Is there really gonna be a test for MSc applicants? Knowing that these are non-English speaking countries, will the test (if any) gonna be of English (as opposed to French, German or Mandarin, lol) and subject based?

Nigerian Government and vague statements... Who knows whether they'll conduct a fresh recruitment or just 'wait list' some successful candidates from those interviewed last month or simply carry out in-house or 'long legs/connection recruitment for the other 400.

One can only wish to be among the successful ones though.

Well, it is a known fact that only those that have accessible profiles would make it to the next stage. Even some with inaccessible profile that claimed were invited for interview may be due to having 'long legs' must have had the closed profile back on track because it's essential for the process to continue.

Now that interviews are over, those that find their profiles inaccessible should just accept it as fate and consider it the end of the journey. Unless of course special favour from God or genuine and strong connection. Just my own opinion based on existing facts though.

I don't think there has been any activity on anyone's portal after the interviews.

So for now, even if our portal is still accessible, it doesn't really indicate success yet.

Now, if you follow my line of arguments closely, you'll understand that I only said the process of selection in Nigeria's public system is always porous, lacks transparency and always susceptible to manipulations by those at the top(of course this is like a cliché, because we all know it).
Also, I know that from the past DPR recruitment there were people that got it by merit.
I honestly can't prove that DPR's recruitment isn't merit-based. But I'm just not confident in the system like that of NLNG. That was the whole idea of my post in response to the guy's post I quoted earlier on.

Let's just hope people that merit it get successful at the end though.

I've worked at NLNG before (as an undergraduate intern). I wrote a test back then and out of more than 2000 candidates that sat for the Industrial Training placement test at Presidential hotel in PH, I was lucky to be among the 15 or so that were finally taken.
I didn't know anyone at PH even, let alone NLNG.
Also, I monitored their graduates trainee recruitment right from 2013 till when they finally sent final closure to the. waitlisted guys just last month.
So, when I talk about NLNG, I speak with some levels of trust in their approach in recruiting nothing but the. best.

But DPR on the other hand, I'm not saying there won't be those that would get it based on merit (infact, thats my only hope in the process because I don't know anyone there), I'm saying the Nigeria public system is too porous and corrupt and can be easily manipulated by those at the top, leaving very little space for the masses whose only hope is left on the merit-bases slots (if any).

And please, this is a public forum, you don't have to tell anyone to keep quiet as if they are in your palour.
We are all. anxious and hoping for the best as well.

That's NLNG, it's recruitments are almost always merit based, unlike DPR where the so-called "stakeholders" and top government officials do have say about who eventually get picked. Leaving very little slots for merit-based applicants.

When my documents were being verified, and I had to sign, my name was towards the end of the first page.

But while they were checking for my name during interview it was number two.

I think the numbering during interview is arranged according to who they want to take. It is certainly not based on the CBT.
