Mane would have used this to build a school and a hospital. That's the difference |
A human being, with humanity in him, supporting El Rufai. Kai, psychiatric hospitals are not properly used in Africa. If you give El Rufai one more year, he would annihilate southern Kaduna and bring Fulanis from Mali to occupy there fast |
*... AND BY A PROPHET WAS HE PRESERVED* AN OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY, REV FR HYACINTH ALIA Some call it the "Yes Father" effect. Others describe it as Benue cleansing. Yet some others say it is Divinity at work in Benue as answers to prayers. And the workers call it the Mr 25th effect. One thing is however crystal clear; things have not been the same in the past one year in Benue state, since Rev Fr Alia became the governor of the state. A new sheriff is in town. For over 32 years as a Catholic Priest, and a healing Minister, he had experienced, firsthand, the sufferings of his people. He has seen physical, emotional and economic pains of the poor Benue farmer. And as a Priest, who lived among parishioners, he had had to give up his meals, emptied his pocket, denied himself of so many rights to bring smiles to some faces around him. Seeing the enormity of the suffering of his people, his prayer time was increased as he interceded for his people in prayers considering his scarce resources to give physical help to millions. But like the Biblical Joseph, whom the King made the Prime Minister since God, through him interpreted the dream that was going to prepare the kingdom for years of drought and famine ahead, the Almighty God said, my son, Hyacinth, since you feel this much burden for your people, who's more qualified and ready to enthrone prosperity in the land than you. And the Lord spoke, and He turned the hearts of the people, and "Yes Father" was coined to herald the enthronement of Rev Fr Alia as the governor of Benue state. Benue was in dire need of an emancipator, and Hosea 12:13 played before our eyes *"And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved."* A little over a year ago he was sworn in as the executive governor of Benue state having amassed the highest number of votes by a gubernatorial candidate in the history of the state. On a day like this I could have chronicled several achievements of the Reverend Governor. Yes, he has achieved a lot in one year. We can see roads in our towns, but yet, I can see through another prism God's reason for bringing him to us as a gift. What do you have to say about the openness with which the government is being run, for the first time in our recent democratic history. In my village of Oiji in Apa Local Government Area, I remember how many retired personnels who lost their lives hoping and waiting for their gratuity and pension. I remember a retiree who died for lack of N200 as I was made to know. Children of retirees sent out of schools in so many areas. Workers were afraid to retire. But then even those in active service were turned to beggars. There was no way forward for Benue workers. And when Benue workers complain, Benue farmers moan. Then all of a sudden the retirees are smiling; footing bills, taking care of their respective families. What has changed? A new sheriff is in town who not only pays workers promptly on or before the 25th of every month, but pays pensions of retired civil servants promptly also, and gratuity is paid within weeks of retirement without any unnecessary follow up. A governor, who has not taken any loan; who had no official cars till his tenth month in office as he was settling salary backlogs; who demanded same sacrifices from his appointees; who fought vehemently against those who had hitherto turned the state Treasury to personal accounts; who has commissioned projects without any loan; who said he could only take loans for further infrastructural developments; who visits projects sites by himself, rolling over his sleeves. That's the new sheriff in this town. The attitudinal change towards governance that he has inculcated in this one year is phenomenal. People now see government through a different prism. Transparency is the order of the day. He has no room for truancy, laziness and embezzlement, and he has shown many the exit door as a result. The salary wage bill has been reduced drastically after his first screening of the work force. He has sent many ghost workers to where they belong. Only the living work in Benue state now. The Disciplinary Master is here. Now our money would work for us, for all of us. Another imperceptible but momentous achievement is the faith that Benue indigenes now have in their leader. Yes, the opposition numbers in millions, and naturally so. But daily, many are won by the transparency of our workaholic, true, sincere, God-sent and dependable governor. Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia has spent time trying to clean the Augean stable he inherited. And he is succeeding. And the whole of Benue is standing by our governor. INEC would have the simplest election in Benue in 2027 among all the states in Nigeria. Our Reverend Governor is working. Benue is working. A new sheriff is indeed in town. ...And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved. Engr John Ikwuobe Apa Local Government Area 08038133037 |

We really have to purge our system. We have to stop making people with agbero mindset governors. Is this one also a Governor by this useless, meaningless and clueless speech? Sanusi is a human being. Gandollar is a .... |
Is there a 4 bedroom flat inside the phone, with 5 years free internet and 5 years feeding allowance to your account? Only lazy looters will go for it now. |
Halopy:Why would you write without your brain. You're calling elected representatives criminals. How can you undermine 17 out of 24? Only a mad man will support this Obaseki madness irrespective of party affiliation. |
I can only say this; Oshiomhole is more on ground in Edo than Obaseki. Imagine what has happened since he touched Edo soil. If he's not kidnapped before the election, Obaseki looses. I bet. |
I'm glad that everyone has been accusing Pastors for not turning up in isolation centres to heal people. At least it shows we all know that only Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No other way. None other. Nonetheless, if they're in need of healing, they should put their faith in God by going to meet a Pastor for healing, and not the other way round because it's not science, FAITH is a needed element here. If your faith is in face mask, no prayer can heal you. He that comes to God must believe that He is.... And you better listen to the Prophet for this generation, Pastor Chris while you still have time to avoid had I known. He's not moved by your insults, in fact, he's strengthened by it. Jesus is coming soon. Stop being a supporter of the New World Order through Internet of Things. Ask yourself whether Bill Gate is a medical doctor for all the fuss about his (mark of the beast) vaccines. Your insults will strengthen me please. |
SpyAC:Yes. Criticizing the government destructively doesn't help us. The same people keep clapping for their pat governors who looted them dry as almost everyone thinks their problem is Mr President. Bad enough, whenever the leaders do well, the same people will keep mute or say that they're doing it for political gain like the case of El-Rufai taking his son to public school. When will we begin to praise our leaders? Well-done Engr Dave Umahi. |
Rafiq2:In as much as the deal was not entered to by this government, I believe the last government did it in good faith but saboteurs betrayed the faith reposed in them. This idea of getting rich at the expense of the welfare of over 200 million people is demonic. May God help us to get this one right and avoid paying anything to the crook, P&ID. Pay the $200m and sue any British business for tax evasion of $600m same week. Our judiciary should please cooperate as their is trying hard to raise money for Brexit. That's it. |
meavox:People like you should live alone in the bush. You think God is foolish for making us one country? No region is useless. Remember the "animal farm". If you separate, there'll still be further separation because there'll always be marginalization. No real equality in nature. Speak unity. |

Who is he who judges another man's servant; to his master he stands or falls. We all should be careful with the way these allegations are going. I smell a rat here. Why haven't they instituted a case against the Pastor? Why media fight? Why planned protest? Someone is being paid to try to quench a burning and a shining light here. But remember, we're praying. The church is praying. I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it... |
There are 35 other states in Nigeria plus the FCT, and no one needs passport to travel to any of them from Kano. If you're not okay with the winner, move pls. If people are complaining of Ganduje, I wonder why we all have not left Benue for Ortom. If Ortom can win Benue, then Ganduje should even try presidency next time. |
Tambuwal is not going to loose. He has lost already. He should write his handing over note and get out. He was deceived to decamp by loosers. He cannot stand against Wamako any day, anytime. It has nothing to do with rigging. The America he's calling already said that the last elections were free and fair. He better learn to be calculative. |
The handwriting is clear on the wall. Even the gods are angry with PDP. Stop blaming the engineer. The PDP contractor looted the money for the podium and Onoghen, the trillionaire set him free. See the consequences now. I'm still laughing. Biko let me share the video. |
Yet people are still contesting and been voted for. Where is David Mark? Terrible |
It's amazing how the all-powerful David Gill (Oshiomhole) is so busy in the transfer market. After getting a natural striker, Akpabio, and quality mieldfielders like Uduaghan, I never thought he would complete the outfield with a central defender like Shekarau. A quality goal keeper is expected soon. Oshiomhole can save Man Utd season. |
I knew it. The recent Ekiti, Bauchi, Katsina and Kogi elections have opened their eyes, and the power drunk politicians will do just about anything to remain in power. |
Good move. In order not to be left behind, we have to move fast with emerging technologies. |
Ever young. |
gen2briz:You're truly a Nigerian, and your level of comprehension is high. Kudos. |
Zsquare:You don't deal Honourably with a dishonorable man. Saraki refused to be honourable by not announcing his resignation the moment he decamped from the majority camp. So you can't use very honourable means to handle this dishonorable Saraki. Akpabio placed the interest of the country above self. God bless Akpabio. |
yinkus6750:There's still hope with objective thinking people like you. Majority of these trouser sagging youths here don't love the country as they think. They've been getting it all wrong. Saraki should have announced his resignation the moment he chose to decamp from the majority. You can't be the leader of the majority while in the minority camp. Just common sense. |
Congratulations to honest Senator Shehu Sani. It seems the APC, Oshiomhole, Osinbajo, Tinubu, Wamako, and so on know the game more than PDP, Thug Wike, Basketmouth FFK, Dramatist Fayose Offa Robber Saraki and Clueless Tambuwal. Game on. Sai Baba |

Better venture. May God bless your endeavours. |
I don't support any of them. Nigerians are just busy supporting those who looted this country dry. Now we're praising those who decamped just because they're only realigning to keep collecting the N200m, N13.5m, and etc monthly for life. It's all for selfish and looting interest. What's somebody like Gemade doing in the Senate. They don't really care about us. Stop being foolish. Let's vote out every single person that has been in National Assembly before. I'm not supporting thieves because they seem to be playing smart. Robbers. |
ikemesit4477:You may keep on watching BBNaija as those satanists make their money and you keep on giving them from the little you have while little ones around you get spoilt until you wake up one morning to discover you're now 65 years doing nothing reasonable. Idle demon supporters. |
donAlvan:When will we be grateful for once. The same you praise those who steal our money. We surely need more psychiatric hospitals in Nigeria |
Some Nigerians will not seize to be funny. Let's act mature here pls. Others nation's are reading these things and are seeing how ungrateful Nigerians can be. They easily forgive and praise those who steal their money and make them suffer. But they can't even say thank you to the guy who's getting their money back amidst political persecutions. Donald Trump would build so many psychiatric hospitals if he wins Nigeria Presidency. Maybe that's much needed. Haba. |
