. If you would like God to be your father right now, find out how to do so here. In Matthew 8 verses 1 to 4, Jesus is approached by a leper and the leper says to Jesus: “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.” Jesus responds: “I will; be clean.” God is more willing to give you healing than you can imagine. Why? Because He already paid the price for your healing when Jesus Christ received the thirty-nine stripes plus one and then died on the cross of Calvary thousands of years ago. I believe in divine healing but I also believe that divine and supernatural health is the right of the believer. Being a Christian is being a citizen of God’s kingdom. Being a citizen comes with rights and privileges. These privileges include health, wealth, wholeness, righteousness, joy, and peace. In this blog post, I will focus on health.
