Everyday new conspiracy. Today's own: If you didn't ask them questions after your interview. Just forget about DPR. LMAO. Someone said, the opportunity they used to ask whether you have a relative at DPR should have been used to ask them your question back. Or better still, start planning to go back next week and ask them your questions by fire by force.
Me don talk my own, and I dey my house, make una coman beat me! PS: No body should insult me here, else! Lolz. |

Donelli: Where you hear this one again. Una don start Lmao, don't go and look for (get) your missing handshake now that they are still conducting interviews. When they finally release the list, then you'll understand how important it is to get a handshake after your interview. I dey my house, coman beat me. |

Make I go back go collect my handshake by fire by force oh! |

vingeophysicist: Chairman stop trying to claim you are hardworking .i am only asking when they will start sending positive or negative mail pertaining the essay.I know the information for the interview is on their site which is around February. This is the information I saw on their site:
Your application is currently being assessed and you will be informed whether your application will be progressed to the next stage of the selection process SHORTLY.
I want to know how soon we will know our fate, whether it will be divulged to us this year prior to the interview holding next year
shortly meaning today or tomorrow Are you currently able to upload any documents... I mean is there link for you to do that if you want to? Because mine is showing only "Withdraw your application" for now... I can't upload documents... What does it mean? |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by Sunnystooth(m): 2:34pm On Nov 27, 2017 |
msb247: You must go with the original copy of the document you uploaded! It's as simple as that. It may be an added advantage if you go with both and inform them that you only obtained it recently. If you can go to your school and obtain the original certificate before the interview then I suggest you do so. As a govt agency they should be aware that many institutions in Nigeria take some time to get certificates ready and some more time for the students to get it. All the best. I can't go with both of them... That's why I was a bit confused about what to do. |

BintSaad9: Take both along I don't think that would be possible, because the school might most likely get the Notification of Result from me. before issuing me the certificate.... That was why, i was a bit confused about what to do exactly. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by Sunnystooth(m): 5:44am On Nov 27, 2017 |
HRtechnique: Doesn't cost a thing to go get it. Please do. Prepare for all possibilities. All the best. Thanks for your response. I only wanted to be sure it wouldn't be an issue when they notice that what I uploaded is Notification of result and what I'm presenting to them is The Degree Certificate. I guess, I'll just go get the certificate then. Whatever happens, will take it as fate. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by Sunnystooth(m): 4:43am On Nov 27, 2017 |
Please someone should advise me properly here... I uploaded Notification of results, and my University just a couple of weeks ago did it convocation - that means my Degree Certificate is ready... Should I go get it, or still use the notification of result i uploaded online? Since they said we should come with the original of all the documents we uploaded.
Please, someone say something. |

Please, who has an idea on how to prepare for DPR interview for the graduate trainee position? What are the things to study aside from knowing DPR's structures and functions as a government agency/department? Typical questions that could be asked.
Also, anyone with any useful links about past dpr's recruitment should post it here while we all hope and wait to be shortlisted and called for the next stage. |

Xtaceeey: I got the mail to update, but all my infos are already intact. I uploaded everything according to the instructions earlier before invited for the test. Now, my question is why will I get the mail when I have nothing to update? (See attached my page)
All you people saying those who got the mail did not upload all their documents earlier, I think you may be wrong. Also, how come some people can log on to the portals and some cannot?
Meanwhile, the last time I updated my portal like this on a recruitment exercise,i wasn't invited for the test ooo. Lol.
Let them come and take their update mail back if na setup.. Lolz, funny but true experience... The last time I updated my info like this (NBC recruitment), I was not invited for the test. But hopefully DPR's will be different. |

neoclassical: . Ok Sir, but it is equally a wrong assertion on your part that everybody that applied for this job is unemployed/GT. Some of us applied as EH with Masters degree plus over 8yrs work experience. There is always a room for career growth, without disputing the fact that there will always be frictional unemployment . Be that as it may however, it is not an exclusive reserve for anyone to make observations on this thread, while anything on the contrary is attributed to unemployment pressure. My curiosity still hinges on the fact that his profile is still showing APPLICATION COMPLETED which is strange at this point. Some us also edited our profiles and saved. BYE. If I'm not mistaken, that 'APPLICATION COMPLETED' has been showing at the top of everyone's profile ever since we finished registration on the site last year... That's been been my observation though. And sorry if I sounded insensitive about the unemployment thingy... I just didn't want to be verbose in my write-up there... Whatever the reason for applying to DPR, be it unemployment, underemployment, career growth etc... It still shows the dire nature of the labour market for Nigerian graduates. |

Talento: Guy I am not here to argue with you. You can believe anything you wish. So I had to screenshot the application completed page after application so that I will use and show someone the "menu icon" today right you are wise indeed. And based on your level of knowledge I guess you should know by now that if you open a screenshot picture the current time will not display on it. Kingsley, don't argue with him... Mine too is accessible. But people are so anxious about this whole thing. I wouldn't blame them. though... The unemployment situation in this country is hell enough to warrant all this doubts and speculations. Don't ask how I know your name... Your passport gave it away... lolz. |

GentlemanAyo: Bro, yes you are right but that was for GRADUATE TECHNICAL TRAINEE POSITION. Only for graduate engineers with HND or a 2.2. Yes guys with 2.1 registered for the position, they were called for test, some made it to interview but NBC did not pick them because they don't need them, two of my guys were not called after the interview because they made 2.1. Dragnet shouldn't have invited them for test in the first place. Now this is a MANAGEMENT TRAINEE POSITION, according to the advert for this position, HND and 2.2 guys are not needed. This position is for graduate with 2.1, 1st class and masters degree holders. Graduate of Engineering, Science and Social Science can apply for this position depending on the course they studied in school. Graduate technical trainee and management trainee are two different programmes with different recruitment process. Yes some guys with HND and 2.2 will apply for this position, even guys whose course are not stated in the three categories will also apply. Dragnet might call them for test, some might make it to interview but at the end NBC has the final say because they know what they want. Guys might get lucky this time. So does it mean even Chemical Engineering Graduates are not eligible to apply, going by the engineering courses listed in the advert? |

Potential scholars be acting like *agberros* who can escalate a mild issue. How does arguing about last year's dates help us today? The top scorers even get called before the official release incase you are not aware. The problem is the *I_Too_Know* syndrome that is in us Hmmmm, so from the bolded, why are some of us still waiting for the list? What's the point? |

madridsta007: The advert usually comes out in November every year. This thread is for MSc and PhD candidates who sat for the 2017 cohort. We are waiting (and some are fighting) for the names of successful candidates of which I am one of them. I'll suggest you check the PTDF website in November, preferably daily. Lolz, No wonder Dre.Manuel said you were one way or the other engaged with PTDF. Don't tell me you're speaking by faith. Twill be so boring! |
