What did Flora Nwapa and Onyenaucheya achieved that can be comparable to Chimamanda, Ezekwesili ?

Akunyili.."it is a privilege to be born an onye Anambra "

Adichie.."Anambra dialect is the most elegant Igbo dialect "

Nwapa didn't even win clay pot neither did Onyenaucheya win bamboo stick
quit being divisive. I suspect you are not even Igbo and you are not well informed too. Because if you were, you would know that all the women mentioned here were trailblazers.

Ezekwesili is good, so is Arunma Oteh, they were both public servants and former World Bank senior staffs.
PoliticsMy Igbo Slay Queens (part 1) by superlightning(op): 6:54pm On Apr 24, 2020
There are Igbo women who inspire me, and believe me, it has nothing to do with Physical looks that young ladies today often point to. In no particular order they are as follows -

1. Flora Nwapa: First Female Bestselling Writer in Africa. Her book "Efuru" is widely regarded as an achievement for women in literature. Her memory was honoured by Google doodle last year. Other great female writers like Buchi Emecheta, Chimamanda Adichie, Chika Unigwe, Tricia Nwaubani, etc have all been inspired in one way or the other by this legendary slay mama. Imo state should name an institution after this woman to immortalize. Mumu Rochas didn't even build a monument or statue after this icon.

2. Dora Akunyili: First female DG of NAFDAC. She was regarded as the most effective public servant of the 2000s in Nigeria due to her successful crusade against substandard food and drug products. During her tenure, NAFDAC became recognized by the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA and World Health Organization WHO as a leading research institute in West Africa. Neighbouring countries like Ghana had to bring their products for testing. Dora is till today the most decorated public servant in Nigeria. She was a proud daughter of Anambra.

3. Capt. Chinyere Onyenucheya: The First Female pilot and woman to fly an aircraft in Nigeria. This ushered her into a club of very few female pilots Africa could boast of.This woman inspired a whole new generation of Nigerian women that what a man can do, a woman can do better. She was the Director of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority until her retirement in 2014. She is from Ukwa East in Abia State.

4. Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala: She is Nigeria's First Female Minister of Finance and her efforts in that office helped in the cancellation of Nigeria's foreign debts by the Paris Club. The Harvard and MIT trained Economist was the former Managing Director of World Bank and a favorite for the coveted position of the President of World Bank. Currently she is the Chair of G.A.V.I., Economic Advisor to the South African Government and one of the board directors of Twitter Inc. She is from Ogwashi-Ukwu in Delta State.

VastfinderBlog:
Captain Chinyere Kalu was born in 1970. She is the first female pilot in Nigeria. A woman grew up in a very supportive big family. She decided to begin her career in Aviation because of her adventurous aunt. Her aunt was well famous for traveling abroad a lot of times. They had the matriarch in their family, so her aunt approved Chinyere’s decision and so a lady began her career into aviation.

The first female Nigerian pilot is Chinyere Kalu, who studied in Anglican Girls Grammar School, which is in Yaba, in Lagos. Then she was trained as a Commercial and Private Pilot. She also took a few aviation courses in Zaria, UK, and the USA.

Chinyere Kalu always wanted to travel the world and have an adventurous lifestyle. So she decided to take up the truly male dominated and very difficult career in order to become the first female pilot in Nigeria.

Nigeria first female fighter pilot is married to Mr. Okoli Kali and has children. 6 years ago President Goodluck Jonathan proclaimed her the Chief Executive and Rector of Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (which is mostly known as NCAT) - which is the biggest aviation training institute in the whole continent.

Before that, Chinyere Kalu was leading the College’s Flying School. There Chinyere Kalu worked as a contractual instructor.

I don't know why this pics is generating undue mention,
1) the fat guy in that pics isn't the governor
2) it was actually the deputy governor from ohafia that distributed tankers of kerosene during the campaign period- you umuahians(if truly you are from their) know that but would never say the truth.
the governor recently shared food items and funds as palliatives but I don't see it making news, once he takes care of ph road, you guys would jump to another road

My Love Experience

Good day NLanders

I'm a medical student, and gf ( not sure what to call her now) is in MLS. We are both in same level (500l).

It all started in 2015, when we gained admission into the University. We began to read together and subsequently I started teaching her. Later on, she made me to read and susummarize her course topics (which I did for up to her 300 level) for her as she usually found it difficult to read with textbooks and understand the contents.

Months before my 2nd MBBS examinations, I began to notice changes in her attitude and behaviour towards me, up to the point that she told me that if I did not pass that examinations that, she will forget about me. But as God may have it, I passed successfully.

Financially, it started right in year one as I celebrated her and her mummy's Christmas from my own pocket. It got to a point that I usually give her her money almost every day (for up to 5yrs) Whenever, I'm traveling in any of our vacations, I usually give money for upkeep until I'm back.

In 300l, I bought her gift worth almost 30k and also celebrated her birthday which she demanded I get her 'point and kill cat fish' that cost 9k.

I usually pay for her textbooks and seminar work as we are all in medical school, I really do a lot for her, as she always told me she would never leave me right from yr 1 to 500l after which she started telling me, their people from Anambra will not let her marry people from Ebonyi State.

She's has known this for all her life, but decided to bring it up just now, when I'm beginning my marriage plans with her, She's started giving me unnecessary excuses in one form or the other.

In 400L, my elder brother told me that I should leave my medical school here to go and study the same medicine abroad. Because of her, I told him that I want to finish my school here since I am already in 400 level. That after my MBBS degree, I can then go abroad for my Masters degree...

This January, my elder brother told me that since I would be graduating in 2022 (which supposed to be 2021 but due to strike before the 2019 election) which is two years time, that I should be planning to get married before I leave this country.

This made me to ask her again if we are ending up together and she told me that she has to seek for her mother's consent, and would give me a feedback.

Before, she travelled (this is just before the lock down) as she was complaining that she does not have any money on her to eat and she want to go and learn how to plait hair which will cost her #8,000, I gave her #16,000. The next day after collecting the money, she told me that she received a call from her mother that she must come back to her State and she travelled with that money without learning anything.

Yesterday by 8:24pm, I called her to tell me the outcome of her mother's discussion with her. She told me that her mother insisted that she cannot marry an Ebonyi man, and she cannot go outside her mother's decision.

In conclusion, she told me that she cannot marry me.

Well, as expected, I'm bracing myself up for insults, (I really don't mind this right now) but amidst the insults, pls advice a brother who's fighting emotionally.

thanks
my dear brother, you deserve better in life than that thing you called your ex. Make a good name for yourself and your people, you will see ladies of all tribes rushing to you like sugar-loving ants.

Ebonyi people are worth being proud of. I'm just as proud of your notable sons and daughters -

1. Akanu Ibiam
2. Sinach
3. Patoranking
4. Tekno
5. Prof ogbu, a renowned US based Anthropologist
6. Dave Umahi
7. Ognonnaya Onu
