DS160 form for B1/B2 don't have Past Work Experience and Travel History. So I guess it's the same for K1 visa. So I think its normal.

Actually,it does.i was asked to fill my previous work experience,travel history and education background.i just put I graduated at so so date and I’ve been unemployed since then.and I’ve never been out of the country before so I didn’t have to fill all that part

So thing the thing about ds160 and scheduling an interview date is that

1. From the questions i answered in the ds-160,you can fill it even when your case is at the nvc because the only special thing they’d ask for is your uscis case number.every other questions are basic questions

2. You don’t need to fill ds-160 before you schedule an interview date again these days,especially considering the fact that it’s so difficult to get dates,just pay at any gtbank Branch and go to ustravel docs and fill in all the info,and your passport data page info and get a date.if you do this after you’ve filled the ds-160 then the barcode on the appointment letter will most likely tally with the ds-160 but if you schedule an interview first then it will have a different barcode,you’d have to call cgi and they’ll rectify it immediately and your appointment letter will have to codes(the ds-160 code and the code that was originally there before you called)

@legitbachelor...so I met a man today whose petition is going to expire on the 19th if this month,I think his fiancée called the embassy and they gave him a date themselves for the same 19th(expiry day of his petition)and he didn’t even send them an email,he just called and it was later he sent them an email.

Was just scrolling through the thread when I came across your post.
I don’t know the activities involved in a traditional engagement ceremony but it could easily be mistaken for traditional marriage.
Know that the CO’s consider traditional marriage or similar ceremony, mostly involving dowry payment, as too married for K1,a girl was denied when I had my interview.
I advise you tread carefully when asked and the pictures you present as evidence during the interview.

Mine was introduction, even on the album twas happy introduction. What my baby posted too was happy introduction to us. But alot of comments were "happy married life to you guys". "Wow, u didn't invite us" " u guys ended up together" many more like that.

I wish you God's favour and pls try to get the Bachelor's certificate though.

We clearly stated on the invitation card that it was a traditional engagement ceremony and nothing else.

Oh ok get it now. You won't see dates on the dashboard until you click on the reschedule appointment link. Right? However for those who are yet to schedule, they get to see the first available date on the dashboard (lower left part of the dashboard) without the need to click on the schedule appointment link.

The advantage is that they don't have any limit on the number of times they can view the dashboard unlike in your case where you have a limit of 3 times in 24 hours.

Yes I think so,but I think it’s like that for me cos I always use my phone to check the cgi page,the last time I used a computer,It was there on the lower left part of the dashboard.

Yes it is,click on the reschedule appointment Link and it’ll bring out the calendar,but you cannot check more than 3 times in 24 hours as well,it’s how I’ve been tracking the dates to see if I can get an earlier one,
And Yes,I have a date for November but I just want an earlier date.

Check4change app,it’s not that simple to use,go to youtube to check on how to use it,your computer also had to be connected to the internet all the time for you to be updated

Be patient dates open up at any time. But be careful so you don't get locked out again. you can give a space of 2-3hr for every check

I think you can only check 4 times in 24 hours so be careful not to get locked out again and yes,the December dates are filled up so January will probably come out soon and maybe an earlier date would pop up too.

@glorioussugar,has your portal been opened and have you been able to get an appointment date?

Please who in the house knows where I can get the original bachelorhood certificate,@legitbachelor,I recollect that you talked about it sometime but I’m not to sure when so can you please send me the link to when you talked about it.

For example.....i expect that you know why you did not plan your wedding after your fiance came to Nigeria.

Also.....i expect you know why you are getting married in the US and you know what your own wedding plans are......no one can answer that for you. Everyone's circumstance is different and we should watch out for contradictions in the answers we give.

Because now I’m getting paranoid,so cos of family pressure and all,we had to do our traditional engagement and my fiancée had to come to Nigeria in March and it was a very big one to be honest,it went from just inviting family members only to more than 1000 people coming and we were very specific about it even in the invitation that it was just traditional engagement but people were printing ‘happy married life’ souvenirs here and there and there was nothing we could do about it,we made sure that no bride price was paid as well so my question is what do you think I should do and would a certificate of bachelorhood help my case?

# just be composed. Answer all questions, just flow with the CO, when u don't understand his question, ask again, so you won't be aswering wrong. Cos all u say is being inputted into their computer.

Funny enough he didnt request for my call logs n other supporting documents.

I’ll sure pick a date when it opens. I know @abisola changed her date from oct 31 to September 20. That’s why I asked. I’ll pick the December, and then keep checking, if I’ll see a closer date.

Yeah,and I think I asked her how she did it but she didn’t respond,I’ve also been checking every midnight for the Past 3 weeks to see if I’ll get an earlier date but no luck so I’ve Stuck to the date that I have for now.you should probably consider using the check4change thing in your case sha

Yes that's true. Another thing I will like to add is that one can only reschedule or cancel twice. After the second reschedule, the option is no longer possible.

My petition was approved April 2nd, 2019. May 14th, We got a mail that our case was sent to nigeria embassy of which we waited patiently and got my packet-4 July 14th, 2019. So upon reading this thread, I got to know that petition expires and we realised it was to expire August 1, 2019.

I completed my DS 160 form and was awaiting the nearest date since July 30th, kept seeing "No available date". Finally got one for OCT 15th. Upon reading I decided to go for my med test September 30th(monday) two weeks before the interview, only for me to find out that my passport wouldnt be valid for the process (It is to expire mid march next year). I was so angry, and I kept thinking if only I got an earlier date, this wudnt have happened.

And not to focus on the problem, but solution; It means I must get a new passport on or before OCT 3(thursday) to do my medicals, (oh my that will be in three days time, I said to myself) and this is because med result comes out after 7 working days which will fall on Oct 14 a day to my interview (Oct 15).

But mehn, Eventually, I got my passport on wednesday, went for the medical on thursday, picked up the med result oct 14 and prayed that I get favoured the next day. Meanwhile, I was a bit worried because I have a new Passport number.

EVERYTHING TURNED OUT GOOD. I AM TO PICK MY PASSPORT AND VISA IN TWO WEEKS TIME.

Pick a date when your portal reopens and stick to it.However,contrary to what legitbachelor said,you don’t have to cancel your date and wait for a date to pop up before you reschedule,there’s the cancel option and there’s the reschedule option on your portal but considering the level of your paranoia now,you should stick to whatever date you get,and last I checked which was around 2 today,the 23rd of dec is the only available day and that’s if it’s not picked before Friday.

How come your medicals will expire in December,when did you do it,you should start thinking of sending an email to the embassy as to your expiration date so that they’ll extend it Incase you don’t get an appointment soon enough.

It’s a Mozilla Firefox extension,thing about that one is that your computer has to Be connected to the internet all the time so that if there’s a change you’ll know.im looking for an earlier date too so I’ve been asking around but nothing yet,I was told that the dates for our category are different from the normal b1/b2 so it’s hard to get dates
