The pain in the heart of most Igbos is the role played by the Yorubas during the civil war.


Whatever Ojukwu and Awolowo discussed in secret, I don't know but what the public is aware of is that Awolowo said that if the east was allowed to secede the west would follow suit. Ojukwu ended up declaring the east a free and sovereign country but Awolowo refused to declare the west side a soverign country. To make matters worse, he joined the north to fight against us and the most painful part is starving many of our innocent women and children to death. We are not bothered about casualties on the battle field but the starving of our children coming from him.



Another Yoruba man, adekunle took it so personal to point of shooting women and children at the outskirts of Biafra. This man said that he didn't want to even see the Red Cross trying to help something even the Hausa/Fulani did not say!


Personally I feel the Yorubas should apologise to us for these.

To set the records straight, Igbos don't hate Yorubas because if we did, we would not be marrying you every day.


I am an Igbo man and I can tell you that this is the pain in the heart of Igbos agaisnt the Yoruba other than that, all is fine.

The major issue here is that the hurt of the civil war has not been taken care of so that it can heal.

A lot of Igbos are particularly pained because of Awolowo's role in that war. One way or the other, he didn't get the Yorubas to seced after Ojukwu had gone ahead to declare the eastern region a free and sovereign state of Biafra.

I think Yorubas should apologise to Igbos on his behalf. To be honest Igbos don't hate Yorubas because if we do, we will not be marrying you people every Saturday.


I think the Igbos and Yorubas should form a truth and reconciliation committe.

reminez, you better tell the military to finish what they have started and make sure no single militant is left alive because if those guys regroup, they will take revenge and vent their anger on innocents at Ikorodu and Ogun states.


Their previous attacks would be a child's play compared to what they might bring this time.


This is just an advise since you are here to hate Igbos.

I dont want to get banned but i said it many times over that yorubas dont care if you leave or stay. Yorubas cant keep repeating themselves on this issue. About the hatred, yea thats true and its a mutual thing.

Alcatraz003, channel your frustrations to Osinbajo who happens to be the most powerful Yoruba man today as far as political ratings are concerned. Take your frustrations to tinubu as well. Yorubas have been crying for restructuring pouring us spit here and ther only to get VP and now say that everything is okay like this and that we don't even need restructuring not to talk of breaking this country.


You hate Igbos so much and complain about them everyday yet your people are all over nairaland kicking agaisnt Biafra. Hell even the Yoruba owner of this forum will ban you for promoting Biafra.


Your fulani presidemt whom yorubas helped to power is saying that instead of them to let Igbos go, they would rather die(drown) with us.


Most Igbos hate yorubas for their role in the Biafran war. Awolowo said that he would also secede if the east was allowed to secede only for the east to secede then he turned round to join the northerners to kill our people. To make matters worse, he starved innocent Igbo women and children to death which really drove up our casualty figures.


Yorubas should apologise to Igbos for killing our children.

The military better make sure they finish off those militants completely because if they don't, those guys might come for revenge and vent their anger on the innocent people of Ikorodu & Ogun.

It is a good thing they are trying to secure SW by engaging the militants but coming out shamelessly to lie that that they killed 114 militants is shocking.


I hope they are not killing innocent Yorubas and tagging them militants. If there is one thing our military is well known for it is killing innocents and tagging them hostiles.


Personally I got very angry with those foolish miltants when I heard they were going about raping married women around Ikorodu & Ogun states.

Other Nigerians took Obasanjo and made him president against the wish of the Yorubas so why can other Nigerians not pick one Igbo man and make him president whether the Igbos accept him or not?

Igbos are a major ethnic group in Nigeria and cannot be put under.


Nigeria should allow Igbos leave peacefully since they don't want an Igbo man to rule Nigeria.


Why should Buhari say that instead of them to allow Igbos leave they would rather drown with us?



Sincerely, if an Igbo man is barred from ruling in his own country then why force us to remain with you like Buhari is ready to drown to keep us?
