I do not pander to emotions. Obviously there are a few adherents or pockets of adherents in Rivers Ijaw. You are not more Ijaw than I am. Let's face reality. I only stated personal experiences.
SaintBishop: You igbos just like to drag others into your death traps weiting concern Rivers ijaws with igbo people?
Keep deluding yourself with your subsidized reasoning.
Graysons: You are typing nonsense and i don't understand nonsense ok? Nothing concern ijaws=Niger delta with ipob =biafra=igbo people ok? I hope your brain can process that.
Can someone tell these ignoramuses that IPOB is not Igbo and Igbo is not IPOB. Go and learn. IPOB is not an ethnic group. IPOB is a pressure group. Yes, a lot of Igbos subscribe to their movement but there are a million Igbos who hate their belief with passion. Please, be civilised and think like a modern human. Don't commit the same offence that you accuse bigots of. Let a lot of ignoramuses also know that Rivers state is not an ethnic group; Rivers state is a state with people from different ethnic groups. There are plenty of indigenous Igbos in Rivers state. Can we quit thinking along ethnic lines and see the state as ours to protect against any form of attack or aggression from any group be it IPOB, task force, herdsmen, criminals, etc. Stop fanning the embers of ethnic cleansing. You are not an illiterate. With my Ijaw/Igbo blood, my brain has been wired to think this way. It is called civilization. Embrace it.
Lying? Keep deluding yourselves. I strongly condemn the militant ideology of IPOB. I am not a fan of Nnamdi Kanu. But we have to dare the truth with boldness.
That is the reality of IPOB being an ideology. I think a lot of people are ignorant of the extent of IPOB's penetration. Just by my side the other day, an Edo man was shouting Nnamdi Kanu is our leader. We, however, should say no to this militant side of IPOB. The governor is aware that's why there was no mention of Igbo in his speech, though he talked of people coming into Rivers and that Rivers state belongs to Rivers people. He forgot that a lot of Etche and Ikwerre and almost the entire Oyigbo down to Afam all subscribe to IPOB. So, it's not about strangers, the indigenous Riverians are a part of this. There Ogoni IPOBians; in fact, IPOB is in almost every Rivers community. Even in the riverine (IJAW) areas, there are adherents
Coldie: The funny thing about the whole situation is the Stanley mgbere is not even Igbo.
How can you outlaw a proscribed group? This particular IPOB is photoshopped. Seriously, every criminal element that perpetrated this mayhem in Oyigbo, whether a civilian or a military man must be brought too book.
Look at a supposedly brilliant you running with an unverified story. Advice: Always resist the urge to behave and think primitively. Think critically. Another lady put up an eyewitness account (subject to verification) alleging that the 'virgin' land is a piece of land located behind the man's building. However, the kinsmen insisted that he be buried in front of his house. These are the stories so far. Take them with a pinch of salt. Be careful rushing to make contributions.
Mindlog: They want to sell the land, being buried there would have messed up their plans.
If you had taken your time to read her story, you would have deduced that the graves (two I guess) behind the building must have been dug by the wife and children. Whilst the one in front is being dug by the kinsmen.
Hushpuppies: Thanks for bringing an insight to what happened but can you tell us why three graves were dug instead of one?
She wont tell us the whole gist. Her rant is obviously slanted to suit her purpose.
Ekpekaycee: My observation is your mom is probably not Igbo or from a different part. Probably you have been brought up by your mom to believe your uncles are envious of your dad and will hurt you cos they don't have their own children. You have probably had nothing to do with them. Probably you and your parents have not gone to the village in many years. Upon his death you realize that you have a family burial ground somewhere in the village. Did he build a house in the Land or in your mom's place. Tell the full story for me, I am very conversant with Igbo culture and something must have caused that attitude of your dad's people.
The other side has loaded. It seems the kinsmen were rooting for the dead.
PowerGlory: I was in the said burial a d witnessed everything that happened. 1. The man died mysteriously in the house with wound on his head and the wife and children never told the man's brothers after 24hours but hurried him to the mortuary. 2. The man was a retiree of CBN a d pays the wife N100k and children N50k each every month but they starved him of food. It's his brothers that feeds him. 3. This same daughter asked his out of their house when he came to ask them why they beat up their father. 4. The said girl is in Law School and still behaves stupidly. 5. The man built a house but the wife a d children insisted that he'll be buried behind the house which his immediate brothers and kinsmen object that he be buried in front of his house. 6. Despite the money given to the woman she cooks with firewood upstairs. 7. The woman and children were asking the man's Will to be read while the corpse was still in the mortuary. 8. Anyone that cares should come to Oguta, Imo State to verify for himself or herself.
Ndipe: Doesnt the woman have brothers to wade into this conflict? The ibos, despite their exposure to the western world, have very barbaric and wicked customs that stifles women's rights.
A public poll was conducted on Wazobia fm radio some years back asking Nigerian ladies which Nigerian tribe's men they would love to marry and why
90% of the ladies that called and gave their names all said Igbo. I mean Hausa, Yoruba, I jaw, Urhobo, etc women phoned in and said Igbo men, and their reason is that Igbo men take very good care of their wife and children and don't joke with the welfare of their wife or kids.
They said why they wouldn't want to marry Yoruba men is because of their open promiscuity and marrying multiple wives openly and secretly which their main wife usually find out when he dies.
They said Yoruba men prefer to take care of themselves first before thinking of caring for their wife and kids.
Many Yoruba ladies married to Igbo men phoned in and said they bless the day they met their Igbo husband.
Don't take an opinion of a wayward girl, an efulefu who thinks bad mouthing her own tribe will make other tribes love and cherish her. Just look at it, is the girl not foolish
Yes some communities and families in Igbo land have some horrible practice or culture that is no longer healthy for 2020 lifestyle, it's not common in all Igbo communities and families.
My only advice to ladies is, before you agree to marry any man from any tribe, look at his family members, his siblings especially, their personality matters a lot.
One side of the story loaded,; can someone load the other side. Then we'll load the truth.
Abdulazeez99: A Nigerian lady has taken to Twitter to narrate the bitter events surrounding the burial of her father,Igbere TV reports.
@ijayy_ who revealed that three graves were dug just to bury her father, stated that it was because his kinsmen hijacked his corpse.
The lady further disclosed that her father's kinsmen refused burying him in his land because it is a ''virgin'' land.
Igbere TV reports that the Twitter user who noted that everything one sees in Igbo movies are true and in fact worse, advised women to always study the culture of Igbo men they want to marry.
I feel your pain and ignorance at the same time. So sorry that you had to go through that to bury your dad. Why throw an entire ethnic group under the bus. For your information, there are bizarre cultural processes in every ethnic group world over. A little investigation would reveal that to you.

emperor863: The south is more united in your dreams because miscreants attacked Oba of Lagos (your enemy) and destroyed the property of Tinubu (your nightmare). You are a big fool
The southwest is not united with the Igbo for any reason. Your ancestors destroyed whatever unity that existed between us in 1959.
The call from Nnamdi Kanu to his demented followers to destroy Lagos and Tinubu is not lost on us. We will not forget.
There will be daylight in Lagos again. Darkness does not endure for long.
We don't want an attachment by force please. In a few days time you will no that there is nothing called southern unity.
What has Igbo got to do with this? An individual looted. Now, it is Igbo that looted. Go get education. If she deserves to be arrested, she will be arrested as a woman and not as an Igbo woman. The same thing the politicians use to divide you people that's what you've inherited. Can't you people see these things?
NwaNimo1: Embarrassment to the Igbo race..... we are better than that.
MrTAnonymous: Every Guy Likes A Thick Lady, But Only A Few Like Skinny Girls And Here’s Why
I’m writing on the reasons why majority of men prefer thick women to skinny women. First of all, if you are a man and you are reading this article right now, I will like to ask you, do you prefer a curvy lady or a skinny lady?
I know most of y’all will go for thick but only a few will say they like skinny girls, and the rest don’t really care, all they care is give them a beautiful girl and that would do, lol.
So before I dive into this, I’d like to ask the women reading this, do you prefer being thick or skinny?
Ok let’s go.
3 reasons why majority of guys like thick girls Well when I say thick I don’t mean just thick, duh! I also mean beautiful and curvy so that also applies to thick (beautiful and curvy too but not slim). Here are the 3 major reasons why most guys prefer thick women to skinny women:
1) They are presentable
Thick girls are presentable, but what do I mean by this? I mean that guys love the idea that their women can go places with them and not be looked down upon, that’s some guys minds for you, lol.
2) They are competitive
When men go out with their friends they want it to be that they can brag about their women looks, their shape etc. They want to always feel like their women are better or can be comparable with the other girls.
3) Some men don’t think Skinny girls are a catch
Most skinny girls are really beautiful it’s just that men have their eyes on something else.
Michaeljames22: What marks you as an intelligent person in Nigeria is not about the knowledge you gather from school. It's the ability to adjust to the demands of the society outside school.
I don't need university to teach me about her. I only do research and learn more. Am only concerned about your level of exposure. How could you not know such popular actress. It would be fair if you say you know her but don't like her for any reason.
Sorry for the word I used earlier. Just couldn't thought of any better word to describe you
