Let us put it this way: a northern soldier would prefer doing a coup against tinubu than fighting against Niger Republic.
If a war takes place, I think a lot of Nigerian soldiers and military bases will defect to the other side unless the Nigerian military does a coup.
I like some decisions of tinubu, this Niger thing is not one of them.
Tinubu, you can love France and still be your own man, you do not have to be a puppet of France.

People in Benin Republic do not see Nigerians (including Yoruba) as their brothers, I've had enough discussions with them in France. He didn't specify that it is "invading Niger Republic" which would make Nigeria look like a puppet, instead he said that "not invading would make tinubu and Nigeria lose credibility" then he followed by just saying "this would make Nigeria look like a western puppet".
I can't stress enough how important it is to express yourself without ambiguity or to express yourself clearly. It is very possible to write the opposite of what you think, if you are not careful enough.

Turmoil in Niger Republic, after the coup and after the French have removed their people and troops, will be a gift to France and the EU, but it will destabilise Nigeria further and it will strengthen boko haram. It might even cause a new Nigerian civil war. Many people in the north have close affinity with nigériens (Niger Republic citizens), many of them actually migrated from Niger Republic and just claim to be Nigerians.
