Hahahahaha....kai is it the definition of "consultant" that is bringing problems? Obviously the word "consultant" cannot always refer to a medical doctor na....this shouldn't be an issue.
We have consultant physicians (paedotricians, ER, gyny , ENT etc)
Consultant dental surgeons
Consultant virologists, parasitologists, microbiologists ,biochemists and engineers etc.
In the case of the hospitals..a clear distinction should be made that's all. Consultant physician....or consultant......fill in the blank. The problem in is nigeria no doctor wants to seek help from a biochemist. That's not really their fault...its the naija educational system we should blame for that I guess.
Abroad a doctor can see a microorganism he/she isn't quite familiar with and decide to get more information from a consultant microbiologist (usually phD holders and professors) but in naija...ah! No go there lol...no worries though...that will change eventually. As we become more exposed as a country I guess. Cos nobody can be completely versed in everything...haba na winsh?

But having said all this.....a doctor can have 2 degrees..like a degree in microbiology and a degree in mbbs....hmmm complication

Hmmmm I had originally come here just to share a problem I wanted solved. Then I read a few posts and saw some really rude and unecessary remarks...damn!
To the rude folk all I can say is don't shoot the messenger. This is customer care not mtn executive. Carry ur beef to the people in charge. And if u must "speak ur mind" atleast be a little civil about it...just try.

The latest news about ASUU Strike is that the House of Reps has promised to approve a supplementary budget to put an end to ASUU Strike. Recall that we informed you that the senate has passed a resolution to put an end to the ongoing ASUU Strike.

The House of Representatives said on Thursday that it was ready to approve a supplementary budget if that would end the strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The position of the House was made known by the Speaker, Mr. Aminu Tambuwal, after the House was briefed on efforts by its Committee on Education to end the strike.

The committee is chaired by Mr. Aminu Suleiman.

The Speaker appealed to the Federal Government and the striking lecturers to quickly reach an understanding and suspend the strike.

He observed that Nigeria would pay dearly for the lost academic time in the future if the strike was allowed to continue.

Tambuwal added, “Let me use this opportunity to appeal to both the Executive arm and the authorities of ASUU to please quickly resolve the problem. And if there is need for any appropriation, the House will expeditiously assent to it in the interest of our students and the nation.”
