Texas is a wonderful place, great place to raise a family, huge open spaces and relatively mild real estate prices.

I was just spoilt with California after living there for almost 20 years before moving to Texas. The weather in California is just brilliantly perfect, yesterday it was 109 degrees and still I wasn't sweating - 70 degrees in Texas and I'm pouring with sweat due to the high humidity, fresh food is abundant in California, touristy places are abundant in California - I can be in Mexico, Las Vegas, Palms Springs, Wine Country, mountains all within 3 hours. I can truly ski on mountains, suntan on a beach and scuba dive all on the same day in California.

My move to Texas was the one single regrettable decision I've ever made since emigrating to the US.

I know in Europe they do have laundry built in the kitchen. In the U.S, we normally have it in a separate room close to bedrooms. U.S homes have laundry rooms. I have never seen a house in the U.S with laundry in the kitchen. About doing laundry at 11pm, why would anyone do laundry at 11pm? Laundry is something normally done mostly on weekend mornings till afternoon.

Everyone needs to slow down on the criticisms. In the U.S! Seriously! My laundry is right after my kitchen. I'll show you many 6 and 7 bedroom homes, with two living rooms with that same pattern. The Plan in my opinion, needs the living room closer to the kitchen and ventilation system in the masters bathroom. Since there's no steady electricity supply in Nigeria, that might mean a window.
This young man is open hearted; let's not try only see flaws in his work without appreciating his creativity. There's no such thing as impeccable/ perfect, except for fissions.

The mix ratio popularly used vary from 1:2:4 to 1:3:6 ( the use of 1:3:6 for bungalows built on considerable solid soil with properly compacted laterite filling of the foundation). for a simple bungalow a depth of 4"(100mm) or 75mm (3" can be used provided the laterite filling is properly compacted.

the membrane popularly used is polythene and the polythene serve the proposed of preventing moisture from rising through the foundation wall to the super structural walls above, such moisture rise when not prevent can cause swollen and pilling of finishes like plastering and paint on the super structure.
