I look at Lagos and the number of supposedly intelligent šŸ§  people living there and wonder how a single Ali Baba and his band of 49 thieves be held to hem hostage for so long.

Liberate yourselves from the shackles of mental slavery O Lagosians!

What is the development in your state without the suppose Godfather What is the vision and growth? What is the performance of your governors so far compare to Lagos State

Career / Re: Is Studying Engineering Now A Scam In Nigeria by sukomit(m): 10:00pm On Aug 29, 2022
jesmond3945:
I think Engineering is a problem solving degree. We have need for Engineers and their services in Nigeria. However, the system is in a big mess. There is so much corruption. For example the 18 billion that was used to clear bush would have engaged at least 100k engineers for 6 months. Do you know how much government would have generated from the value chain? So thats the problem. Now as an engineer there are skills you have to build in order to break even. You need the theoretical know how which the University teaches. You need technical which you learn from internship, on the street, on your own and so on. You need marketing skills to sell yourself. You need political skills to engage government to take notice of your craft. However, most graduates stop at the first part thats why they end up as teachers. Those who reach the last part are the ones who are balling.
Finally, the engineering family in Nigeria is only on paper. If I am an Engineer and I get a billion naira contract, I am supposed to look for my fellow Engineers to do the job likewise you getting a contract and bringing me onboard. But what we see is sabotage. They prefer to bring foreigners and unqualified people.
The political class and the elite dont value our engineers, a good example is the Dangote refinery were indians ran the show. Imagine indians running the show in your country.
My advise Op is to go for Engineering but try and get IT skills especially programming.
With a programming skill you dont need a political and you need some marketing skill in order to monetize your craft.

But the Nigerian constitution demands that.

I pity people who sticking their head for BAT. The same man that brought in Buhari to power.
Like suffer no dey tire una.
Just imagine how the agberos will multiply in Lagos. It will be doom.

Pls try and get your facts right before posting. Chigago State University already confirmed his studentship, which is higher than the minimum requirement by Inec.

The Chicago State University has debunked controversies surrounding the All-Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Bola Tinubu, declaring that the presidential aspirant did attend the university.

Beverly Poindexter, from the institutionā€™s Office of the Registrar, responded to enquiries from Nigerian press, saying that ā€œMr Tinubu did attend our university, however, if further information is needed, go to studentclearinghouse.org website to make a formal request.ā€

In an earlier letter dated August 20, 1999 and signed by then Registrar, Lois Davis, the university stated that Tinubu was its student between 1977 and 1979.

He said, ā€œPlease be advised that Bola A. Tinubu did indeed attend Chicago State University from August 1977 through June 1979. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Administration with honours on June 22, 1979. His major was Accounting.ā€

Also attached to Tinubuā€™s form CF004 submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission during his re-election bid in 2003 was a commendation letter from CSU recognising *his performance and ā€œhigh scholastic achievementā€.*

Does he have a choice?

Funny enough, hate filled alaigbos won't wonder why umahi is not supporting Peter Saint Obi.

They abused APC from 2014 till date now that PDP dealt with them, the tune changed.

Learn to stop abusing people that can help you. Acknowledge the Yorubas, the Hausas that opened their lands, cities and homes and gave you free hand to do business..

Yet the Igbos are the ones enjoying lagos the most apart from the Yoruba themselves.

The op is possibly lying. His or her main objective is to see others religious view with respect to baptism so as to create religious quarrel online.

The op's identity is anonymous.
The platform is a faceless forum.

Then why hide the identity of an organization that took the job from you, attack your beliefs, caused your financial and time loose, and caused your emotional trauma.

What is he or she hiding?

He has answered you guyz. Check the 3rdpage . He says he won't reveal much. Reason best known to him.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Scientists Who Converted To Islam And Their Reasons by sukomit(m): 1:18pm On Sep 11, 2020
Xmuslim:
you need to be independent thinker before you can understand my view. Qur'an is just one of many religious books. It can be questioned if error is found in it the same way we question the Bible and other scriptures. Snap out of the dillusion that Qur'an is absolute truth and contain no error

By the way I questioned Bible a lot when I was a Muslim. I still do by the way. So Qur'an is not excepted from criticism

What religion do you practise now? Which one is perfect to you?

Career / Re: Msc Or Job by sukomit(m): 8:37am On Feb 05, 2013
With the 2 years experience you have already in Nigeria, I would advise you to go for the master and become Gold. You are not doing it with no experience my brother. Just try as much as possible to get some certification in your field as well over there. UĢ…Ģ²Ģ¶Ģ„ĢŠ will surely get a better job coming back because you have the experience already and a foreign certificate to back it up. Grab the chance my broda.

Thanks for the advice generally...

Anyway, I believe graduates are really gaining from this.

Bros.. I didn't say first degree is useless, I only meant its quite unproductive. Atleast we can see what is happening.
My point is in the absence of no job for now, which area do UĢ…Ģ²Ģ¶Ģ„ĢŠ think can make someone more productive in Nigeria market. Master forms are opening here and there these days and graduates are rushing into it. Working class people please advise us

Career / Which Areas Are The Best For Young Graduates To Do Masters In Nigeria? by sukomit(m): 10:59am On Aug 06, 2012
Most Nigeria graduate ventures into master this days with no job experience due to the inability to get one and hoping that doing masters will give them an advantage.
I'm graduate in Mechanical engineering but I don't want to go into something unproductive like what first degree has turn to in Naija.
My question for guru's and people in the industries is that " which area do you think doing masters in it will help us in the Nigeria market"
