Hello house. Please is the K1 portal for interview different from the other visa portal? I cancelled the earlier date I got Cos I needed to take care of some pressing issues. Now I can’t seem to get a date.

Exactly. So my thinking is this....how can one prove that he or she will be able to cover the cost? Isn't the 125% income requirement not enough?

I don't think you will be affected. USCIS and the Embassies has to come up with a policy document based on this executive declaration from the White House.

I don't even know how USCIS and the Embassies will implement this new requirement. The requirement only says the immigrant should be insured within 30 days of entry into the States. It didn't say the insurance should be gotten before entry. So I wonder how USCIS and the Embassies can enforce this. Perhaps they will require a written commitment from the Petitioner that he/she will purchase an insurance plan for his/her fiancee within 30 days on entry or they might increase the Public Charge requirements (eg increase the % Federal Poverty Salary requirement from 125% to 250%). Lets watch and see. But personally I think the original Public Charge rule by USCIS should automatically take care of this new insurance requirement. I don't know why they want to enforce Public Charge rule and then come up with another rule on insurance. It's unnecessary if you ask me. Anyone who meets the Public Charge rrquirement should naturally be able to take care of his/her beneficiary's healthcare cost.

But one thing I know for sure is that this policy, if it comes into force, will affect anyone seeking visa for permanent entry into the States, be it fiancee visa or immigrant visa.

K1 will put more spending and responsibility on American citizen, many will pull back, health insurance on a new immigrant is expensive and it is a monthly pay, it's an additional bill. We will see less K or CR visas in the near future.

Please guys I need some advise here. I have done my interview a month ago and was advised on AP, I tried checking my visa status on the web site. But I keep getting the below screenshot message. Kindly advise on a way forward.

I was able to reach my then agent, and luckily for me, he gave me full access to his email account for now and i was able to move forward.
No date is available yet, and i keep refreshing that page only for to see below message:

You can log out,there’s no problem.it just means that the limit for the number of times you can visit that page is almost used up,I think it’s every 24 hours or so I’m not that sure,the oldies on this forum know more

Hello we are in the same shoes, I have been waiting for my packet 3 since over a month now. They initially said they don't have my case file which I tracked to have been received since third week of August. They replied my fiancé that they have received it and will get back to me.
Have you fill out the DS 160 forms already?
And done your medicals too?

Hi Guys, I have confirmation page of my DS-160 already, am trying to schedule appointment for my k1 fiance visa interview and am stocked here. i cant find any option for k1 visa under visa category.

please someone help me out

No problem. Once your perition has been approved, you are to provide your updated info (passport no, email address, date of birth, place of residence, etc) together with yiur fiance's to NVC. Also you'll provide same to the Embassy at the appropriate time. The new passport number is also what you'll use while filing your DS160 and while scheduling for interview date.

They collected my international passport, one passport photograph, affidavit of support and financial backings, birth certificate, medical report and police report but only my birth certificate was returned back , the asked for a copy of it though and I didn't have so they made it themselves.

The interviewer didn't request to see any of the documents or evidence I had with me too

Mine shipped out on 20th September, got to embassy on 26th (weekend inclusive). So give or take it's mostly 3 to 5 business days.
