Firstly you need to understand what landlocked means.. SE is landlocked and doesn’t have access to the sea so it can’t have seaport… the ports in PH and delta state are functioning at the moment . Federal Government is even giving ships discount that berts in PH and delta, cos ships will rather Bert where is closer(you need to go read what nautical miles to the sea means)

I don’t know you but trust me if you have a vessel, you will rather barrt in Lagos in Nigeria than going to Bert in other states

Soon the lekki seaport will even be more busy cos it can take larger vessels/ships that comes to Nigeria.. and guess what? The lekki seaport wasn’t a federal government project. Before una start to dey accuse federal government of marginalization again.


Furthermore, it’s not seaport that drives development. Your leaders in Nigeria are lazy.. there are countries in Europe and Middle East without seaport and they are doing fine economically than countries with seaports. If as a Maths teacher you don't know how to up your game, then you are to blame.

There are certain subjects that school owners, parents and students should literally be begging for their attention, maths is one of them.

My core subjects are Maths and English and I never taught in any school, to keep my sanity and dignity intact.

I simply joined a facility put together by someone who used to be a teacher but probably got tired of these shenanigans. What you do there is teach only in the evenings when kids are back. He has connections in all those big schools. He will get the parents to register with him and charge them heavily. The only problem is that he didn't pay much. But by the time I added all the money from students and pupils together, I got 60k as at 2019. This is even because I was a nursing mom at the time and I have to care for my kids. He will post you to students in your area. I can give you his contact if you wish. He is based in Lagos. He is a grand master in what he does, he even trained us once in a month. How to cope with different types of children and how to handle difficult ones. You can even do this as well if you are smart. But you need to learn from this guy first, cos I've never seen his type of style in education.

I taught kids from big schools like Chrisland and the likes, who use British curriculums. If you are sound and you know your onions, you will make far more than you are making now as a Maths teacher.


Do you know how many people abroad who are looking for online Maths teachers for their kids? Paying teachers in their countries is too expensive, so they will gladly hire you online. Just a laptop and data, with generator cos of light, you can make 500k a month. You are not spending on transport, no hassle and bustle, you will remain fresh and clean.


Nigerians just complain without looking inwards.

Teachers are essential in every society. The Nigerian problem is that many who are into teaching are there for the wrong reasons, and those of them who are there for the right reasons — because they love teaching and have a true passion for training the future generation — do not get the respect they deserve from those in the establishment and the entire education system itself(not the kids). And this is where having teacher's unions in each district — for private and for public schools — would make a whole lot of sense and go a long way in bringing some sanity into all of this.

I’m currently in a dilemma and I wouldn’t like to shoot myself in the foot. I have been thinking lately of dropping money to start a joint business with my close friend, he has the expertise needed to run it but doesn’t have cash while I have cash with little knowledge of the business. I’m scared about him leaving later with most of the customers later when the business has grown to start his own since it’s a business that guarantee some huge returns in no distant time.
If I dedicate time to research about it, it’s a business I can handle fairly well On my own but I wouldn’t want my friend to think I cut him off it cos of the capital he couldn’t provide.
