fados4sure:Yea, I understand that...I will confirm from her. Thank you. |
Hello Fados4sure, I see you reading... Your assistance needed oooo bros! Thank you |
Dear UK residents, Peace of the lord be with you all, amen! I'm in dire need. I have an aunt who stays in South East London and needs a job urgently. She's married with a son and things are quite rough for the family, really rough for them. I'm doing this 'cos I do not think she or anyone with her academic/professional standard deserves this, however, what must be done must be done...I heard that it's tough for people without permanent residency to get jobs, but I'm a firm believer that there are UK business owners and employers here on nairaland. Please good-hearted people of nairaland, I ask on her behalf, if anyone can assist with any form of employment, especially one suitable for a stay-at-home mom.. please do not hesitate to contact me here.. Blessings, sunnshyn |

SAPNET:Hello SAPNET, Thank you for your reply. As per your question, I really have no idea... Is there a way you can render any assistance with or without her being legal or something. Not sure how it works in the UK. Let's talk please. I look forward to your reply. Blessings, sunnshyn. |

I know the feeling. Been around dogs and I know first-hand how loyal and loving a dog can be. My neighbours back then had dogs. First it was Willy, after his death, then came Sandra and Sharon all Alsatians... Then back in varsity, my bf(now ex) brought his dog from home PH as there was no one to care for her and handed her over to me entirely.. she became my number one best friend...Kiki was such a darl....kai!! I went everywhere in school with Kiki, very large Alsatian...we'll take walks together in the evenings, go sort for food together from leftovers at fast foods around campus.. we'll go study together at night on campus. Kiki'll sit just by me while I studied..would leave her for a while to attend lectures, she'll be so sad, as soon as she hears my voice..Kiki would start barking and wagging her beautiful tail happily...it was d best feeling ever... Until I finally graduated and broke up with my bf. To punish me he(ex) took his dog back!! Lord!! Did I cry and beg and beg to have my Kiki back......smh!! Heard she later passed on...*tears*.. I love dogs really. The only reason I haven't gotten one here is because of the emotional attachment we all have for them after they pass on...some peeps don't survive it.. And I hate d fact that they don't live so long...15yrs is such a short time to lose a friend don't you think?? Anyone with great dogs that can live up to at least 50yrs?? *wish-ful thinking I know* RIP to Dr. Papillo and Kiki... |
CFCfan:I support! And only those who attended Harvard University or Princeton!! Buhahahahahahahahahah!!! Jehova bu Chukwu... |
Jchi9876:Why you pursing Miss B all around? Ogini?? Won't you also go to bed, or you looking for something else? I'm watching you in 3D.... |

berem:So, all this happen on Nairaland kwa!! Ife ne me nuwa!! Fiaaaaaaa!! Nkan be ooo... |
Gboliwe:That's why Nigeria is this way cos we all stay on the fence and watch and then do nothing. When we see what's wrong or what we do not support, the proper thing is to SPEAK OUT AGAINST IT!! |
ZUBY77:God bless you my brother!! I am solidly with you on your campaign..I really can't stand egocentric people with such mind set... |
Some people should certainly not be in power...kai!! People will SUFFER!! Even criteria for international scholarships no reach like this... It's christmas, give cos you want to not because people deserve it or have to compete for it.... Competition ko, complexion ni! Msheewwww!! |
I agree...pidgin English is our national language. The 3 major Nigerian languages are so different. I wonder how that happened. Take a look at South African languages for instance. Over 10 languages and each language is similar. A person who speaks and understands isiZulu, will understand some words at least in isiTshwana or Sepedi etc at d barest minimum.. Our own no be am...a Yoruba person would never understand Igbo or Hausa or Calabar as no one word means the same in our languages unless he or she have lived in those areas... So yes, pidgin English unifies us...I'm glad I learnt my waffi, no time, as na him I take dey relate for yonder with my people anyhow... I greet una migwoly... |
Instead of you to teach them our lingua franca, our slangs so that they learn or at least appreciate our culture, you are asking that we forget ourselves so that your foreign frnds can feel good or welcomed? isn't this inferior complex my people? Listen Op, if u cannot take d pain to translate or explain our slangs and words that unify us as Nigerian nationals to ur foreign friends pls let them stay away from this forum or at least find other 'strict english speaking' forums arounds... |
Its only in Nigeria that a bag of rice can solve all our problems, it sends our children to school, create jobs, gives us good road, good hospitals and all...food of life! Gbogbonise!! |
Just take a look at all of us on this thread. We feel we are so smart and intelligent, this self-acclaimed intelligence is what has gotten us to this point in our country. We go world over and be comparing ourselves with other countries. Using and talking about the same things and methods we have always used over and over again with same results..is that intelligence? Nigeria's problem is peculiar to Nigeria ALONE! Leave ISIS and its likes, let's leave America, let's face our house and deal with that problem that hasn't made us sleep in years. The bottom line is: we know what our problems and and those causing our problems in our house(Nigeria), we know who the black sheep(s) in our family(ies) is(are),we know what we can do to fight these things, yet we sit and deliberate and analyse and talk big big talks...we aint smart people, we aint.. And those people you all claim are behind our troubles knows we are very very intelligent..NOT! Go everywhere, Nigerians and all knows how to rubbish the government, but what do we do afterwards? What precautionary methods do we take so we do not repeat the same mistakes again? Nothings!! We still go to the polls and do the same things over and over again... Let's run a mock polls and ask who Nigerians are going to vote in come 2015, you all will read that this same govt more than half of us criticise will still win...doesn't it show that we as Nigerian people have deep-sitted issues? Doing the same thing and expecting a different result., how possible is that?? We are to blame for our own problems, speaking big big grammar and flexing muscles all the time...no one will help unite our house, a house that is divided against itself CANNOT STAND, it only give the enemy more room to cause havoc...only us can solve our problems, but stomach infrastructure won't allow us see what's right or wrong.. Ebola came, see the speed at which the govt tackled it...they (Nigerian govt) know that unlike corruption ebola fears no one. It goes to show us that their(govt) sensibility is selective...if they could fight a whole ebola, why can't they fight boko haram? Something is wrong somewhere don't we think? and even if the west is plotting against us, we can stand up in unity and say NO and live our lives...depend less on them, manage what we have, cut our excesses and rebuild our nation.... Back to sleep...!! |
pweetixandy:This "female" got more than 90 likes... It goes to show you the kind of people we have in our community. You call other people's children "agberos" even without hearing what they have done? May God have mercy on you.. |
Corporal punishment should be abolished at all schools and homes...PERIOD!!! When we abolish corporal punishment, teachers will start thinking of other ways to discipline students.. There are several ways to discipline students...not inflicting pain on them... Nigerians!! That is why we are the way we are.. Very violent people without regards for human rights and all... The education system needs revamping!! |
I totally understand the motive behind this.... Truth be told, I can manufacture a close alternative to this...very simple and easy process. All we need is majorly ethanol and some additives.. I was opportuned to work and is still friends with another CEO who manufactures this cooking gel plus stove in SA. It was part of my Youwin application, for some reasons I didn't understand why my idea wasn't chosen, but now I understand...9billion to SA?? For real? For what? How much does the stove and gel cost? From research I know for a fact that we have other indigenous companies who makes these things, the stove itself isn't even rocket science to manufacture. Any good fabricator can do these things competently, trust my Aba brothers... I'm kinda disappointed sha.. Another thing is - our research team are great. Nigeria have very good researcher in diaspora. Go to any school in SA and u'll find teams of Nigerian researchers. From engineering to food science and all...but these people aren't motivated enough, they do their researches depending on yearly stipends(bursary) from their host schools and that's where it ends. None bring what they found or improved on back home. Why? Mentality. FG won't even take them seriously...smh! I'm upset. Nigerians and its government always thinking stuffs outside Nigeria is superior... It's only Nigeria that I knw so far that wouldn't support their own stuffs...Remember there's 24hrs electricity in most part of South Africa, yet people tried to develop ways to have clean cooking methods..imagine if electricity was epileptic like it is in Nigeria?? I'm sure South Africans would have developed ways to create their own electricity using different methods, and I'm not referring to importing generators please, yet their government supports them. We all can do it...most times the solutions to our problems are in our pockets...we tend to look too far...too far Why didn't I go ahead to start my own cooking gel one may ask....You probably will keep asking for a life time.. 9billion naira? Someone help me convert to rands please...smh!! It is well... |
