The embassy in Nigeria doesn't accept uni-assist processing letter for block account. For applicant study visa, you need maybe an invitation for an exam or the like. This has been discussed here ,read some pages back.

Boss! I'm not the one who need this info but its cool though... If you read through very well you would find out that peep made use of the uni-assist cert for acct opening and booking of interview.. Cheers.

Applicant visa route can be used if he applied via uni-assist he can easily use the confirmation of application from uni-assist to open the account while he waits for adm letter bh apart from that iono how else he can go about it, he will probably need to chill for the letter nd hope it comes earlier. Another option is to apply to other courses/schs dt mk adm decisions early enough so u can just use it for visa app to save time

Boss! My reason for mentioning those monikers is to allow him/her read through their posts and if possible contact them for futher ideas.. I am not sure they both used the uni-assist doc.. I stand to be corrected though.

You could take 'the second turning by your left' when you'r ready to open the acct.... It is called 'applicant visa', some peep took it here and it worked fine.. Just take your time, read through Galads, Abiton or Abbhey posts... Cheers

1 ects = 1 unit course which is an average of 26 hours course work(lectures, assignments and lab work)

Generally, 1 ECTS=27.5 hours of study work by student. In Nigerian system, 1ECTS=1 credit unit, so a 5 unit course= 5ECTS.

I'm applying to a German uni for msc, I need details on the process involved in getting my transcript verified by embassy. can my statement of result service as degree certificate since I have transcript too? Finally, my transcript has a little error "r" in my name was omitted so is "Shiley" instead of "Shirley" and my date of birth in the transcript is 1989 instead of 1991 should I be worried about any of these errors?

Where do you reside? If you're in Lagos or Abj.. Go with the necessary docs to the german consulate(mon-wed) before 8am for your certification.... But if you're far from those 2 cities just stick with the high court certification... As regards the errors,swear an affidavit to that effect.... Note: make enough photocopies of your docs before heading to the embassy,thank me later..... Plus do well to read this particular part,all these questions had been treated.. Cheers.

Hello everyone, I'm in a dilemma right now and this has to do with the difference in year of birth as it appears on my original University transcript and International passport. My passport carries the correct information (1987). The difference is in the year of birth,1987 instead of 1985, date and month are the same on both documents. Can age declaration or sworn affidavit have any effect as I would be sending my transcripts and data page of my passport to a school this week. Thanks for your time and suggestions.

A sworn affidavit or age declaration should do.. Just certify the copies and add them to your application package.

Your age isn't a prob... Is your upper credit in HND or ND? If its the former you will definetly get an offer for a bsc prog... PGDs aint common in Germany... The minimum requirements for masters is a bachelors degree... Use www.daad.de for your search... Other ogas go contribute... Cheers.

Yeah I agree with you, but you only contact the prog coord after reading and searching through their website thoroughly to see if your question has been answered, for example you do not need to contact the program coord if on the website a school makes ielts compulsory for all except native speakers, but if such additional information isn't given then you make that enquiry from them. I believe that's the angle lmuhopeful is coming from.

Why advise him to contact the program coordinator? The instructions for applying to any program are clearly stated on the website of the program.



Theflint1, do not be surprised if the program coordinator does one of two things:

1) Ignore your email
2) Redirect you to the link on their website stating the application requirements

I think that if you really want to study here you have to be proactive about sourcing for information. Visit the programme website and read the instructions. Some people wonder about how to write a motivation letter. One of the key ingredients to writing a very strong motivation letter is to visit the programme website and read up on the research areas that they focus on and the courses that they teach. Incorporating these things into your motivatio letter is what makes it a strong letter.

Bottomline: Don't waste your time writing the programme coordinator. Use that time to read up on the application requirements yourself and to prepare your documents

Bro i beg to disagree about not contacting the prog coord/advisor,sometimes daad.de often refer applicants to the school's website while it's also clearly stated on school's website that for further enquiries contact the prog director/coord/advisor... So whats the biggy? While there are schools with FAQs,some schools dont have on their websites. I don't think its a waste of time trying to make certain clarifications before applying.

Well done everyone, i started following this thread the very beginning of 40 pages of German thread 1 that was when I was in 100L.
