I mean they are just bent on seeing this country not progress. I have never seen anybody like them.

I write this article with deep sorrow in my heart to witness a movement that was meticulously nurtured by intellectuals now being overrun by extremists, fascists, and engulfed in profound hate and tribalism.

I would say I used to be a staunch supporter and mobilizer in the Obidient movement, advocating for Obi to become President because of some of the policies he put forward during the campaign. We watched and nurtured the Obidient movement as it grew into what it was before the election. At the time when we were pushing for support for Obi, many of his tribespeople were still contemplating if they would support Atiku, but all of a sudden, the movement was hijacked, and has deteriorated, filled with bitterness. As an Obidient supporter, you are now either gaslighted or coerced to follow the herd, this is leading to the downfall of the movement.

The election has come and gone, and Obi couldn’t prove his case in court. We should move on and build support for him come 2027, but no, the extremists are bent on seeing evil befall this country. They are agents of fake news and lies, rejoicing in the country's failures. These extremists went as far as dedicating days to praying death and hell on their fellow Nigerians just because the result didn’t go their way.

For a moment, I thought that even if Obi had won, his tenure would have been disastrous because he would spend more money on PR rather than the actual job he was elected to do, just like the Abia state governor is doing, propaganda!

And a large number of these hijackers are his tribesmen, those who didn’t even know how the Obidient movement was nurtured. It’s really funny!

And these hijackers are going as far as trying to gaslight the Edo people, a tribe with independent thinkers, to vote in an incompetent man. A man who got elected as the NBA president through rigging. Someone with no robust CV compared to the competent candidates of the other major parties in Edo state. How can they try to have a say in other states affairs? Just because of their selfish interest. Edo money will not be used to fund Obi’s presidential journey in 2027.

And I stand firm in the belief that if Obi makes a lot of noise about the election for the LP candidate, he will lose the goodwill of the people. You can’t impose a candidate on the Edo people; the moment you try to do that, you will lose their goodwill. Just ask Oshiomole.

After this election, we will dismantle the remaining structure of LP in Edo state because we have discovered that it’s a cunning party that does not stand for equity and justice. It’s just like the other parties, riddled with corruption and evil.

For my part, I'm stepping away from the Obidient movement until further notice.
