Jimmychuks2018:Way forward, see you in Queen City soon ![]() |
...To discuss the next TRANSMISSION plan. |
Indeed there was a country... Nigeria is gone under our eyes! |
Jimmychuks2018:Now here’s some hope!!! May God be praised! |
wealth360:What is all these?! ![]() |
Bab5:I see the lengthy comment by the former staff as unrelated to our current situation, the fraction quotes above may likely be where our case is. I do not know exactly when he/she made that comment, but many of the situations described has been improved. For instance it doesn't take RCMP or CBSA any long time to scan their databases to trace the applicant's records using their Passport Numbers. Again, we can't be talking of lower paid or inexperienced staff when CIC claim to have the best immigration system, or can they argue that poorly trained and paid staff are the ones delivery the best of immigration services? If yes, do they only process those from Nigeria? Because our counterparts from other countries are getting responses - in less than 4 weeks! Again, I don't find this relevant. Of a truth I suspect it is a quota thing. But that being said, let's not also forget that all the provinces operate somehow independent of others. And the possibility of all provinces hitting their quotas at same time is not large enough. Assuming they updated background check passed, send people for medical and etc, we can now make the argument that all is set; but final decision depends on quota. But this is not the case. Talking about immigrants not voting or that the immigration system care less about immigration is not true. Canada depend largely on immigration to survive. For instance, latest federal government data shows that Canada had just fewer than 500,000 international students at the end of 2017; one can only but imagine how much this adds to the funding of Canadian Institutions. So they value us! The problem we have here is "a Nigerian problem". I am hopeful though that delay doesn't necessarily mean denial. Months ago the whole world was out for Trump for separating children from their parents. At this point I am not sure we are in any way different/far from that situation. It is worse when we are legally (by Canada's Law) entitled to have our spouses and kids with us - so long as we can afford to care for them, only to be delayed or denied that access. Two weeks ago I sent a tweet CIC's twitter page complaining of this same delay. They responded, informing me that they cannot tackle specific (personal) cases. At this point I suggest we all comment there (respectfully) and ask them to look into cases of SOWP applications from Nigeria. I believe by the time 2-6 of us do that they will communicate the Nigerian office to know what's amiss. Here's their handle: https://twitter.com/CitImmCanada. I study here and also work for the Government, and to be honest I find it hard to concentrate and study or do my work. I am mostly depressed and worried to see my family and I know many of us are in same situation. That is not good! |
F.o.o.l.s like you shouldn't be allowed in a saner forum! You have such guts to call someone like Duke a clown. Ewu! asha9: |
This is exactly how some of the things we covet today will look in years to come; especially the ones our Yahoo brothers are buying. Check those cars well, the owners are prolly people who rushed to acquire expensive rides they cannot maintain on a long-run. It takes sustained wealth/source of income to maintain some of the things we crave for. Lesson: cut your fvcking coat according to fvcking your size! |
You have no single problem, ask for work permit for her at the point they issue you your study permit. Forget no.2 for now. Congrats! SeriaBravo: |
Jimmychuks2018:It is well bro, and do let me know just in case you would like me to stop by and see them. I live in Regina and I'm pretty able to help with any little assistance as may be desired. I hope you join us soon. |
I am not here to discredit e-warriors that are doing their job. But someone should please help me beg them to remind their master, Ugwuanyim that Isi-uzo (precisely, Eha-Amufu Dev. Authority) is still part of Enugu State and ideally an extract of Nsukka. It is gross the scam this governor dished to this region by claiming to have constructed a road to Eha-Amufu via Umualor. He stood shamelessly to commission less than 5km of that project and press had it that Eha-Amufu has been connected. Lies are bad, especially when you lie to those who voted you. A couple of decades ago, before the ugly civil war ravaged the area, one of the touchstones of Eastern pride bordering the northern part of the country was Eha-Amufu. Eha-Amufu is a home to the only Federal College of Education in Enugu State, a home to hardworking farmers and indigenes of Enugu State. DETAILS ABOUT THIS ICONIC TOWN IS HERE: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eha_Amufu Ugwuanyim should remember this people and help with a road. They are not asking for hospitals, schools, water, etc. Just provide access road, we can always find our way to get other things. Stop fixing only your home town and sending your e-warriors to come online to litter pictures of street lighting. A sane Governor shouldn't be doing that in a sane world. But what do I know? PLEASE FIX EHA-AMUFU ROAD. #Peace! |
Jimmychuks2018:Oh no, your wife's situation is indeed an urgent one. I can only but imagine how she's coping with baby and the wound. Please let her find the MP for her area within Regina, it does depend on the place she lives. Here's the website: https://regina.foundlocally.com/Local/Gov-FederalMPs.htm. Just pick the person representing her area and call or schedule a meeting. That's where I got the one I'm in touch with. It's well. |
wealth360:It's just saddening attempting to connect some of these dots, it just makes no single sense. I have been in touch with an MP in my region regarding this and the office has been helpful checking on the progress. CIC confirmed to them on May 18th that my wife's criminality and background checks were completed and successful, yet the online status remained processing since then till date. I contacted the office again last week and below is their reply after they spoke with CIC yet again. "Good Morning, As discussed your wife's application has made some progress but remains incomplete. They've checked your wife's criminality and background, and more recently verified your study permit and work permit, and your UofR enrollment. I asked if anything was required or could be done to expedite the process so that you can be reunited with your wife and see your daughter, but the response was that you need only continue to wait and you should hear back soon. I do hope that is correct. They suggested waiting until the end of the month before enquiring again, but as I said if you have no news I don't mind checking again and pushing in a couple weeks for you. You daughter's application is of course waiting for a decision on your wife's application, and then should be completed without any delay. Best Regards" I'm wondering. They kept the application after those verification. What for? Till today their status is still showing background check ongoing. It's depressing to forcefully separate one from his family for no just cause. Fingers crossed. |
It 10 weeks+ for my wife's application. Background check has been on for 2 months! It gets me wondering what is being checked on someone whose background check was completed and passed in her previous application barely 7 months before. The next two weeks would have us sending mails to question CIC what we have done wrong. |
Creativity! |
wealth360:Gotta! |
wealth360:It’s ok, do me a mail direct **** Let me know once you copy it so I can delete. Thanks Wealth. |
wealth360:First, accept my congratulations in advance that your spouse’s medical is passed, it’s a good sign. My wife and daughter submitted April 30th, no medical yet. |
MrCork:I have load of those, and yet I can’t seem to connect the process of getting one to not knowing the difference between “hear” and “here”. |
MrCork:With this version of English, please how did you get to London ![]() |
wealth360:You are in SK? Wow! I’m in Queen City (Regina). We can connect I guess. |
There's nothing strange in this, age falsification is a near-norm situation in our public service. If you doubt me ask PMB! He was 75yrs in 2015 and still 75yrs old till 2019. If you ask me, na who we go ask? Everybody is a kriminal... |
Sometimes it is painful just thinking of the many gross prices we pay directly or indirectly just for being A NIGERIAN. How else can you explain this, that someone's spouse is left hanging in wait of CIC decision for months. A wait one knows nothing about it's outcome, even when he/she believes he deserve a yes, yet unsure. How can background check take 2 months, what sort of background check exactly?! Something every other country gets done in 4-5 weeks is taking 13-14 weeks, just because we are Nigerians. What crime did we commit for deciding to spend our own money to get educated in a foreign country? It's even sad when they end up questioning if at all your own wife is truly married to you! A wife we (as Nigerians) marry in court, tradition and church, yet people whose country allow boyfriend and girlfriend living together as common law would still question validity of such marriage. We have seen things as Nigerians. Could someone please remind whoever or wherever our documents are processed that not every Nigerian is a crook? Because we are not! I'm tired of refreshing this thread every minute hoping to hear someone's good news. Alas they seem to have forgotten that people want to reunite with their families. This is depressing! |
mcobex:Ok. From my experience however, people get biometric mail right after their online submission is successfully received. Again, you may be right since things may also depend on locations and availability of schedule. I hope he hears from them asap. Thanks for your contribution. |
yeahkim:I would imagine your email was wrongly typed, or the delivery process was delayed. You need to contact CIC or a visa office nearest to you. Biometric mail comes immediately an application is submitted. Praying is good, but you do not have to wait; go there! |
No Match without Musa! Like for yes, share for double yes! ![]() |
What a country! |
Very informative! Thanks OP. |
So sad my brother. We are nowhere near liberation. namet: |
xpset02:May God forgive you. |
Lazy youths! So people now pay for “hailing”? Don’t dust your sick a*ss and go work the work for yourself! |
