The Federal Government has issued a travel restriction to Latin America following the outbreak of Zika virus infection in the region. The travel restriction, especially by pregnant women will be on until situation improves, the government stated. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has raised a global alert because the disease has affected about 23 countries in Americas especially in Latin America. At the moment, there is no cure or vaccine for Zika virus infection. Zika virus infection was first discovered in Brazil in 2014. The virus is transmitted by a bite of mosquito vector. The manifestation of Zika virus infection include: mild fever, rash (mostly maculo-papular), headaches, joint pain (arthralgia), muscle pain (myalgia), loss of weight (asthenia), and non-purulent conjunctivitis. Advertisement The virus is also associated with higher risk of congenital malformations in newborn when pregnant women are affected. The diseases usually occur about three (3) to twelve (12) days after the mosquito vector bite. Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, who announced the travel advice, also called for closer monitoring and screening at various ports of entry, especially with recent travel history to Latin America. According to a press statement signed by Mrs. Boade Akinola, Director, Media and Public Relations, Ministry of Health, Prof. Adewole also directed Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) to include Zika virus diagnosis as part of ongoing effort to manage Lassa fever outbreak in the country. The minister further assured Nigerian that there is no single case of Zika virus infection in the country and there is no need to panic, stressing that the Federal Ministry of Health will continue to monitor the situation and update Nigerians of any other developments. |

Since it's #throwbackthursday, I have been thinking those games I played n moves I made just 2 get laid... I had my uni education in the north so there are few things that are the trend back in those days which are that; you must know hw to speak hausa to 2 nack malo(fulani) chiq, have a ride 4 easy nacking, native dresses improves ur chances of nacking varieties of chiqz bt hey here is what I did 2 get laid 1. I had 2 learn lttle bit of fulani n sow only white natives(am Igbo tho). 2. Target a sweet chiq in a maths lecture, sit close to her and solve examples b4 d lecturer, 4rm there she'll fix AP with u n hey trust me. 3. Join her fellowship, even join SU, Bible society, whatever weird group she's on n appear spirited.. D rest is history. 4 early morning Jogging is also a 9yc place 2 catch wanna. B models n ladies dat wants 2 b in shape... Did dat a lot and got laid so many tyms... Remember dis chiq I use 2 jog with... I worked her 2 her breaking point n took her 2 a slab 2 rest n d rest was.... 5. Night class reading mate shiit ... Countless reading mate countless nacking... 6. I remember joing an entertainment group bt I don't know hw to dance or sing just 2 score 1 babe in 100l... Damnn that chiq fine. D dumbest thing I did was dressing lik a mallam 4 1month js 2 nail that malo chiq... I didn't say I did o... Let me help this ideology. The agitation did start even before Jonathan but during Jonathan's reign, he had a clear vision with the national conference where issues like the Biafran agitation will be addressed. Jonathan may have been clueless but your Buhari is never an alternative. What happened to the National conference? Countries like USA, Japan and China have resorted to "CONTINUITY" in their government where a government will uphold a long term vision made by another just for the goodwill of the said country notwithstanding the political affiliation. Where is vision 2020? Where is our National Conference we spent billions to organise? |
