Henry240:That's south Africans for you. They know so little outside their shores |
jln115:You ignorant comrade @patches claimed Nigeria never had SF (which has been in existence for more than 20 years) and anyone will find it annoying when a wrong info is peddled by an ignoramus who doesn't even have a clue of the armed forces he's talking about but keeps insisting on his ignorance. |
Patchesagain:1) I don't know patches. You tell me since you know the exploits of the marine commandos better. And no you ignoramus. They were not based on the royal marine commandos 2)Are you drunk? Do you bother to do research before making an opinion. This is definitely one problem with you people( especially you) I said look up 72nd special forces battalion of the Nigerian army. They've been active from the maitatsine, Taliban to boko haram insurgencies. That's more than 20 years Has Nigeria had other conventional threats aside Islamic terrorism? So engaging in such operations which conforms with the kind of threat doesn't qualify them as SF despite the SF training they are made to undergo? So you are saying since the SANDF SF have been useless for the past 20+ years disqualifies them as well? 3) what's new is we are gradually shifting towards SOF which we lacked initially. Look up the formation of such units and see they were drawn mostly from the 72 SF battalion. Sometimes it's not wrong to admit ignorance over matters you are clearly ignorant on. This thread is not where you should bring your misleading tales of fantasy. It will come to a time you will believe Buratai is a Kenyan army chief with the way you keep trying to misinform yourself
|
patches689:You are wrong patches. Good thing you agree you could be ignorant of this fact Nigeria had it's first SF during the civil war. (3rd marine commando). Look up 72 special forces battalion based in makurdi What's new in our army is SOF of which men where selected from different special forces units You south Africans should stop spewing ignoramus trash about something you don't know of. It's not funny And yes. Your SF have not been in combat since inception of SANDF so it's wrong to rate them above any other. |

gottfried21:i don't think AU will deploy without permissiin from burundian government. unless there's evidence of genocide and the UNSC gives the go ahead |

and some gullible Nigerians will believe this trash. these so called religious leaders should learn to caution their mumu followers not to use their religious righta as an excuse to cause neusance to the society. i'm not justifying the killings by the army as there are other ways to control violent protests (thanks to our useless police). the shiites are also not absolved in this matter too. these guys always disturb public peace when doing their rituals and it's unacceptable. Nigerian government should stop treating these religious leaders as demi gods. Jesus christ knew what he meant when he told his followers to "give to ceaser what belongs to ceaser" you can't be preaching peace while at the same time breaking laws and breaching public peace in the name of religion. this nonsense has to stop in this country if we are to move forward

I just got a job that pays better than my current one (although they haven't called me but my inside source has confirmed I'm among the list of those to Be taken and that it will be till next year). Let me start from where my confusion began so you can understand. My current job is based on contract (project supervisor) and when there is no project I don't get paid so I started an industrial cleaning business to fetch me money on the side. During my interview with this company I was honest with them about the nature of my job and how I also do the cleaning job too, but I didn't tell them that I own the business. Last night I got a call from my insider in the company that the boss( who also interviewed me) wants a maintenance cleaning at his home as his family will be returning soon for Christmas. Since he knows I run the biz, he had to call me. Now my confusion is: 1) Will my taking the contract affect my recruitment since the person who owns the house knows me? As per conflict of interest. Although I told them about it during the interview Passing the job to someone else will still require my presence as per negotiations process as I don't want to be cheated from getting my commission. So one way or the other, I still have to be there. Abeg I need some professional advise as I don't want to lose a good opportunity as this company is one you can grow a nice career with. lalasticlala abeg help me put am for the appropriate place |

frumentius:there's a new procurement policy being pursued by buhari's regime which would also see gov to gov deals etc.. i just hope they take it serious and follow it. the ATGM might be in service but not listed like most other equipments we have. |
JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - Thousands of marchers demanded President Jacob Zuma step down in rallies across South Africa on Wednesday, blaming him for a week of financial turmoil triggered by his sacking of the finance minister.http://uk.mobile.reuters.com/article/idUKKBN0TZ1QT20151216?irpc=932 this is how real protest against stup1d polithiefians should be. and not the typical twitter protest we do here |
rugged7:imagine how long it took the army to release this video. the army needs to work in it's publicity department |
gottfried21:We also have to look at the possibilities of Nigeria being a part of the useless coalition for intelligence purpose only. Buhari will not be so stup1d to commit our troops to a non African crisis especially now that we are busy at home. And yet to fully commit to the standby force. The coalition like every other coalition (including the west) is bound to fail. I just don't understand this new trend of building coalitions without a clear plan and strategy. These terrorists have made our leaders gone mad ![]() I know 3 members of the coalition that don't see eye to eye (Egypt v Qatar & turkey). So how are these countries supposed to corporate militarily? Nigeria will benefit from it from the intelligence part. I don't see us shedding a blood for those arabs.

please correct your perception. yes.. alot of Nigerians are criminals abroad but not most. there are so much more Nigerians making honest living (big or small) than the criminal ones. this is not a matter of what i hear, it's what i know. the problem is that the ones doing crime went there without a plan and when they get stuck they don't have any other option (so it seems)
