Life never goes as planned most cases. Did he plan with Niger that there should be coup so that he will show you how much he has desires to rule. He was ECoWaS Chairman by rotational policy and Niger decided to go the coup route. The coup is not his making. He is doing his best. Tell us another president that inherited his counties problems and has to solve a neighbors own and that of the sub region. If after the Berlin conference, after the fights for independence, African countries decided to build their countries like Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea did, perhaps the story would have been different.

ECOWAS leaders detest democracy and have not shown even the slightest pretention of allowing its existence. Just look at Paul Biya of Cameroon, he has been in power since 1982 and does not allow free speech or opposition. He is among those pretending to want to "restore" democracy. Isn't that laughable?

These ECOWAS civilian despots are not against the coup in Niger because they believe in democracy. It is essentially about self-preservation for them. Their knee-jerk reaction is actuated by the fear that the same fate may befall them, and NOTHING more.

Tinubu is being pushed by the west to start a war that will cripple ECOWAS, particularly Nigeria, whose economy is already on tatters.

I align myself with these protesters because any war between Nigeria and Niger Republic will have devastating consequences on the civilian population of the two countries. You must have killed over a hundred civilians before killing one of the coupists.
