omongbatib:If I were you i would be asking the following questions: How did Eri and Nnamaku fall from the sky? With his head, hands, legs or mouth? Was he pushed (by devil, God) or did he fall of his own volition? What language did he speak when he first landed on earth? Did he land with a wife or alone? If alone, how did he give birth to his offspring? Did he not meet people (for e.g., Binis, Yorubas) already occupying the land when he landed? An inquiring mind wants to know. |
omongbatib:Suffice it to say that the Igbos have found themselves in Nigeria and indeed they are Nigerians like every other tribe. This tend to support the claim of an elderly Mbaise man from Imo State of Nigeria, whose name remain anonymous, in a book by Dr. Elizabeth Isichei titled “History of the Igbo People”. The elderly Mbaise man maintained that the Igbos did not come from anywhere. But the fact remains that the Igbos must come from somewhere beyond the limited knowledge of the Mbaise elder. Another claim seek to establish that the ancestors of the Igbos originated from the area they inhabit, presently known as Awka-Okigwe. Hence, the communities known as Umu-Nri regard themselves as the descendants of a hero called Eri, who along with his wife, Nnamaku, was sent down from the sky by Chukwu, the Igbo supreme God. I must confess that this claim sounds just like a fairy tale. Even a ten-year-old child would never believe this story. |
SEFAGO:hmmmm, very funny Anyhow, can you post your Mensa certificate for us to see? |
Can you all stop this shyyt It is annoying |
omongbatib:Igbobuigbo, Glad we had this discussion You basically agreed with everything I posited |
Dede1:OMG! Please ja mi si? |
omongbatib:Mu he eh he Omo Egba from Ibogun, Isnt OBJ from the same Egba division as yourself? Why do you Igbos like to be like us so so much? First, you want to claim Lagos, a city founded by the Aworis Second, you all wish OBJ was from the SE Third, due to your morbid shame of your ethnic group, you chose a Yoruba sounding name as your NL moniker, isnt there a good name you could have used? Fourth, you all wish you had a Nobel winner like the Yorubas; hence, the all too constant attempt at equating Achebe to Soyinka; you even went as far as intentionally propagating falsehood that a $1000 prize in computing is as prestigious as the Nobel prize. I can go on and on. What would Ibos not do to be like the Yorubas? |
Dede1:Mu he he Another Ibon Na by force to speak English Are you from the SS, like Mrs. Jonathan? |
Andre Uweh:She is doing just fine There is nothing worth reading about the article And, there is nothing worth discussing about a group of nonentity with no relevance whatsoever in contemporary Nigeria |
omongbatib:Ok ooo Omo Egba from Ibogun Whatever floats your boat Isnt OBJ from the same Egba as yourself? |
omongbatib:Well, Yorubas are still ruling the country; after all OBJ is still in charge, according to Wikileaks
|
No one who has read Bolaji Aremo’s new book, How Yoruba and Igbo Became Different Languages, would be left in any doubt that Igbo and Yoruba were at some time in the past the same language and that the Yoruba and the Igbo were members of one and the same ethnic group. That is some BIG lie Even if it was true, I am glad we no longer speak the same language Can you imagine fstranger and omongbati speaking the same language, let alone belonging to the same ethnic group I reject it Bolaji Aremo is one of those modern day revisionists Nothing good and factual ever come out from them! |
D-sense:"Stewpid" is that supposed to be mandarin? Make no mistake about it, I want one NL, but a NL where I will be a second class citizen is not the NL I want to participate in. All Nigerians must all be first class citizens on NL regardless of where we come from. This is the time to lay the foundation for such co-existence, without foreign interference. What is the purpose of being a Nigerian on NL, if I am being stupidly censored by a foreigner? But first we must sit together to discuss the nature of the NL foundation, devoid of outside influence. This is why we must have a talk, where the mighty and the low will sit together to determine how to dialogue on this cyberspace. I care not where the supermod comes from as long as he/she is Nigerian, and as long as I can be treated with respect and all the good things of NL are made available to me Obviously, She is not doing her job well, and that is why SEFAGO wants her job! |
semid4lyfe:Why dont you go a step further, and ask your ALL KNOWING SALONE to banish him from Nigeria Small time now, you go dey cry marginalization! Ode oshi. |
semid4lyfe:What a stupit way to reason; hopefully you are not a Nigerian Let Mukina go back to her country Nairaland na we own SEFAGO Carry on jooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooor 100% behind you! SEFAGO today, SEFAGO tomorrow, SEFAGO forever; Mukina can kiss my Nigerian arse goodbye!Bloody Salone |
omongbatib:I want to see the kids and their UGLY mothers! Well, I am not disputing the fact that you own 95% of Eko aka Lagos city, I dont care. The truth, and most important thing is that Lagos-State is owned by the Yorubas. |
Actually, Igbos own the world! They own NJ and NJ tooo What about Israel and Finland? |
Andre Uweh:Tribal Warlord Ezeuche/Abadaba, Get your facts right? Egbe Omo oduduwa was never a socio-cultural unit, it has always been a political organization! Ohaneaze, by the way, is a socio-POLITICAL organization, not just socio-cultural |
Omo Yoruba, If only you would put as much effort into your studies, you could be the AWO igbos never had Think about it! |
Still up for the drink? |

^^^^ The last time I checked, Anambra is located in the SEastern part of Nigeria As a concerned citizen, I am deeply worried about the psyche of some of the inhabitants of Nigeria I am worried for myself, for my family, for my relatives, and for all well meaning Nigerians. We have to expose thses cannibals, they do not belong in our midst. I am doing a public service, and if you do not like it, inactivate your NL account! |
