remaj: By law: You are permitted to apply (together) with your kids to join your husband (a Full Time Graduate Student in any approved Canadian Post-Secondary Institution). Applying alone and leaving kids behind doesn't make sense, because one of the criteria for granting SOWP is that you want to REUNITE your family. Putting your kids out of the equation might suggest you are pulling some strings. And what if you got approved and apply for the kids and they get refused (God forbid)? My advise is to gather documents required, find ways to make an SOP that create ties back home. I believe that once everything is done right and correct, one can only get the visa - even though it may take time; delay is not denial. Just do what is RIGHT and let God handle the rest. 1 Like |

Bab5: This very document is actually for PR applications. I don't know, somehow it has become a norm for study permit & work permit applicants in Nigeria to include it. You can't get it for someone, basically because the applicant need to thumb print. |

smileing: Marry this guy now or regret later. All the people here condemning him ain't better. Yes he forced you, but he didn't walk. He's there to stay and you are busy making a thread. "But not God-fearing as I wanted" really? Don't let "god of men" rob your destiny. I can see you have consulted 5 people already who told you he's not your husband. Funny that 'people' are the ones telling you instead of the God you said your hubby-to-be doesn't fear enough. That guy might be holier than you are in my opinion. |

Pheisharah: I am not sure. I think it depends on where the application is being processed. My wife's (and baby) application is 13 weeks+ and no medical call or feedback whatsoever. Yet I am a student. I also know a couple other students on this thread waiting for feedback. Let's keep hopes alive in any case. |

Aghatise: Congrats on your study permit. I think you should link your wife's application - which is considered the principal application. Your daughter's application is dependent on that. There's nothing wrong with linking both, but it is better to keep an eye on the main application - your wife's. All the best. |

obailala: Tell the Delta and Ajaokuta steel story to people who know nothing about state of things around those facilities. You want to ‘connect’ dead historical facilities that never operated while Trucks keep deforming our road networks to move imported goods from Lagos to major cities around the country. You want to connect Delta and Ajaokuta when trucks spend days to move food, cattle and grains from North to other parts of the country through bad roads. A living brain would connect Lagos-Extreme North, North -East and West-East; each route trailing the middle belt. I don’t blame you, I blame those you work for. 2 Likes |

Education / Re: Davido & Chioma Featured In YABATECH Exam Questions by StudentsNG: 8:32pm On Jul 27, 2018 |
This is a good development. A business class should be all about negotiations and selling a car requires lots of negotiations and tactics. I am surprised that most of are laughing over this, but I admire the Lecturer's ability to relate his exam questions to a real situation. A lot of you laughing over this would be ok if the question had been framed using one non-existent Company in China, Taiwan or US. 4 Likes |

jaybaby2017: Sorry about your refusal dear sister. It's a refusal not denial, so there's hope. I can easily spot two issues from your explanations. 1. Over confidence 2. Desperation. To be honest, our people have messed up Canadian Immigration to a point that CIC now finds it difficult to trust Nigerians. They doubt every single document from us and every story we tell, until proven otherwise. The ideal would be to believe that our documents are true/valid until proven not - and there seems to be nothing we can do than continue to try. #Over confidence# To my no.1 above, I was a victim in my wife's first application in July 2017. I had submitted my (personal GTB Dom) bank statements (denominated in USD: 12 months inflow of $111k+ USD and closing balance of $37k+) joined with my CIBC (Canada) account with closing balance of $35k+ CDN. My company documents, 3 landed documents, etc BUT we failed to add my wife's account statement with the assumption that mine was enough. CIC turned that application down claiming that my wife has 'no PERSONAL finance' and 'poor establishments' in home country to guarantee her return. They further questioned if I was truly enrolled in school (whereas I added an official enrollment + spouse invitation letter from school). They also said they were not sure how our relationship unfolded, basically doubting if my wife was my wife for real. NOTE: My marriage was at federal Marriage Registry in the heart of FCT!, plus we added pictures from both court and church weddings, family photos at both weddings, including court & church marriage cert, newspaper publication for change of name, affidavit, etc. What point am I making here? Not including my wife's statement foiled everything else and made them question things they should never have! #Desperation# Your hubby resumed January, you applied in March and got refused and by June you already re-applied. This wouldn't have been an issue if you were from China, UK or even Kenya. But you are a Nigerian & applying from Nigeria. That was the issue. CIC saw a desperation to relocate, they didn't believe you truly wanted to visit your husband. And this is a bad thing for them to have developed that presupposition on us. I understand that your second refusal was based on: 1.Personal asset and finance ( I submitted both dollar and Naira account with 3 land documents) 2. Document submitted could not be authenticated. To tackle this, you need to give it a break first. Let your husband get at least a part time job and establish few months of work record in Canada, then add his previous semester transcripts, enrollment letters, and letter from International Student office - of course with his bank statement not just yours. Also try on your own to figure why your documents could not be authenticated, I am hearing that for the first time. < ...I addressed the concern of the 1st VO's by providing a letter from my church... > This people don't understand the 'church language', they trust papers with legal backing. Get such letters notarized, only then would it count. < ...Note: Sincerely just wanted to visit hubby on our way from the US 'cos' we intend spending this summer in the US.... > No doubt about this, very few people would leave a well paid job in IOC to come here to work in McDonalds. But then, they don't believe you. < ...Hubby is frustrated and wants me to apply for SWOP but i'm not prepared to leave my job now.....Please advice a sister... > This is understandable, but let him chill. If you rush it you may prolly get same result. No one is praying for this, but that's what we have gathered from experience. Again: Avoid Agents! How about my wife? Well she waited for about 7 months before reapplying in April this year. We added a few more documents (which we ignored in the first application) including her 6-months account statement. An of course we now have a 5 months old pretty daughter. Their application remain pending with no words for now, but we are hopeful. I find this forum more useful than most agents out there. Once you have the right documents, do it yourself. Many gurus on this thread will help you. Cheers dear sister and regards to your family. 3 Likes 1 Share |

I sense a possible advent of another elephant project. Our leaders should start from the grassroot for God's sake. We do not have the technology and resources to embark on projects like this when we can readily use cement, water, rods and readily available Labour. OP should have been more specific and tell us that Governor went on Excursion. It's allowed, kids do it and he can do same! |
