That's where your assumption is wrong. It is not just the sublime goal he scored against Uruguay. Instead, if you look at most of his games for SE you will see his excellent command of the midfield, great ball distribution, smart passes that have led to goals or attempts (because the strikers did not do justice... mr Musa et all). In short, he has been the ultimate playmaker and so yes, he deserves it, this is surely his time.
