solomon111: stop talking nonsense. The only parts gotten abroad are the engines.
Everything else is fabricated in Nigeria.
No Sir, quite more than just the engine is imported (from china) : The body panels, the transmission, the frame/chasis etc. These are all major components of the car. What innosun does is primarily what peugeot nigeria have been doing with the 504/505 since the 1970s with CKD production : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knock-down_kit

While this is a very commendable project, I think it should be correctly classified as a prototype.

I would rather fly dana than this one oh grin

By the way this is such OLD news, from 2007, is daily mail UK so desperate that they are recycling this in 2013??
Science/TechnologyRe: A Cat And Dog Relationship(pictures) by supaeagles(m):
This is because the oyimbo cat and dog in that picture have chop beleful (correct meat everything) and live with their owner in a/c house and even watch TV sef so why won't they be happy and frolicking with each other... tell me? Whereas, over here, in most cases, our cats/dogs are perpetually hungry and so eyeing & fighting each other for chance to get some extra food from their master who is also equally hustling around looking for his own daily bread and survival. undecided

(my fellow NLers, thank you, I appreciate your 'likes', it made my day)
Car TalkRe: Death Of The Z-600 Made-In-Nigeria Car by supaeagles(m): 4:08pm On Jun 26, 2013
Nigerians are too brand conscious. We would rather drive a Hyundai or Mazda than patronize an Innoson car. This woulda been Dead On Arrival, unfortunately.
innoson is not quite a Nigerian car. They merely assemble a foreign car with most of the parts sourced from abroad. We need to develop more local suppliers and have domestic designers involved.

PoliticsRe: FG May Ban Importation Of Generators by supaeagles(m):
There is NO NEED to ban importation of generators. Simply provide us with reliable public electricity (like we had in the 80s and 90s with NEPA) and no body will be buying these imported generators.
If you ban these generators, it may result in some of us being in total darkness!

this video should be shown in many engineering schools as Intro. Mechanical Engineering 101. With the limited resources the product is quite intriguing.
Btw, is is the same mechanic/designer that sang the intro song of that video?

biafranqueen: At least they try and be creative I am sure it will evolve like th model T everyone made fun of Ford in 1800s at first but his descendants are laughing in lavish life style well done bros
madam, the model T was invented in 1908 and trust me no one would have been laughing at it then since there was nothing like it in that era.
I do agree that we should be encouraging our domestic inventors.

coogar: his euro 2012 prediction nko?
he placed a £1 bet to predict the result of euro 2012 games with the actual score at 10,000/1. he sent the prediction to a TV station months before the completion and everything he predicted was correct including the scoreline of the final between spain and italy.
he gave the money to a charity organisation - is that another stunt?
Wrong - he made the prediction on June 21, 2012(during the 1/4 final stage) and he just gave an estimate of the final match's score line ( not the actual score). Source :. Many predicted Spain to win - so it was really not a big deal after all. He is just a very good illusionist - dats all.
TV/MoviesRe: Omotola Makes Her US TV Debut On 'Hit The Floor' by supaeagles(m): 4:48pm On Jun 25, 2013
biafranqueen: My daughter was in one commercial for 2 seconds and made $38,000.00 in residual check that is over 6 millions in 9ja
How many will make that in one year?
Give respect where it is do. Well done sexy mamma we r proud of you
that's nice to hear that, kudos to your daughter & you. However a commercial is in itself very short generally under 1 minute or so and so a 2 second role there has value. On the other hand, to get a 5 second role in a 30 minute plus movie/drama production is no comparison at all and not of much value.... IMHO. All the same, your point is noted, it is still a role featuring in a show for a bigger/global audience and is laudable I guess.
