Niiade: whao yesterday was hectic, never seen such before at the airport. took my brother to the airport for his 9.45pm flight to JFK on Alitalia got there around 7.30 pm serious mad traffic. Only to be told the flight finished checking around 3pm and its had almost finished boarding and no more baggage would be loaded that the flight is only being prepared to take off. whoa straight shock to his mother instantly she almost fainted, she sprung into action luckily for us a senior police officer's son was to go on that flight and he just came, A very popular senior ranking officer when they heard his name they had to start looking for solution and my brother and mother hooked up with him and they attended to both of them, a lil hausa allowed the Ndlea officer to quickly skim though luggage and sharply bags were taken in for loading and my brother rushed off to the departure section, The police officer boy was just relaxed ni sha, at about 9.30 the boy just strolled through all the processes skipped lines and went straight to the scanners and went through. we thank God for his mercies cus it was stated that no free flights for the next few days, not heard from him yet he should be in minneapolis anytime soon.
it was a miracle. Wow! Thank God! Miracles exists. |

ekpotek: Hi all,
I am happy to inform the house that my US visa interview today 6/07/2014 was successful. I was a bit nervous and apprehensive as I was attending the interview with my wife. The US consulate, Lagos has really changed, going by the last time I visited in 2008. Interviews are done in the open reception area and you can hear and see how applicants are either approved or refused. My interview was scheduled for 7.30am but did not start until 9.45am, due to the crowd. This is transcripts of the interview:
VO: How are are doing? Us: Fine Sir. VO: I can see that you're going to New Orleans Me: Yes VO: What are you going there for? Me: We are going to attend two conferences.
Typing vigorously on the computer, glanced at our passports and asked VO: And what do you do? Me: I am bla bla bla bla
The VO look at his computer screen again and continue to type. He then turned to us and asked VO: I see that you have been to the US before, when was this? Me: 2008 VO: So the conferences that you're attending is related to your work? Me: Yes VO: Any your wife, what does she do? oh I see she is accompanying you, I guess for her it's holiday Wife: Yes sir. VO: How long have you been married? Me: 5 years VO: Are you planning to attend to any medical or health issues in the US? Us: No VO: Okay, your visas have been approved. Pick up your passport next Wednesday at this location. Thank you. Us: Thank you and bye
Duration on interview: 3 minutes.
No document was requested. This is God in action. May his name be praised for evermore, in Jesus name amen. Wow, congratulations!!! Thanks be to God. |

Sjvictor21: Hey guys... I just wanna say a big thank you to all those that contributed to my success. I'm the ukraine student that wanted to apply for a USA tourist visa. My interview was yesterday and it was amazing... I was pretty scared to be honest. They kept on denying applicants. The consular was really friendly with me. Afterall prayer works. VO: (She had started smiling at me from afar) ME: (I was wondering if something was on me that made her smile that much at me) I smiled with a smirk and with a cool childish voice. I said "hellooo"... I actually used a British accent to say that word.. Lol.
VO: Hello... How are you? ME: I'm fine. VO: where are you going to in the states? ME: New York. VO: What for? ME: Tourism VO: why New York?
ME: this was the moment I flopped.. But God's grace is always sufficient. His favour really stood by me I said "New York is the most popular place in the US & Besides, that's one of the most interesting place to tourists.
VO: she smiled so hard and said Ok. What do you do? ME: I'm a medical student. VO: when are you going to be done. ME: I said twenty-sixteen (2016) VO: who is your sponsor? ME: my father VO: what's does he do? ME: I said he works with bleep bleep and he is the bleep bleep
VO: she nodded her head in approval.. I could feel the success from where I stood shaking like a leaf.. Then she opens my passport.. Oh!.. Where have you been to?
ME: I was shocked because I thought she was supposed to know that in my visa application. Anyway i listed all the 5 countries I've been to.
VO: she nodded again. She didn't even ask me for what. She didn't even bother to check any documents. OK. She hands me a white paper and said. Please kindly pick up your passport next Thursday. Have a good day..
ME: Victory! Victory! Victory! I kept on shouting that In my mind... I said thank you. Picked up my documents and left.
To be candid with you, my answers were not that perfect.. My voice was shaking.. My hands.. And so on.. The way she kept on smiling at me made me comfortable... It was just God.. Maybe it was because of the way I dressed that made her smile. I don't know. But there's something I very sure about. It was just God.
During interview, please stand firm. You could place your two hands on the platform which is on the cubicle to ease your mind of fright. Do not say unnecessary things. Be straightforward n plain. Don't give stories.. Or compliment any of them(I love your hair). The best you can say is "Thank you". They do not care. They are just doing their job. Someone did that shii and was denied. She didn't even smile at the compliment. She acted as if she didn't hear that... When the applicant left. She started laughing. And if during the interview you flop in one or two questions.. Don't place ur hands on your head or sigh deeply or make funny exclamations. Just stay put and smile. If you can't smile then bone up. Don't be dramatic abeg. Just have faith. I love this, congratulations. God's grace at work, happy for you |

tzetzefly: An M-1 visa is a type of student visa reserved for vocational and technical schools.
To obtain an M-1 visa for traveling to the United States, a student must present a signed Form I-20 at a United States embassy or consulate in his home country.
The I-20 is issued by a designated school official, typically the international student adviser, after the student has fulfilled a school's admissions requirements and presented proof of financial resources.
For short periods of recreational study, a Visitor (B) visa can be used.
Enrollment in a short recreational course of study, which is not for credit toward a degree or academic certificate, is permitted on a visitor (B) visa.
