Why does scripture warn about falling away if salvation is eternal? Because if anyone falls away they won't receive eternal life.

It is only when the spirit becomes your life that he quicken your mortal bodies(Verse 11). It is then that the Holy Spirit will give life to your body. He will give you the abundant life the Lord Jesus talks about in John 10:10. Then you live free over the devil.


So everlasting life comes when we believe in the Lord Jesus and give our lives to him. We are saved with everlasting life. We are guarantee of heaven. But we still here on earth. So the the power and life we need to live through this life so that we don't lose the everlasting life given to us, is eternal life. And the Bible already shows us that there are 2 eternal lifes
