sharpman1:Amen.thank you brother |
Hello guys,so it’s been a while I posted here but here’s my update,I got my green card,my interview was on the 5th of April and even though the interviewer didn’t approve us on the spot,we were approved 2 hours later, and I got my card the following week,I pretty much went with every possible thing plus we have a baby together so I think that must have helped, they didn’t ask us no personal questions or anything like that, just asked us to submit every evidence we have and stuff like that, thank you to everybody who has shared info in one way or the other to make this progress possible,y’all are the real mvp’s |
dicsnemma:Hey bro, congratulations.just a couple of questions 1. How long is your green card interview from the day you got the notice 2. You said you got your ead card by mail, did they send your the ead card even though they said that they have scheduled your green card interview? 3.Is it possible that you’re scheduled for an interview and they won’t update it on their website?did you by any chance experience something like this |
Gudnexvincent01:Don’t term it as a traditional wedding, term it as an engagement party.I had a big party in my case and my wife even sent them receipts from various vendors that rendered services to us when she filed,I also went with pictures from the engagement party, having that will make your case more credible just make sure y’all don’t have anything to do with a registry or court for any reason |
Hello house,it’s been a while.I hope y’all have been good and for people in the us,I hope everybody is safe.I just have a concern so I thought I’d air my worry,I filed for aos and ead since February,I was supposed to do my biometrics on the 1st of April but the lockdown was already in effect,up till now I’ve not heard anything from uscis not even to reschedule my biometrics,I can’t do anything as well not even apply for a drivers license cos the dmv said that my visa already expired and they can’t do anything till the uscis does something,it’s really frustrating,I called them a couple of time and they keep saying the same thing,I have to wait and my state is a small state too so I can’t say that they’re that backed up,is anybody also going through stuff like this too cos it’s frustrating the heck out of my life |
Drenimarcus:Congrats man, just a couple of questions. 1. When did you file and how long did your ead and green card take to be approved 2. Did the covid 19 affect your biometrics 3. When did your employment authorization get approved and after how long did you get your ead Card. And as regards the interview waiver, there is a video I watched on YouTube about the uscis waiving interview for temporary green cards cos of the covid 19 thing but when you want to remove conditions on it 2 years later is when they will drill you again as to your marriage and all that jazz so I hope it goes the same way for most of us waiting for our stuff too.big congratulations man.we move |
sharpman1:@sharpman,my bad.i wasn’t talking about you lol,Just seeing it now that It was you I replied, what you put in the form is fine.if you read my reply you’ll see that it wasn’t meant for you but treasure prince, you came into the country before me bro |
sharpman1:Yo man,it was on this same nairaland that someone wrote something similar to what you wrote and was denied, just tell your fiancée to write that she’ll be supporting you in all ways including your visa procurement and your coming to America, your feeding, shelter and in every possible way till you’re able to stand on your own, saying that you’ll be collecting a certain amount of money looks like fraud to them and I don’t think you want anybody to tell you that after all the waiting time to see your woman and the wahala |
LinLinGentle:You have seen all of this and you’re still all about making peace.are you insane? Somebody wants to take your life and you’re sitting there preaching peace, this country favors women does not automatically mean that it trashes men.take recordings and videos of her actions, are your children seeing everything that’s happening, report her to the authorities, especially if you know you’re not at fault her green card can be revoked if it’s life threatening or patapata she’ll have to leave the house for you.shes even threatening to leave you and joining dating sites,my brother you everything you need,do you not know what immigration scam is? |
Good morning house,is there anybody here that has not been able to do their biometrics as to adjusting status,I was given the 1st of April to come to the acs support center but I missed it cos I traveled and I didnt check my mail until yesterday,I signed up for an email notification but I wasn’t notified,@legitbachelor,@sharpman,@select500.does this mean that my case will be considered abandoned cos that’s what’s on the notification |
dicsnemma:You gotta wait At least two weeks before you can apply, but with this corona virus thing going on,you never can tell. |
LegitBachelor:What restriction are you talking about bro?i got my ssn a couple of weeks back and they didn’t say anything like that? |
@legitbachelor,@drenimarcus.i read from a link on the uscis website that says we gotta pay $415 for the employment authorization document (1-765) form too,but from what I’ve read on this forum,I’ve not seen anybody talk about it,did y’all pay or our category does not have to pay that fee? |
LegitBachelor:Question tho.some of the things you submitted from what you said are not asked for when submitting the I-485.did you frontload your petition and how long did it take for you to get your EAD? |
I think that smart kitty is a Complete disrespectful, foulmouthed talkative.why people on here get engaged to us citizens and want to get married is none of your business, most times you bring nothing but bad vibes to this thread and it’s not helpful for those who need help and want to be with their partners, you might have a reservation or two but you have no right whatsoever to come at people you don’t even know,it’s called respecting other people and knowing not to cross a line.it needs to stop. |
brownesugar:Freezing cold my dear,freezing cold! |
Drenimarcus:Hey poster, there’s really no big deal about coming here after getting your visa,I live in Delaware and there’s no intl airport here so I came in through Philadelphia and I wasn’t drilled for anything, got to the Poe,scanned my finger and was taken to a room where my sealed envelope was collected and my passport was stamped, was told to get married within 90 days and that was all.a random Dhs officer met me on my way to the agric section where you have to declare your food and collected my passport and asked me why I was getting married, caught me of guard but we ended up bantering and that was it.im yet to do my aos but I’m married to wifey already. Plus: Most of those officers especially whites are not that friendly or maybe it’s just where I came in through |
JWTheocracy1:Qatar Airways are very cheap and they’re one of the best airlines |
Please for those who already filed for adjustment of status(I-485) tHere’s a part that’s asking for priority date of underlying petition, what is supposed to be there cos the priority date for the NOA2 is blank |
@legitbachelor @drenimarcus,I’m conflicted as to what is required to file for AOS after marriage,I’m reading something on VJ that says that I’ll have to do medicals again And see a civil surgeon, did y’all do the same thing to file for AOS or I don’t need it? |
efozee:Your visa was already approved.you just needed to show up |
Study4life:I stayed in Atlantic hotel and it’s just 3-5 mins away from the embassy.its 20k a night I think but you’ll get value for your money. |
Glorioussugar:Dear glorioussugar, don’t let anybody scare you on here, peoole get denied and they still always end up getting approved, like I said,go to a court and get a divorce certificate.Explain your situation to them,my wife’s mom brought her to the us years ago and it took her close to 5 years cos they kept denying her cos of the marital status of her mom,she wasn’t legally married to her dad then but they still had to get a divorce certificate.it wasn’t until they involved a Congress man that the embassy approved the visa and not to even talk of the tens of thousands of dollars that went into it,lawyers will charge a lot of money but you stand a good chance with them.to the embassy, you are married like you stated in your previous application so how else do you plan to prove that you’re no longer married to them If you don’t get a divorce certificate.it even helps that your ex is now married to somebody in Canada,if you can get a paperwork to prove that then it will definitely help your case.dont just conclude that your fiancé should relocate to Nigeria.to come and do what?in that country lol.its going to take you a long time like I said maybe 2 to 3 years but have faith and fix all the loopholes this time around and you’ll laugh at last. |
Drenimarcus:This is not true lol.wife is an RN and she was in Nigeria 2 times in 10 months |
Beautyaddy:They have no business with whatever you want to do with your life in the us,the main aim of this visa category is for you to prove your love your fiancé and y’all intend to get married in the us.period |
@glorioussugar, I can’t even start to explain how bad I feel about your denial, you’re one of the people I’ve talked to most on here to I’m sorry about your case. 1 you should have told us about your ex and all that Jazz, you were informed enough to understand that previous applications affect this process so you should have told us way before you even filled your form. 2. They just wanted to waste your time with those questions, they already denied you cos of the discrepancies with your forms and all of that. 3. K1 visas are not appealeable so you should start making the next move A. Go back to your ex and y’all should go to a court and get a divorce letter, that y’all didn’t marry under the law does not mean you can’t get a divorce certificate.you can get it. B. It’s going to take a very long time so I’ll advice you to be prepared for what’s coming your way.your fiancé is gonna need to come home and marry you and apply for a spousal visa again and it’s a long process but you’ll pull through.make sure that all the loopholes are fixed this time around before he even comes home. I’m sorry about your denial once again |
kunlelikeme:Congratulations man,I’ve been off here for a while and I’m just seeing this.we move! |
