Please receive brain from the most high, so that u will see the stupidity in ur utterances. F.ool! Jealousy and hatred because no one recognizes losers like u shey??
After reading your posts, I feel quite sad for you young man. Why is it so difficult for you to make your point without being abusive or coming across as asinine?

Grow up by learning to corroborate or constructively criticise rather than insulting every tom, dick and harry who are only trying to make an argument. It would help you.

I don't understand why the guy needs recognition from the President. Getting a 5.0 CGPA is indeed a rare feat, but all the media hype around him and blame on Mr President is very counter-intuitive. This guy has the world as his oyster. He could get a full scholarship, expand his knowledge and experience at the highest levels (World Bank, UN, etc) and give back meaningfully to society. I was particularly disgusted about the "no money for rent" claim and more disappointed in Freeze for being a part of that whole bullshit. It is clear there is a wrong sense of entitlement here, and I am now more concerned about the mindset of this young fellow and his supporters.

Mr Azuka, you have made your point. But remember to remind the young man about a few things:

1. There are opportunities that abound everywhere. Getting a 5.0 GPA does not confer any responsibility on anyone to reward you for that personal achievement.
2. He is only starting off in his career. He must learn to manage his sense of entitlement lest he thinks the world owes him anything. This would help him in the long run.
3. At this point, he should seek for mentorship and advice on how to chart his career and not think that a 5.0 CGPA is the ultimate
4. There is a lot more he can contribute at this point that would earn him the respect of a broader audience. How about mentoring other undergraduates and motivating the Nigerian youth in the line of academics?
5. There would always be another record breaker. He is not the first, and would not be the last.
6. Getting extrinsic motivators (national recognition, monetary rewards, material compensations), though sometimes a nice to have, can greatly influence your intrinsic motivation and increase your appetite for material things.

His achievement is laudable and he should be rewarded (by those who deem it fit to do so) but he still has a lot to learn as graduating from a tertiary institution is only the beginning. Life grades you by a different metric.

Why is this news? Is the restriction a recent development? A BASA deal shouldn't necessarily influence a country's immigration requirements.

I hope he gets beaten to shit. I still have it for these guys after stripping me of my belongings three weeks ago and costing me over N 100,000 in repairs.

Now fully armed, I am waiting for a repeat performance. If the police won't do their job to rid the roads of these miscreants, I will help them.

Let justice be served to the fool- jungle or not!

Beautiful country. Lived there for about 7 months and enjoyed every but of it.

@ OP, there are many places to explore beyond Manila area. Subic has great resorts, Baler is a surfers paradise and Lake Taal in Tagaytay is a sight to behold. If you are a water freak like me, get your divers license and snorkel as much as you can.

Such paradise...

AutosRe: Lets Give Your Car A World Class Look With Our Ultra Modern Spray Booth/oven by Superbrain(m): 2:28am On Apr 02, 2015
Hello,

Been following your thread for a while. I have a 2011 Honda Pilot I intend to spray but you seem not to be able to give a ballpark figure for your cost.

Secondly, it would really help if you showed people the "before" pictures not just "after" the job is done.

My Honda Pilot has slight dents on the sides. Can you fix that before doing the paint job?

Good move and I must commend the government for this. Cut down recurrent expenditure- some parastatals are existing for nothing.

But Mr. President why are the subsidy thieves not in jail and where is the refinery you promised us?

Such an idiot.

Like my wafi guys go say "Mr Mbu, e go shock you!"

Rivers is not Lagos. If you "share" any blood in Lagos state, you would end up with your paymaster in Otuoke faster than you thought.

Nonsense talk from a man supposed to protect lives and properties.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Testimonies Of Second-Class Lower Graduates Who Have Good Jobs by Superbrain(m):
The argument never ends.

When I graduated, I knew that was not the end of the world. I trusted more in who I knew myself to be and the grace of God. Could I have done better? Maybe, after all I had a scholarship from Exxon while in school so I knew I wasn't a dullard. I spent most of my time in school learning things different from my field of study and serving God.

It's 7 years since I graduated and it's been an epic journey. I applied for my masters immediately after graduation and was rejected left right and center. 6 US universities, 3 in the UK, 2 in Canada. I didn't give up. I kept my faith, kept working hard, tried my hands on a couple of things.

I have changed jobs three times since my first job. Worked for three multinationals, currently in the third and a senior manager (it's No 1 Employer of Choice and top 3 FMCG). I have been to so many countries, met with global leaders, and other influential people. I will tell you one thing- study hard, learn as much as you can, don't limit yourself to your field of study, but NEVER ignore the grace that comes from above. My last employer claim they took a gamble with me. Today, I know I'm an asset.

God never fails and to those that believe, keep believing. I have two of my course mates working in junior roles and they know that it's not by power or might. Life is spiritual...

Like the bible says, study to show thyself approved...in doing that, function in grace knowing that it is not of him that willeth but of God that showeth mercy.

PS: I knew no man. Called no one. Applied to every single job with faith in my heart, the word in my mouth and seed on the altar of God. Today I'm a living testimony. Have faith!

from ubits to 400l electrical and 500l civil, blue lab coat is what is worn. so how did you know he wasn't in final year doing ELA 201
Oga, if you are in 400 Level Engr and you no get memory problem, you would probably know most or all your level mates that you attended class with in 100 level, and even those that started before you. Same with 300 level students, so relax.

Ever wondered how 400/500L Engr boiz always knew who was a juve and who was not? Plus he was not only wearing a blue lab coat, he was carrying drawing board too. grin

Nogen:
My darling, e no pain me at all! I attended one of the best Universities in Nigeria, I'm an Akokite and we do not glorify cultists. Every time a thread on Uniben is created, check it out, you people are glorifying your cultists. Is that all that happens in that school? It is nauseating please!

I will never beef your school and your good for nothing cults and their wicked activities!! YOU people are quick to come online to tell us how students are raped, robbed and even killed by them. I do not see what I should be proud of there or even envy! Continue singing their praises instead of condemning their acts. I pray you become a victim one day. Silly University! !!!
Hey, take a chill pill...No one is praising or glorifying these acts. For most of us, we had no option than to find a way to survive amidst all these. When you look back, you can only smile and thank God, not because it is something you admire, but because he saw you through and when you even meet some of the guys who carried out these acts, you will be grateful to God for the new life they lead.

So chill, it's not a university banter. These were and still are the realities of the place called Ekosodin and almost 40% of Student population reside there. If you had better options in life, not everyone had one. Rather than blame the victims, blame the authorities who could not instill law and order in that community.
EducationRe: The Notorious Ekosodin Village Uniben by Superbrain(m): 3:23am On Dec 25, 2014
Hahaha...I can totally relate

Lived in Ekosodin for the six (6) years I schooled in UNIBEN. The experiences are countless.

1. Frog jumping for about 500m because I was "roaming" for chairman dem area near Hostel 37 (100 Level)

2. Broad daylight shooting by 2pm during my registration. I throway my folder run enter Lagos. Popsy no gree hear, sent me back. (100 Level)

3. Robbery on Ekhorotunwen (I hope I got it right) just before Newton's Villa. My new Sagem X7 was collected after I received two resounding slaps (100 Level)

4. Personal Encounter with "Black Ninja"- Those who know, know...Na God save me that day

5. Robbery on the road that leads to Colon Towers, just after Twins junction. The mark of the hand axe is still on my head

6. Unfortunately indicted for housing a friend that was trying to escape from cultism. God himself saved me that day because I left my place 5 mins before they stormed and took away my TV and VCD

7. Kneeling down for 1hr in Colon Towers, because one small boy no hear my "Good Morning"

By 300 LEVEL, I knew who was who. Africa, Bazu... grin WHo know, still know

8. Challenged an oppressor and was slapped. I saw the guy later in Engr. wearing blue lab coat (meaning he was in 200 level). I control my men wey dey my 400 Level class, and he was humbled.

9. Settled numerous issues from Mummy is Good to United Villa to Prince Villa. I was the acclaimed Pastor wey no dey hear word.

10. Final year in Ekosodin was fun. If someone's phone was stolen, I knew who to call. If any of my friends had any issues, I knew who to tell. Helped many young guys escape the popular "open office for your head" which meant buying beer or cigar.

In retrospect, these cult guys are just young and fearful guys trying to prove themselves to the world. They are the most lily-livered folks I have met. When they are being looked for, they would run to Pastor, asking me to pray for them.

It might not have been the best of experiences, but Ekosodin was a true reflection of the world we live in. I went, I saw, and I conquered.

BTW, all those guys of those years are married with beautiful kids, some of them burning for God. Glad we never gave up on them.
