aunty storm abeg help me tell them oo
Hahahaha everything is cool....As for those questions...mehn...only google can help me. As in I have never heard of speciation or founders effect...abi is it physics? Na wa o |
peternonso: wch type of speciation is associated with the founders effects Lord of mercy and compassion! Hahahaha! Under which science topic is dis wan? Kai.... *running* |
Enthalpy is positive for endothermic reactions...or have I missed sth? Lemme read thru.... |
No be me open thread so I don't know the rules.... But I don't think insults should be allowed here. Don't get me wrong oh..its fun to watch and all but come on..... Just take it easy with the name calling. U can be angry that's allowed but no name calling pls. *the guilty party knows himself* No more verbal abuse! #drinking coke mixed with fanta# |
efe2real: U nor c me for parlor Madam StormLol.... sammyenergy: Updated status for ASUU STRIKE:FG promise student that strike will be off in few month. Senate plead with ASUU to call off strike considering the fact that no changes will come up again.Hmmm thank u bros... Frankly sha this strike is now pointless ![]() I only say this cos FG is not willing to do jack |
danox: If Jamb really gave universities 31st of October as deadline for admission, then Uniben will release the list soonMy brother...all my expectations and "speculations" have just been shattered. ASUU is falling my hand....uniben falling my hand...FG (no comment)....so I've decided not to set myself up for disappointment. I check the uniben site daily sha...but I have no expectations again. Long speech lol Summary: I'm vexing seriously! And I'm starting to doubt jamb's ultimatum will help matters(make uniben behave well) .....the strike might change everything |
![]() *just watching with popcorn* |
Ikemsinachi: already read. No account dat platelets are not cell was given!Actually...that was said in the first paragraph...but its old news now abeg..let's keep this place fun and groovey |
Hehehehehe I can see I missed some action... ![]() |
Elliotwiz1: i didn't know this so i'll ask more on it, no offence please..... "They're tiny irregular cell fragments which are non-nucleaued" if They're not living cells then why did they talk about them not being nucleated?......Lol..read this http://www.ouhsc.edu/platelets/platelets/platelets%20intro.html |
Swagalord18: we all know it depletes the ozone layer ...my question waz "explain" ...maybe u skipped thatHehehehehehe......mehn...I'll quietly sit this one out thanks....cos I haven't the slightest clue ![]() |
Rehnoy: THE EFFECTHmmmm Its clear I need to look at examples of chlorofloro carbons...it neva really hit me that all this is a chemical reaction ...and I wonder why ![]() Book sef ![]() |
Ikemsinachi: You can't and I guess no one here could convince me dat platelets are not cell. I think you are very wrong! ![]() Damn.......dude just google it up and read it on ur own time na...I did and its true...they're cell fragments... #chillaxing# |
Oghos1: Exactly!!!!!***dancing*** I get it now...used to actually confuse pollination with fertilization...thanks... |
Swagalord18: can someone explain the effect of CFCs(chloro-flouro-carbons), on the ozone layer, ...and how the ozone layer makes up for itWow..I know CFC's deplete the ozone layer causing tears and stuff... I don't think the ozone layer has a way of making up for it oh....hence the danger..or does it? |
Oghos1: Storm read my pollination question very wellLol...okay @suave...I read it again oh...twas a trick question bah? Lemme see if I can argue my way out... ![]() Below is the question: Pollination is d transfer of pollen grains from anther 2 stigma of d flowers of d same specie. True or False The answer is TRUE The answer would have been false only if the question read thus: Pollination is d transfer of pollen grains from anther 2 stigma of d flowers of ONLY d same specie. True or False Am I right or wrong? Sorry oh..I behave like this to learn..plus its fun so.... |
Oghos1: Lol.Hahahahaha...that's another thing oh...its like confusing sexual intercourse with pregnancy Summary: okay let's put it like this successful pollination can only occur btw plants of the same species.. And some plants can successfully pollinate themselves.... *modified* succesful pollination would lead to fertilization..as @oghos1 has pointed out ![]() |
Swagalord18: lol ...so som1 shouldnt read, but think .....goodluck with dat ooU know what? The answer is in the argument.... One specie of plant can either pollinate itself...or another plant of the same species.... @ Oghos1's question made no mention of species..so maybe that were the confusion set in. I hope this helps... |
Oghos1: Lol. U didn't do bad jare. no need to research the pollination question na...I agree with ya...that's why I said its true cos I know some plants can self pollinate ![]() Platelets are fragments of large cells...whoa! Didn't know that...so all platelets na borrow pose? Kai...... |
Odilop: Virus that attacks bacteria are called?Bacteriophage |
Hahahaha imagine! Some ppl don answer am? Kai...see timing...ooohhhmmm |
Oghos1: No correct ansas 2 these yetLol..too hard na... Platlets aren't cells (me no know how I know oh) I doubt they're cells...cos they're not like erythrocytes and leukocytes at all....I only know platelets as "the thing that helps in blood clotting" lol Emm that polination question...I think its true cos some plants actually self pollinate (that is pollinate themselves) And finally thermoacidophiles....strictly from the name I'll guess that they're microrganisms (maybe bacteria) that thrive in very hot very acidic habitats.. No crucify me oh...ur questions are hard so..... |
it has a biological name sir
Hmmm....autotroph ugonna1054: Right!! Wah of no 2??I don't know the colour ![]() All I remember is that the gases are used in the fountain experiment because they are very soluble in water...as for colour? Nada.... |
1) it is found in protozoans.. And it z an object of defense 2)*scratches head* maggot? 3)xeromorphics can cope in almost any environment whereas xerophytics are programmed to adapt to harsh conditions 4) found in earth worm.. Can't remember it's function
Awww1)Found in paramecium specifically...object of defense yes.. 2)Lol...grub...maggot is the larva of houseflies 3)Very correct...xeromorphs can survive w/o water but will do better in better conditions...while xerophytic plants will die if excess water is..administered..(E.g cactus) 4) Earthworm correct...emm...creates the cocoon that carries the eggs..(I don't knw if "create" is the best word to use.....) |
harryhenry02: STORM PLS what's your FACEBOOK ID? I would like to inquire something from youI've sent u an email...holla back when u can |
Hahahahaha! See as everybody leave houz for me... If I post fake newz na all of una go show **smh** ***walking away*** |
eazylu: lol..but they shouldn't. It will not change a thing about the admission status. I come dey wonder whether engineering applicants nor follow do the screening.Hahahaha....na so na engineering ppl have more confidence jare.... MBBS matter no clear at all. |
Elliotwiz1: the cyst acts as a protective shield around an organism, but i don't know if trichocyst is different¿clitellum is the storage centre for eggs in earthworms...Lol....u're correct abt the earthworms... Mr Calculus: hmm.....biology one tin i really love[irony].Lol....correct Mr Calculus: U GUYS SHOULD POST PRACTICAL QUES LIKE CALCULATIONS CAUSE THEORYTICAL QUES CAN EASILY B BROWSED.True...but I'm sure most of us stay true to the spirit of the thread....why not post some calculus questions... I'm a biologist (I know absolutely no math) so I can only post bio and chem questions... |
eazylu: Na wa o... everyone's talking about medicine and surgery, engineering applicants no dey this thread? They're here oh. They're just not as scared as we are.....lol |
Rehnoy: Oya let the questions roll.Hehehehe.... More bio ![]() What's is the fuction of trichocyst? And in what organism can it be found? What is the name of the larval stage of a wasp? What is the difference between a xeromorphic plant and a xerophytic plant? What is the function of clitellum? And in what organism is it found? |
Oghos1: Yea. Exactly. Beans n meat both contain protein but dae r not examples of protein. Dae r protein rich(proteinous) foods instead. Beans even has more carbohydrate dan protein. YES. Itz true..........Oh boy!!! Na true oh!!! I understand now...thanks..kai.... Na true..okay eba is a source of carbs...not a carb itself...I get it now. ![]() Thanks for taking the time to explain my brain is growing #dancing# |
ugonna1054: 1.Name the two gases used to carry out d Fountain xperiment.NH3 and HCL |
