Msauza:
The wife of Lotz ostensibly told the press that his husband was a fighter and soldier and that he had just left Iraq for Nigeria before his untimely death.

Did you hear that dummy. The man was a mercenary. Donner.
mechanics also travel too. mercs are now useless in iraq. so the man needed money to feed so he had to travel to Nigeria to change tires for change.

get that dummy? still a mechanic. nothing to be excited about

Patchesagain:
1. Nigeria is so useless they cannot find mechanics to service their own vehicals
2. Nigeria is so useless they have to employ foreigners at massive costs to service their vehicles
3. Nigeria is so useless they kill these highly valuable contractors in friendly fire incidents

Again, this is simply one of hundred of South African mercenaries, who he was and what he (supposedly) did is irrelevant

Fact remains: South African mercenaries are active in Nigeria

Ps: The company he worked for, did it offer mechanical services or did it offer private protection services?
1. that's what hapoens when you make emergency procurements to enter battle immediately. you bring in contractors who are familiar with such equipments to train your troops on the field. it's not so hard to assimilate

2. same as number one. stop repeating same thing. are you frustrated?

3. the most powerful and modern military in the world makes such mistakes too. it's not a perculiar incident.

because he died a mechanic now makes it irrelevant? wasn't it you dumies who claimed your mercs were flying jets and liberating towns?

oga, it is highly relevant to know that your koevet mercs have been reduced to roadside mechanics by the Nigerian Army.

the company that hired them could have also done that as on the field mechanics to service vehicles our troops are not familiar with. since there wasn't enough time for training.

Msauza:
If mechanics in Nigeria are doing tire replacement, then they are of a low grade. Tires could be changed by anyone even if you do not know technical know-how of fixing cars. Mechanics are more involved with mechanical parts of the vehicles and Aeroplanes. That is also an area of speciality to armed forces especially special forces. They should be able to mend poor performing vehicles and give them a new life while at the same time they are carrying guns and mortars.
good thing we are on the same page. he was just a mechanic.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by stillchris: 10:38am On Mar 12, 2015
Msauza:
Mr Lotz was not just an ordinary mechanic, he was an operator who among his duties could as well fix scrappy military vehicles and give them life. Such people with that skill are much needed in military.
yes. and he did a good job changing the tires of our reeva MRAPs. still a mechanic.

thanks for acknowledging that fact for us.

Fact remains: South Africans are turning a profit in Nigeria.
by changing tires while the professionals (NA) are shooting away. isn't that rather sad for a koevet operator?

F..king unprofessional busta..rds.
mumu. if you have sense you will notice the town has already been cleared. look around the video, you'll see smokes and damages.

those guys are mopping up the area with suppressive fire provided.

as for those arguing, don't tell me sh1t like that never happened in professional militaries. they will be dealt with for sure.

MikeCZAR:
No they're engaging something.

Even if that was the case, why are they allowed to do that?

There's a lot of wrongs in that video.
there's nothing wrong there. that town has been cleared and the,men are just mopping up while suppresive fire is provided to scare the enemy.

bro, i don't see anything wrong with that video. the town has obviously been cleared . notice plume of smokes behind the convoy and around the surroundings in the video. i played the video for our aboki and he said the same thing, that they have chased boko haram away from the area.

they are just providing suppresive fire in case the enemy has regrouped and wants to spring up a surprise attack. it's normal

except for those two.

Nigeria just bought SAMIL trucks from South Africa, we will use a mechanic from source who knows the vehicle engine. We prefer the white southies to be our laborer than you blacks who have empty coconut heads thinking that your casual labor mechanic is flying F-7 jet as a pilot cheesycheesy

we also bought some new MRAPS that are on frontlines. i hope he didn't die changing tiresgrin.

that small paragraph already explains everything. mechanics is what your ex koevets have been reduced to. i won't blame them though. they need moneygrin.

You see the problem with being educated under a tree is that the mind cant grasp certain concepts.
What I did there was to make an example....for you to understand it better small boy.

That's why I specifically started with "a certain military has lets say 1000". It is then up to the creative part of your brain
to fill in the blanks and add information as you read along. But since you have failed at that...let me be direct.

The Nigerian army does not have more new than old vehicles in it's inventory. Most are old, some are new.
So the only way for you to only use new vehicles on the front line will mean very a drastic decline in equipment facing Boko Haram.

So you are chasing BK with less men, and far less equipment. Which is not true. You are throwing everything you have at them wink grin
bwahahahahaha... he says i'm nervous. but he's the one typing long letters of emptinessgrin. i won't bother wasting time with a kindergarteen concept.

cool story though. now beg me and i'll enlighten you

Just mechanics.....let me make this nice and big for you so you can see it better. You are free to ignore this and try make some other useless point.

According to a Daily Maverick source, Lotz was working for a private security company called Pilgrim Africa Ltd. According to the company overview on Bloomberg, “Pilgrims Africa Limited provides security services in Nigeria. It provides armed escort teams to protect people from militant and criminal action. The company was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria.”

There is a significant, albeit controversial, South African presence in north-eastern Nigeria. The Nigerian army is working with private security companies who employ South Africans, ostensibly to train their troops in counter-terrorist activities.

In another, as-yet unverified report of a friendly fire incident in the Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State, Nigerian forces mistakenly opened fire on a convoy transporting foreign security contractors. Two foreigners, one black and once Caucasian, were killed in the incident. It seems likely that this incident and the Lotz incident are the same.
and this proves what exactly?

Enjoy your mental health issues. Have fun with the voices in your head.

A certain military has lets say 1000 old vehicles. They battle for months, even years to defeat a certain enemy.
100 brand new, out the box vehicles come in to help. And the generals decide to withdraw the 1000 and fight with the 100.

That makes perfect, crystal clear sense. Nigerian sense grin grin grin

As i said. The proof is in your head, and head alone.
between me and you, who sounds like who's developed mental health issues.

100 in your empty head? voicea whispering somethings to you? grin.

Fighting Boko Haram: South African mercenary killed in friendly fire

https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/images/resized_images/706x410q70sa-mercenary-dies-in-nigeria.jpg

The first South African has been killed in north-eastern Nigeria, where he was participating in the fight against Boko Haram. Leon Lotz, an apartheid-era Koevoet operative, was reportedly killed in a friendly fire incident when a Nigerian tank destroyed the wrong target. By SIMON ALLISON

According to sources in Nigeria, the first South African involved in the fight against Boko Haram has been killed. Leon Lotz, a former South African Defence Force Koevoet operator turned private security contractor, died in a friendly-fire incident on March 9 when a Nigerian tank opened fire on his convoy. The incident occurred in Nigeria’s Borno State, in the north-east of the country, near Boko Haram territory.

Lotz is reportedly from KwaZulu-Natal, and was involved in the support and maintenance of vehicles used by the Nigerian army in their ongoing offensive against Boko Haram.

There is a significant, albeit controversial, South African presence in north-eastern Nigeria. The Nigerian army is working with private security companies who employ South Africans, ostensibly to train their troops in counter-terrorist activities. In January, News24 reported that former SADF soldiers formed the core of a multinational team of private military experts that were en route to Nigeria.

Communication between these private security contractors and the Nigerian army is thought to be very poor, which perhaps explains the confusion leading to Lotz’s death.

Pilgrim Africa is owned by Cobus Claassens, a former member of infamous mercenary outfit Executive Outcomes. In December, on the subject of dealing with war crimes internationally, Claassens tweeted: “The UN needs Executive Outcomes to be resurrected. We knew how to deal with such rebels!!”
and i see how you unintelligently avoided boldening this partgrin.

Lotz is reportedly from KwaZulu-Natal, and was involved in the support and maintenance of vehicles used by the Nigerian army in their ongoing offensive against Boko Haram.

do you think Nigerians lack comprehension like you southiesgrin.

And you still say "proves"....GTFOH
go back to my very post where i made such statement. and yeah, it proves my point. our military took delivery of a lot of equipments since late last year. it's not new story so stop faking ignorance.
