Nah wah o...wats with these advanced thieves a.k.a. F-Sars sef?? angry

While on a trip in Agege, from my mirror, I saw 2 men in black clothes with rifles running after my car in traffic signalling me to stop and when I did, they just asked my rider to come down, they pulled him roughly to enter their bus while one of them entered my car and asked me to make a U-turn and park alongside their bus.

My rider (a teenager) was released after 20 minutes. I had to end the trip so the guy can take bike bcus I can't afford to enter the slow moving traffic.

Samsung E5 is what I have been using, but the phone has been misbehaving lately. With an OS that is not upgradable, I'm in search of a new phone that won't cheat me or my rider. Looks at one of the new Motorola (E4 plus) low budget with good specs.

iPhone 5s at around 30-35k too make sense sha. But I no too like iPhone.
Motorola C 4g is working well for me and it's 28k.

A trip from UBA Marina to Amuwo Odofin last Saturday spoilt for me what was going on as a smooth day. Rider dropped off somewhere between Festac 1st and 2nd gates while I had to go down to around Alakija to make a turn to access the Festac 2nd gate with the intention of going out through the link bridge and then Ago Palace. Oh boy, what an error!

The link bridge was in chaos because of what I heard was a fallen tanker or trailer. I had to find my way back to the 2nd gate onto the expressway again. I made the mistake of not getting back to the main carriage way instead of remaining on the service lane when I got to an opening along the expressway.. Not my fault though as I hadn't been to that place in God-knows-how-long. Las Las, I spent 3 freaking hours meandering that Festac/Ojo/Badagry expressway axis. Never will I go down that route again. Never!
I have fallen victim to the mad traffic on that festac link bridge...then got caught up in Isolo for more than 3hrs.

Thanks for this prayer. God is indeed blessing the work of my hands.
I now partially own a Toyota Camry 2005
How?

Picked a rider from Ikeja GRA to Surulere.
I commented on how I thought he was a female from his soft voice over the phone. We got talking: e hailing, business etc. He saw a Toyota corolla 2000 model on the other lane and started gushing about how he loves that car. He intends selling one of his cars to get that. How it is portable and very economical and fits into his daily waka. I quickly chipped in 'what car do you intend selling'? Big daddy, he replied. I am interested
To cut the story short, the car is parked in my house now. My car.
There are angels moving around to bless you. Try to recognize them when you meet them.
The man is a barrister. I still owe him 100k and he has given me up to September to pay him at my convenience. Gotten on a platter of gold
Congrats bro!

Please share experience.

Thanks
It happened in Alade market Ikeja.
I needed to buy some dollars, one guy came and said he can get it for me cheap. He asked me to wait for him, he collected my money and gave me his own bundle of money as "Assurance" that he'll not run with my money which was like 5x the amount I gave him. A few minutes later, he returned saying the owner of the dollar is requesting that I add more money that hes no longer selling at the agreed rate, so I refused and asked him to give me back my money which he brought out, counted and recounted b4 handing it back to me and I also returned his.

When I now got to one of the offices where I usually buy, the Mallam say my money no complete...that dude half my money...azzin he took half and gave me half. I wan mad!

...and nah company money, not mine.

Lemme just drop this here...

Steps to Maintaining a Positive Attitude While Doing Your UBER/TAXIFY Business to SUCCESS.

A great solution should be enough for any of us to succeed in this Business, but a good attitude often makes all the difference.

1. Change focus, and think the positives.

Start looking for what is right in a person or business situation, instead of looking for what is wrong. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize. Be an optimist, and give everyone a smile.

2. Make a habit of doing it now and celebrating completion of trips

We have all procrastinated at some time or another in our business lives, leading to a negative attitude and missed opportunities.

A completed task is fulfilling and energizing; and incomplete task drains energy. In this ehailing business, there are times you will get to the rider and you quickly cancel the trip because of the customer's behavior, pause and ask yourself question.

3. Develop an attitude of gratitude and humility. This is very important.

Relationships and collaboration are most important in business. A great philosophy to live by is 'never forget what others have done for you and never remember what you have done for others.'

Count your blessings, and not your troubles. Celebrate every small win in business with your team.

4. Make your business a continuous learning process.

Many of us yearn for that stable point where the business runs like a machine, and there are no more changes. That fosters a lack of attention to new markets and new competitors, instead of an eagerness to learn and innovate.

Experience without learning is wasted effort.

5. Build high self-esteem in you and your team.

When people feel good about themselves, the business looks positive, productivity goes up, and relationships are a lot better. There are two kinds of people in business - givers and takers.

Takers can never get satisfaction, and they antagonize those around them. Only givers build self-esteem. Who are you in this Uber/Taxify Business?

Watin we go call this one now? angry

Got a request on taxify so I called rider who said he's requesting for a girl. He then sent me the girls number and I called her, she said she's at Ivory health Club in Ikeja, I was on Allen.

I called her again when I got the the pickup location, and she said she's on her way out...I was pressed and I needed to shake hands with the president so I stepped out of the car and crossed the street leaving my fone in the car. About 5mins later, the girl came out and we walked back to the car only to see that the guy has cancelled the trip and I've also missed a request. I wan mad!

Taxify now decided to punish me for rejecting a request on my first day on the job...my third request for the day for that matter...

My activity score dropped from 100% to 64% and my rating dropped from 5.0 to 1.0...and I was unable to go online for some hours.

Last last, nah offline trip me and the babe conclude on...

My village PPL choose the wrong time to treat my fuckup... angry sad

I need a quick loan and ready to contact u with a collateral worth over 3M..but what baffles me is what you will need my BVN nunber for.
Your BVN is also a collateral. You will be blocked from using every banking services in Nigeria if you default. The more reason why the mfb now give loans without collateral, all they need is your BVN.

I'm stubborn ooo when it comes to these LASTMA and Police guys. Some examples
1) Yesterday, at that roundabout near LASUTH, those traffic policemen and women came to stop me because the light turned red after I had crossed the traffic light. "Gerrout of my front", I bellowed at them, with authority. They scampered away
2) There was a time LASTMA stopped me at Ahmadu Bello Way inward Adeola Odeku. They said I blocked the 2nd lane turning off Ahmadu Bello into Adeola Odeku. The officer asked for my driving license, I gave him (color photocopy). He then asked for my vehicle particulars. I told him they were in the booth, that he should let me park well so I can get them. Before he accepted or not, I drove off
Howdy buddy. I just followed U on NL, kindly follow back so that I can send U a DM.

U are just a fortunate fellow. In transportation, always invest little and cash out early. Don't worry, sorry na your name the day you will get to Oga gazzuzz workshop for regular maintenance. After 4mths on d road, u will never recognize that your SUV. We have tried 2015 Suvs.bros, is not worth it except u wish to drive urself.
If you go orchid road 1mth for rider pick up, bros u go cry.
SUV consumes more gass and u can't get more than 35k weekly even if your car na range.
What of when you wish to expand, will u expand with SUV? Let one stupid driver from Ibadan show you tha way. You cannot be smarter than everyone doing this with ordinary corolla.
Bros U need to read his post again...not from the back of ur fone this time biko

I got this in an SMS today, it's geared towards the Riders....

* TAXIFY ALERT *

Ride credit has been added to Taxify! Add bank card to Payments to get N1000 off your next rides.

* Credits do not apply to cash rides.

What does this mean for the Driver?
Means more card trips and less cash trips and also a way to reduce debt owed to them by drivers
