Regional Police and not State Police is the Solution to curb fulani-herdsmen

It is unimaginable that the Governor of Delta state will be begging like a boy that needs help from his master in the case that has to do with fulani-herdsmen collecting protection fees which in Islam is called Dhimmi.
The Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, lamented the incursion of herdsmen into the state on Friday while receiving the Assistant Inspector General in charge of Zone 5, Rasheed Akintunde in Delta.
When has the status of indigenes of Delta state changed to that of a foreigner in their own land?

Wikipedia defines Dhimmi as an historical term referring to non-Muslims living in an Islamic state with legal protection. The word literally means "protected person". According to scholars, dhimmis had their rights fully protected in their communities, but as citizens in the Islamic state, had certain restrictions, and it was obligatory for them to pay the jizya tax, which complemented the zakat, or alms, paid by the Muslim subjects. Dhimmis were exempt from certain duties assigned specifically to Muslims, and did not enjoy certain political rights reserved for Muslims, but were otherwise equal under the laws of property, contract, and obligation.

Can you believe that, a terrorists group of people of Hausa-fulani extraction coming from far North down to Niger Delta to collect money for Dhimmi and the Government and People of Delta will be looking aloof?

Are we now in an Islamic State?

Where are the chest beating cult groups that dots Asaba City, in hotels, beer parlours, suya joints, in the tertiary institutions, on the streets, etc?
To add insult upon injury, the MEND, Niger-Delta Avengers (NDA) and other associated militia groups in the Niger-Delta are acting like castrated fowls?

The governor is a complete embarrassment to the people of this region for even mentioning it out. What stops him from instituting a law empowering state sponsored vigilantes to ensure these murderous fulani-herdsmen are neutralized, even before they can initiate this ugly tendencies?

Obviously, to spend morning from the state security votes will be difficult for him because such monies are seen to be free money thus, no greedy, self-centered, selfish governor will spend such monies to safe his own perceived people he is governing neither will they push for state police which to me will be hijacked by the callous and intolerable Nigerian Governors.

Thus, Regional police is the way to go of which the nomination of state police commissioner will not be decided by the State Governor, but by Federal and State legislators, retired judges, CLOs, NGOs, retired police chiefs from that region. Thereby, bringing about sanity and control in the policing of that region.

For those who can not see beyond their noses, since the fulani-herdsmen have started in Delta State, they will be emboldened to test it again in other states, from their we will all be in a soup.

On daily basis, Fulani-herdsmen attacks is causing death, rape, famine, hunger, starvation, loss of livelihood in the land while the elected politicians (Governors and legislators) are busy with consolidating their positions in office. We're really in deep trouble.

Let the truth be told, we don't have selfless politicians. We want to see candidates/Parties that will state in clear unambiguous terms their mandate on how they want bring about reforms and development to the country.

The sooner we begin to work on setting up this Regional Police the better for us all, so that we are not all murdered by blood thirsty, barbaric, animalistic fulani-herdsmen who are given protect by the government of the day.
