wip7: Hi,
Kindly look up, I have given detailed steps to follow for a research proposal, follow the same steps. The proposal should be what you wish to do during your PhD. We don’t know it, only you know it.
Come up with a rough skeleton of your intended research, visit google scholar, Elsevier, Taylor, springer and Wiley and type the keywords in your proposed research and check out related published work.
I just did for you in the mention websites: energy efficiency in residential buildings
You can see that over 200,000 research articles have been published in terms of energy efficiency in residential buildings. Its quite easy to search, download, read and follow steps above.
That's how it is done. A potential PhD student must learn how to use a wide array of sources to find details/information for their research.
See the screenshots, follow it and read, then come up with what you intend to do and from reading you will come up with your own angle and develop it.
Best wishes Sir please advise, I am surprised to see my full thesis which I have just converted and sent to a journal for publication at goodslide.org, though I know I have previously used the full thesis for PhD applications in the past. I never gave them the consent to share the thesis. I am afraid that it may affect my publication. What do you think I should do? |

asunmoGGMU: I will like to add that university-based journals can also be explored. I would suggest prospective authors check for possible journal to submit their manuscripts on DOAJ, which have many university/institution-based journals. Some are indexed in Web of Science and Scopus too. I understand these journals are still passable for acceptance owing to their domiciliarity. Most university-based journals are free too.
For this author in question, he can use this web link:
https://doaj.org/search?source=%7B%22query%22%3A%7B%22filtered%22%3A%7B%22filter%22%3A%7B%22bool%22%3A%7B%22must%22%3A%5B%7B%22term%22%3A%7B%22index.classification.exact%22%3A%22Education%22%7D%7D%2C%7B%22term%22%3A%7B%22_type%22%3A%22journal%22%7D%7D%5D%7D%7D%2C%22query%22%3A%7B%22match_all%22%3A%7B%7D%7D%7D%7D%2C%22from%22%3A20%7D
Best wishes to the author!
To my own issue, Prof Sir, I am looking for PhD opportunity in Turkey. My discipline is Library and Information Science. I've 68% in my master (79% in my dissertation) with five research articles published, notably one first author in a Q1 journal of my field. I thought I would source for scholarship but it seems I'm handicapped already. My results and others were unilaterally moderated by a lecturer, I was cut from 73-68%.
What are my chances with respect to scholarship considering my grade? I had 2'1 at bachelor's degree too, which compounds my headache. I honestly don't want to do PhD in this country. Thanks for your contribution too, I appreciate |

wip7: Please withdraw your manuscript from predatory journals and don’t waste your research efforts.
I have said severally here on how to find reputable journals.
Please I will encourage you and upcoming researchers to focus on publishing with Elsevier, Springer, Taylor and Francis, Wiley publishers... these are reputable publishers and all subscriptions based journals are FREE.....your manuscripts will go through various peer-reviews, you will receive revisions, make adjustments if is considered worthy and get published.
Majority of predatory journals make decisions about your article in their bedroom, no peer-review or kitchen-based peer reviewed. Next will be your article is accepted and pay. When you pay, at the end you will find out your published article worth nothing while those predators smile to the bank.
I have been part of jury for selection of academic staff and researchers not only in my region but as external for number of countries; countless applicants with dozens of fake articles have been shortlisted for positions. I have seen applicants with over 46 articles published and less than 3 of these articles belong to reputable sources.
Best wishes Thank you sir, I appreciate... I will act accordingly |

Can you find name of your university while selecting during reg? Sir I sent an article to sciepub for publishing, only for them to come back after many weeks to tell me that I have been accepted for publishing but I have to pay approximately $200. I was thinking it's free publishing. Its a science educational article. Please advise. Thanks you |

maasoap: The truth we should all ask ourselves how many people can Nigeria keep as prisoners? These were captured alive and the government whose is rehabilitating is not dumb. Some will never be released back into the society because they're beyond redemption, some committed crimes that can never be overlooked. But what about the the rest? Some prisons that are supposed to hold 4000 prisoners are currently holding more than times five of that figure. What do you suggest that government should do? Kill them? Overpopulate the prisons more? Continue keeping them at whose expense? It's common sense Just like I expected, you are right... The government should also give them more money before releasing them so they should go back and kill more people... |
