Soludo - Very Arrogant; Failed last time after being heavily backed finacially.

Ngige - No way under the ACN banner.(He stands more chance under PPA)

Dora - Anambra wouldn't elect a female governor

Andy Uba - Dark Horse; Depends if he at peace with his brothers who are also 'Dark Characters'.

Ifeanyi Ubah - Shot down before the start; No subsidy money to splash around.

Ngige should run for 'Lagos' state Governor under ACN - that's the most logical next step for him.

Lagos population is largely Igbo so he would have no problem winning in the SW under ACN - but never in the east.

Let them keep dreaming - her own ransom should not exceed N200,000.

And for that she better be released well fed.

Politics › The Trouble With Aid (featuring The Biafran War) - BBC 4 @9PM by Sunofgod(op): 9:19pm On Dec 09, 2012
Duration: 2 hours

45 years ago a group of young men and women set out to make the world a better place. They wanted to bring aid to those in dire need. These idealists would help create a new mass movement - humanitarianism. Its core belief is a simple one - that it is our duty to help those in desperate need, wherever they are. But trying to do good in the world's worst conflict zones is filled with danger and compromise.

The Trouble with Aid tells the story of what really happened during the major humanitarian disasters of the last 50 years: from the Biafran War, through to the Ethiopian famine and Live Aid, to the military intervention in Somalia and to present-day Afghanistan. Despite the best intentions, aid can have some unintended and terrible consequences.

Using the testimony of key players from the world's largest aid agencies, the film looks at what happens when good people try to help in a bad world.

Today, any humanitarian crisis leads to cries that we must 'do something'. The Trouble with Aid challenges this fundamental assumption by asking the question few us are prepared to face: can aid sometimes do more harm than good?

Policewoman: Some people on this forum need to get their brains checked. How can you hail the kidnappers for kidnapping someone who has not looted the treasury before? Or has king Okonjo stolen your money before? Instead of coming together to condemn kidnapping in all its entirety, una dey here dey talk rubbish. Ok. Tomorrow na una papa and mama dem go kidnap and I will be here laughing my a.s.s out. Umu anu mpama.
Shattap . . .

I'm sure nobody here condones kidnapping - But the victim in the case (Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala) is not a popular person hence the reaction from most posters.

She is the biggest thief Nigeria has ever seen - she steals for her white masters and doesn't give a damn about the average Nigerian.

The kidmappers should demand as ransom her resignation and exile from Nigeria - 99% of the nation will be behind them.
Politics › Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s Mother Kidnapped? by Sunofgod(op): 7:11pm On Dec 09, 2012
BY AUSTIN OGWUDA & FESTUS AHON

ASABA- Gunmen Sunday abducted the mother of the Minister of Finance, Prof Okonjo-Iweala in Ogwahi-Uku, Delta State.

Okonjo-Iweala’s mother who is the wife of His Majesty, Professor Chukwuka Aninshi Okonjo Agbogidi, the reigning Obi of Ogwashi-Uku kingdom was kidnapped Sunday at about 1:30 pm from the husband’s palace at Ogbe-Ofu quarters in Ogwahi-Uku by eight gunmen who stormed the palace in two Audi cars.

It could not be immediately ascertained if security men were at the palace when she was kidnapped.

Delta State police public relations officer, PPRO, Mr. Charles Muka in his reaction said “yes, we (police) have got the information on the kidnap and we have also got information that will lead to the arrest of the hoodlums”.

According to a dependable source, the woman who is a trained medical doctor and a professor was pushed into one of the Audi cars and driven to an unknown destination.

The source, who pleaded anonymity, said security agents have been drafted to the palace for fear of the unknown.

A senior police officer in the State who pleaded anonymity however said that massive manhunt has commenced to rescue the Queen of Ogwashi-Uku.

manny4life: Dude, it's unfortunate that many LOST THEIR JOBS in the banking sector, I'll be heartless to rejoice over such evil. However, let's call spade a spade - the truth be told, the banks management are either greedy and fraudulent or simply incompetent or clueless.

It's common sense, when you go to borrow, the banks is supposed to have have collateral assets in the event of default. Why will banks assume BILLIONS of $$$ in risk without any binding assets to hold onto and expect to be in business?

If the banks did not give that leeway, how will Otedola and Uba be holding so much? The problem is that Nigerian's finance market is restricted to ONLY the rich that banks see no other alternative but to lend to them, whereas in reality, that's not the case.

If you lend N100million to Otedola, who's not gonna repay with no backup assets, and you lend N100million to 100 people with SURE verified assets, who do you think is likely to default? Granted, the lower folks will be more pressured to pay up, there's less risk involved than dealing with Otedola.

My point is, unless we start directing our grievances to the right people, things will NEVER BE WELL. Otedola is just cashing in on the incompetence of your bank management, nothing else.
The issue is a political issue - not a business one. . . . Trust me.

Mr Ubah has been running his mouth and flaunting his ill-goten wealth as if he's now a 'god'.

He's just being 'shook-up' by the elders that are trying to make him understand the concept of respect, power and patience.

He thought he was about to take over the 'South-East' (Anambra) but he's being taught the principles of power - its not all about money!

I have some 'insider information' which I wont disclose - but I've known of the 'chap', his background and intentions.

He's just getting his 'wings' clipped' so he doesn't fly to close to the sun. He's piss.ed of some 'old timers' and they are taking their revenge on him.

. . .And he can forget about 'Governing Anambra' for at least the next 9 years.

Bye,
