Faiththatworks:You do realize that Shettima is NOT Hausa right? He is Kanuri. Based on that, your premise for this write up is wrong, hence your conclusion falls flat on its face. |
Studied Zoology. Will forever regret it. Had a flair for CS. Still don't know why I never pursued that instead. Now I'm learning via tutorials. Shame. |
backbencher:It's simple. They use it to do forex business. They get stooges to go to different banks to get ATM cards, pay them a little something, and collect the cards (very easy to do in the North, for obvious reasons). The accounts are funded in Nigeria, withdrawn abroad, and FX sent to Nigeria or sold to travellers abroad. It's a syndicate, but by and large, that's how it works. |
You sef, why you go buy female Lexus wey konji don hold finish ![]() |
Iblad0994:Don't be ridiculous. The issue is not about snatching ballot boxes. It is about the president prescribing capital punishment. Is that what our law says about election interference? Who would implement what the president is calling for? Security forces? Members of the public? It is blatantly wrong for the president of the country to utter such. It would have been more responsible of him to have said offenders will certainly be punished according to the provision of our laws. #Nigerianlivesmatter While you are at liberty to support whomever you want, take the liberty, every now and then to engage your brain in rational thought. Don't be a blind follower. |
This is a very good thing you are doing. keep up the good work. |
Mimee803:dis·in·for·ma·tion /ˌdisənfərˈmāSH(ə)n/ noun noun: disinformation false information which is intended to mislead, especially propaganda issued by a government organization to a rival power or the media. Saintp:Thank you. If you carry more than CAD10,000 cash/near-money instruments (or equivalent in other currencies), you are required to declare. |

Long post alert!!! My Landing Story. Hello people. I've been a silent reader of this thread, even though I once asked a set of questions nobody answered. This is my landing Story. We (I, my wife and kid) left Nigeria aboard a Turkish airline flight, which departed Abuja. We got to the airport about an hour before check in. We had 11 bags, even though we were entitled to just 5. We weighed the bags before leaving but somehow when they were weighed at the airport, all but one was below the 23kg allowed limit. So we had to start rearranging the contents of the bag to keep them at 32kg, which was the maximum allowed limit per bag. It was frantic and tiring. The officials were surprisingly helpful and patient, allowing us to keep re-weighing the bags each time until we got the 32 Kg. After all the work, we were down to 8 bags. We had to pay for 3 extra and 6 excess. At this point we were running late. Got to the Turkish airline office to pay, only to be told they had no POS. After a little talk I was given an account to transfer to. Did the online transfer, but GTB had other ideas. Transaction would be processed in 20 mins according to the app. Waited for close to 15 mins, at that point I pleaded with the guys to issue me a receipt to enable us check in. I had tried getting the boarding passes prior to coming to the airport but for some reason the site kept freezing at the final point. Luckily they obliged and I was on Usain Bolt mode back to the check-in counter. Shortly after, we were issued our tickets and we were off. Crossed immigration and customs in a matter of moments. It was about 11.30 pm. We were just about 3 passengers left to cross customs for a flight scheduled to leave at 11.45 pm. Right afterwards, we boarded. It would be 6+ hours to Istanbul. It was a smooth flight. The crew weren't exactly smiley, but were helpful the few times we sought their attention. The food was good too. Landed at Istanbul by 8.00am local time. We had a 6hrs+ layover. We made our way to the food court. While in line to buy some food for our boy, I overheard some guy telling another dude that Turkish airlines provided free meals to passengers if the Layover period was more than 4 hours. That would surely save us some much needed bucks I thought. I made for the airline's service desk right after buying my boy's meal for the free meal tickets. It turned out to be true. Got tickets for my wife and me and converted them to food a little while later. Our gate was yet to be announced so we wandered around the airport for a bit before picking a spot to pitch our tents. This was 11 am. 2 pm felt like 3 days away. Finally, our boarding gate was up the board and we had to walk for about 10 mins to get there from where we were seated. Boy, it was a loooong line. Thank God for Children oh. That's how my wife told them (customs) if they could attend to us cos of our baby (who was asleep). They put us in the business class lane. We were done in a few minutes. They asked for our COPR and passports; checked our hand luggage We boarded about 30 mins later. 10 mins after we took our seats, it turned out the flight was overbooked. It took them about 20 mins after everyone had boarded to sort it out. Not long after we were air borne and Toronto bound. It took us another 10 hours plus to arrive. The flight was smooth. Similar meals to the first leg of the trip. Good in-flight entertainment. We were given declaration cards on the plane. We declared excess cash and fish. I would fly Turkish again. We got in. The Time was a few minutes past 6pm local time. There was a long serpentine line for non Canadian and non PR travellers. Slowly but surely it got to our turn. The CBAP lady collected our declaration card and passports then asked again how much excess cash we had and what kind of item we had on us. Asked if we had alcohol or tobacco to which we answered in the negative. Asked if we had any goods to follow, to which we answered no. She marked the card then asked us to move to the next session. The line this time was shorter. It got to our turn. The official could see we were drained and tired. She took our passports, COPR and the card. Asked if we've been convicted of a crime before and if we've been denied visas or entry to Canada before. Our answer was of course, NO. Asked for our address and phone number. I gave her the address and the Freetone Canadian number I had got earlier. She asked us to sit for a moment. 5 minutes later she asked us to sign our copies and said "congratulations, you are now permanent residents". We were on our way out. We got to a desk where they gave us our welcome pack and were told "welcome to Canada". By this time Service Canada had closed. Probably about 2 mins before we got there. This was around 8pm. We got our bags, submitted the declaration card on our way out followed the exit for Taxis and took a Limo (cos of the number of bags) and a few minutes later we were home. Finally in Canada. Now the real hustle begins. PS: Apparently, you don't need to fill the accompanying goods form. You just need to fill the goods to follow form (if you have) and tick that space for goods to follow on the declaration card. Good luck to everyone. |
Guys please I need urgent information on the following: 1. Process of obtaining Ontario Driver's license: what documents do I need to go with from Nigeria? Will my current DL and Intl DL suffice? 2. How do I provide information on accompanying goods? Do I group items under categories and estimate the value of the entire group (e.g clothes and personal effects) or must I list them all one by one? 3. What documents do I need to present for Child Care Benefit, specifically with declarating previous years' income? Anyone with answers pls help out. I know these may have been answered before in this thread, so I'll also appreciate if anyone can help out with the links. Thanks already. |
BluntBoy:I really do not get their line if reasoning. It's disloyal and unpatriotic. It's that simple. |
TonyeBarcanista:I agree, but that's on an individual level. When the stakes are higher, like when countries are competing in the world cup, you support yours. Unless you have concrete ties to another country, eg dual citizenship, spouse or whatever, then your allegiance should be to your country. Country supercedes club IMO. |
lilbest4:It's not just about the 11 players, it's about what your country represents. It is unpatriotic to wish your own country ill to the advantage of another. It's a World Cup. A competition of countries. They represent our Green White Green. They represent us as a nation. We should be loyal to our flag and anthem, no matter what, not only out if convenience. When it comes to the World Cup, I'm sorry, country supercedes club. |
Antipob777:Oga Messi plays for FC Barcelona. FCB is not Spain. Help yourself |
This matter is simple. The IG was high AF!!! |
daremum:Quick question, did ur PPR MAIL tell u to send to Accra specifically? |
Hotshawarma:Bill Gates dropped out of College, not because he was dull, but because he and his peers found the educational system to slow for them to accomplish their dreams. So, that's not a smart comparison to make. |
asuustrike2009:Forget the distortions you see in the movies. A lot of conservative Americans are homophobic. LA, NY, FL, etc are more accepting, but that's not how it is everywhere in America. But by and large, yes the American society is way more accommodating to the gay community than her Nigerian counterpart. |

You guys should chill abeg. Nothing wrong with the tweet. Whether you agree or not, Apple as a brand is very niche. Tecno as a brand appeals more to the mass market. It is not a shade. It is an intelligent analogy. If he says he wants to focus on a unique brand of music dissimilar to what most other artistes are doing, what's the problem with that? Listen to his music, you'll know his is different. Understand his point before attacking him. Una like quarrel pass fight!!! |
Beautiful music, great story, amazing cinematography; very appealing video. "If you want her, come and collect her" ![]() |
This should settle the matter once and for all: The Body The body (exterior) design was one of the first tasks of the vehicle design during the concept development phase. Multiple design sketches and sub-scale models were proposed by GM’s design studios around the world in Warren, Michigan; London, England and North Hollywood, California. The proposed designs were reviewed in April, 2006 by the project leadership team including Bob Lutz, Jon Lauckner, and Ed Welburn who was the global design Vice President. The selected concept was conceived by the exterior designer, Jelani Aliyu. http://www.presidio.edu/userfiles/file/Case%20Study/Chevrolet%20VOLT%20Case%20Study,%20rev_%208-27-2013,%20incl%20JLL%20comments.pdf Page 27 Cc: fulanimafia, ikengawo |
It is appalling how people just robotically post comments without thinking. This is obviously very obsolete piece of information. People should learn how to read actively and not just post comments because they are fortunate to have Internet connectivity. The Mod to who even brought this to FP needs help. To whom brain is given, sense is expected. Enough said. |
INEC officials arrived 30 mins late. They went about setting up until the president arrived a few minutes past nine. Obviously, they had to start accreditation with him and his entourage. To those making noise about signal jammers, do note that card reading does not require any form of network connection. Signals are only required to send accreditation information to INEC HQ. The president and co will be accredited hopefully. Even if that doesn't work, there are incidence forms that can be used so long as voter identity has been verified, and such individuals will be allowed to vote. Beyond GEJ and GMB, this is about getting things right as a country and as a people. |
diluminati:erm..., you are not in any way remotely bright, are you? |
Utter ignorant rubbish. |

Icons Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Actress, singer, philanthropist, 34 By Richard Corliss April 18, 2013. The world’s most productive English-language film industry is not Hollywood but Nollywood. The teeming Nigerian cinema grinds out some 2,500 movies a year, mostly direct-to-DVD quickies mixing melodrama, music and an evangelical Christian spin. (Think Bollywood via Tyler Perry.) Employing a million Nigerians, Nollywood enthralls millions more who come for the thrills, the uplift and the artful agitations of Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde — the Queen of Nollywood. Called OmoSexy by her fans, she has made 300 or so features, from the 1996 Mortal Inheritance to the 2010 superproduction Ijé, shot partly on location in Los Angeles. Married to an airline pilot she wed on a flight from Lagos to Benin, Jalade-Ekeinde brings a juggler’s grace to her roles as actress, singer, reality-show star, mother of four and philanthropist (the Omotola Youth Empowerment Programme). Success hasn’t spoiled Africa’s most renowned leading lady. Rather than going Hollywood, Omotola wants to stay Nollywood. time100.time.com/2013/04/18/time-100/slide/all/#/2013/04/18/time-100/slide/omotola-jalade-ekeinde/?&_suid=1366530602992012985271479504512 |
GoooooooOooooooaaaaaaaaallllllllllll. Egbediiiiiiiii |
Everyone knows Abacha was corrupt, but almighty incorruptible Buhari turned a blind eye, ignored, and outrightly said Abacha was not corrupt. Now his supporters are burning up Northern Nigeria, again he has not said anything; he has turned a blind eye. This typifies the man, Buhari. |
