Gurus in the house, I need to make AUD 1000 payment to TRA for my assessment. Please, how do I go about it.... the cheapest means.
I wouldn't mind if someone out there can assist me and pay back into his Nigeria account here.

Years of experience - 9 years cut down to 7.8 years - 10points.

Ehya, I learnt about the cutting down of years of experience too by the assessing bodies. Please, do they give reasons or something.
I will advise you to take another English language test to make ur 60 points.

Getting a positive assessment from a closely related job experience is the prerogative of the assessing authority. However, if you have considerable years of experience, you can get positive assessment as some bodies replace experience in lieu of the qualification.

If it is title that differs but same job description, then it will not affect you. The bodies take into consideration strictly the job description.

Statutory declaration is very easy. Each body has guideline on how to write it. Anyway, it is same as what your employer will write, only that this time, you will certify it in court or notary public as being truthful and honest. Then you include contact details of your supervisor or manager. When using statutory declaration, make sure you provide enough evidence to support your claim like offer letter, promotion letter (if any).

As regards the statutory declaration, exactly what I read from TRA guidelines and I think I will go for it. My bosses are ready to refer me.

Please, from records ; has anyone really gotten a positive assessment from assessing closely related job experiences. The job descriptions are same but the job title on my employment offer is different from what they have on the SOL.
And again I want to ask how to go about employment statutory declaration. I work with a multinational and it is not in there policy to issue employment reference letter and I don't really want to go through the back door to arrange one.

You, you can use PTE since TRA does not require English test. You DO NOT need to build any account for an Australian PR, you only need to pay for your visa.

I will like to ask how can I claim the 5 Points for the Partner skill qualifications. She is HND graduate of Food Technology.

Do we need to meet one, two... of the following conditions or all:

You can receive five points if, when you are invited to apply for this visa, your partner provides evidence that they:

*were under 50 years of age

*had at least competent English

*had nominated an occupation on the same skilled occupation list as your nominated occupation

*had been assessed by the relevant assessing authority as having suitable skills for the nominated occupation.

I want to use the 5 Points to compensate for the 10 Points I would get from TRA.

I read from TRA FAQS that they don't need my English test results to carry out the skills and qualifications assessment.

I want to ask if I can use PTE results for the PR processing and do I really need to build account for the application. If yes like how much for family of 4.

They have just given you the category you fall into based on your highest level of qualification in engineering which is equivalent to Australia Advanced Diploma. You will still need to nominate an occupation. And based on your profile, I think the closest occupation you can nominate is "Mechanical Technician" and unfortunately it is not EA that assesses that but rather TRA. You need at least 3yrs experience to be assessed by them.

Yeah, can't be assessed by EA and I have been given another option which is fitter (general) and that will be done by TRA.

Hi Sujydee, welcome on board. WES shld be the right body to evaluate your HND. just log onto wes canada website and read through. u can then come back with more questions.
Secondly, what is your NOC?? is your wife educated and below 30 and has some years work experience in an eligible NOC?? can she also get an ECA and a good IELTS score? if your answers to the above are affirmative, u may want to consider making her the primary applicant because you guys will have a better chance at getting an ITA.

The NOC that is very close to my job description is
2233 - Industrial and Manufacturing Technologist and Technician which is class B.

As regards my wife....
She is a graduate of Food Technology (HND) but she's into fashion designing. She is C. E. O of her fashion couture(4 years plus experience as Supervisor in seamstress). she actually attended a fashion school, I don't know if the fashion school certificate can be useful here.
She's 27 and I guess she might even perform better than me in the IELTS.... . Lols.

Her NOC will be 6342 - Tailors, dress makers, furriers and milliners which is class B and the requirement is minimum of post secondary school diploma or something.

I actually mailed EA before the Easter break and they replied me this morning.

I was given 2 options, though they said until I fully applied before I can be assured of positive outcome.

They said going by my qualifications I can be classified as either Engineering Associate or I follow the Competency Demonstration Report (CDR) pathway.

Here's the reply I got from them... .... .

Your Higher National Diploma may meet our minimum requirement for assessment after the completion of the National Diploma which you also have. Please refer to page 6 of the attached booklet for the Associate level requirements.

We can only offer an opinion at this stage, as until your application is submitted in full, we would not be able to guarantee a positive outcome, but based on the information you have provided, you should be able to apply via the CDR pathway as per Section C of the attached booklet.

Yes, it is not on SOL list but CSOL list. What it means you can only apply for sponsored visa which you need to meet indicula state sponsorship conditions.
