Politicians will never and can never make our supreme court a mere local court. The supreme court judges will rather remove their gowns and wigs than to review the Ihedioha case. If they do that, it then means they are no longer supreme but local high court. I dont understand why people find it difficult to understand that supreme court judges cannot reverse itself most especially in election cases. Even if there was a mistake somewhere in the case, rather than reversing themselves on already passed verdict, they will correct that mistake on subsequent similar cases brought henceforth to them. They know that once they reversed themselves especially on election case, politicians will leverage on that and bring all sort of cases which they already treated to them. Just like the former late CJN, Idris Kutigi told Andy Uba during Anambra State Governorship tussle, he said and I quote him, " THERE MUST BE AN END TO LITIGATION." supreme court will throw away ihedioha case based on technicality or lacking in merit.

Now Mbaka's prophecy might just be coming true. With this withdrawal, there is likely going to be a rerun cos of over 190k valid votes that the court may not want disenfranchise, Which is also higher than the margin of win between the winner and first runner up. Then APC will rain HELL on IMO to fulfill the prophecy.

And I think Supreme court ruled that he was the candidate of APC in the last election which makes him unfit to seek redress as candidate of AA.

The implication of that ruling is that Hope Uzodimma was not APC candidate in the last election and therefore cannot seek redress as such.

And again, even if the Supreme court orders rerun, it will have to be between the top 4 parties where Ihedioha would be representing PDP, Uche Nwosu for APC, Madumere for APGA and whoever.

Uzodimma might not even be in the rerun election.

Supreme court didn't affirm him the candidate of APC. That wasn't his prayer in the court. Supreme nullified his candidacy cos he belonged to 2 political parties at the time of election. He was a nominee in APC and the candidate in AA. Better put, he was a candidate in APC and the candidate in AA. Go to school. Mba. Only to come here with empty skull.
